Race 1: BSNA / PROJECT PUMPS & IRRIGATION QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1000m
 
GEORGY THE GREAT – Raced wide throughout.
 
QUE CEE SPADE – Blundered on jumping contacting ANCIENT STYLE.
 
MISS ORWELL – Slow into stride.
 
STATE OF AWE – Late scratching at 11:45 am due to no suitable available rider.
 
 
Race 2: MILRAY CONTRACTING / DALTON CONSULTING ENGINEERS BENCHMARK 45 HANDICAP 1000m
 
KWINERN – Blundered on jumping.
 
MALVAGIO – Jumped awkwardly. Cast an offside fore plate in running.
.
PSYCHOKINESIS – Blundered when the start was affected and lost ground.Raced wide throughout. Apprentice L. Overall advised that the mare was travelling well to the home turn and then when placed under pressure and finished only fairly. He advised the mare had a tendency to hang in over the final 200 metres.
 
MISS HELMUT – Raced three wide throughout.
 
 
Race 3: OB1 CONSTRUCTIONS / K9 WELDING RATINGS BAND 0 – 60 HANDICAP 1200m
 
DOLLSON – Stewards gave permission for apprentice L. Overall to claim only 1.5kg of his 2.0kg allowance as no other apprentice rider was available. Apprentice Overall was reminded of his obligations to claim his full allowance when he accepts rides. Tended to hang out over the concluding stages.
 
MARTY AWHA – Raced wide throughout. Apprentice R. Wilson was reprimanded under the provisions of AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using the whip on 7 occasions prior to the 100m.

DONENOTHING – Stewards approved a late request to allow the mare to race with hindleg bandages.Shifted wide from the 500 metres.
 
GINASUE – Raced extremely wide throughout.
 
KANGALOON - Raced wide throughout.
 
 
Race 4: GJCM SURVEYS / TL SAVILLE RURAL MAINTENANCE OPEN PLATE 1200m
 
ASHTON BLAIR – Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
 
DAWN TOO GOOD – Raced wide throughout.
 
TIGER LEGEND – Apprentice L. Overall was questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the gelding which was under pressure from the 400 metres. He advised thatin his opinion TIGER LEGEND not been comfortable on the sand track. His explanation was noted.
 
LIGHTHORSE LAD – Trainer G. Smith was questioned regarding the rider being declared after the prescribed time. His explanation was accepted.Knuckled badly as the start was affected almost dislodging jockey D. Smith. Lost considerable ground in this incident.Trainer Smith advised that he would give consideration to the horses immediate racing future.  
 
 
Race 5: HAMMER AND CO BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1400m
 
Approaching the 400 metres a large group of kangaroos moved from the infield and crossed the track as runners approached. No runners were disadvantaged as a consequence.
 
DENSITY – Compounded over the concluding stages. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
MISS FUBULICIOUS – Jockey S. Sheargold was questioned regarding the disappointing performance. He advised that MISS FUBULICIOUS dropped the bit from
the 1000 metres and was under pressure therafter.
 
FLUTTERING – Returned to scale with blood present in the mouth. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had bit its toungue and sustained an insignificant laceration.
 
RUN RAMPANT – Raced wide throughout.
