GENERAL
1. Prior to the running of Race 1, the track was upgraded to a Good 4 at 11:30am.
2. As apprentice rider Jamie-Lee Devine reported ill at Innisfail on Saturday 20 June 2026, she was replaced as per the Stewards race day summary.
Race 1: THE BIG MANGO BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 1000M
TOW THE LINE – Began awkwardly.
SENSATIONABULL – Finished distanced from the field. Rider Chelsea Jokic reported at scale that SENSATIONABULL failed to travel throughout and was disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
LADY DE VEGA – Disappointed for a run at the 250 metres. Went to the line without being fully tested after being unable to secure clear over the concluding stages.
MR DAMAGE – Began awkwardly. Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages. Trainer Darby Amos reported following the event that MR DAMAGE had suffered a minor laceration to the off-side hock consistent with being galloped on in running.
RACE 2: FLAGSTAFF HILL LOOKOUT Class B Handicap 1000M
VAGABOND PRINCE – Taken wider on jumping. Raced wide in the early stages and middle stages.
HOT LUCI – Weakened over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
EGZAKLY – Began awkwardly and shifted out, taking RUBY DOREEN out onto VAGABOND PRINCE.
RUBY DOREEN – Bumped by RUBY DOREEN on jumping, taking VAGABOND PRINCE wider.
RACE 3: MOTHER BEDDOCK LOOKOUT OPEN Handicap 1200M
SWEET KISSES – Proved difficult to load. Bumped with STRATHCONA on jumping. Weakened over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Trainer Georgie Holt reported that following today’s run, consideration would now be given to retiring the mare from racing.
STRATHCONA – Dipped as the start was affected, then bumped with SWEET KISES shortly after.
RACE 4: GRAND VIEW HOTEL QTIS Maiden Plate 1200M
KING CANUTE – Compounded over the concluding stages finishing distanced from the field. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
FILLYDELPHIA MISS – Slow into stride.
RACE 5: FILBY’S MOTORS RATINGS BAND 0-55 Handicap 1280M
WAR COUNCIL – Shifted out on jumping bumping with SOUND THE BUGLE. When questioned regarding the riding tactics adopted today, in particular in the middle stages, apprentice rider Samantha Pointon, in the presence of senior rider Tasha Chambers, reported that after beginning well, WAR COUNCIL began to over-race when racing to the outside of STARMEIRA and refused to settle in the middle stages despite her efforts.
CHANCE – Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.
SOUND THE BUGLE – Shifted in on jumping bumping with WAR COUNCIL.
STARMEIRA – Commenced to race keenly in the middle stages when leading.
