Race 1: Goodwood Pastoral Company Benchmark 60 Handicap 1000 metres:
1st – MOUNTAIN PROMISE 2nd – COURT ACTION 3rd – FLAMINGO ROSE 4th – JOHNNYDRAMA

EXCEEDED – As no other rider was available Stewards permitted Jockey D Ballard to ride the gelding 1 kilogram overweight.

COURT ACTION - Was slowly into stride.

Race 2: Kabzs Plumbing Benchmark 45 Handicap 1000 metres:
1st – MY MICHELLE 2nd – SPURS ON 3rd – FIRST PAIGE 4th – KELCHEZ

The gelding EXTRA which was resuming following a prolonged absence from racing was inspected by the Club Veterinarian pre-race and was passed fit to start.

MY MICHELLE – Was reluctant to load.

EXTRA – Stood flat-footed as the barriers opened, losing 6 lengths. Trainer Mr. W Crossland was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s barrier manners which would be monitored at future starts.

KELCHEZ- Bumped with another runner on jumping.

SPURS ON – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

DIURNAL TIGER - Bumped with another runner on jumping.

Race 3: Dulcie Grimshaw Memorial Bracelet QTIS Maiden Plate 1000 metres:
1st – BANCO 2nd – AKHEILOS 3rd – ON A ZEPHYR 4th – LACH’S POCKET

COCOA POPS – Was slowly away. Apprentice T Tincknell reported that the gelding had resented the kickback throughout.

BANCO - Was slowly into stride.

ENVIOUS EYES - Jockey K Ballard reported that the mare had resented the kickback throughout.

Race 4: PE & GC Harris Road Contractors Boulia Cup Open Handicap 1200 metres:
1st – ALL FIVES 2nd – THE GALLOWS 3rd – REVEL IN THE CHAOS 4th – ALFILER(NZ)

ALFILER(NZ) – Shifted out on jumping, crowding another runner.

THE GALLOWS – Was slowly into stride after being crowded by another runner which shifted out on jumping.

CARRY ME- Jockey J Esser reported that the gelding had failed to handle the track at any stage and was inclined to hang out throughout.

Race 5: Kev Barr Contracting Benchmark 55 Handicap 1200 metres:
1st – THE PANTZ 2nd – CHAMPAGNE FLYER 3rd – MORE TO IT 4th – SUBOSAMI

Jockey J Esser was fined the sum of $200.00 under the provisions of AR.120(b) when unable to make the allotted weight for GUN AND POWER after having accepted the ride. As no other rider was available Stewards permitted Jockey Esser to ride the gelding 4 kilograms overweight.

MORE TO IT – As no other rider was available Stewards permitted Jockey D Ballard to ride the mare 2 kilograms overweight.

GUN AND POWER – Was unable to muster early pace after being slowly away.

SUBOSAMI – Began awkwardly.
