RACE 2: PRICE RITE TYREPOWER CLASS B HCP – 1000M
SPINTHESONY – Crowded for room, bumped by another runner and became momentarily unbalanced at the start.

JACK ‘N’ TAJ – Jumped in making contact with another runner and became momentarily unbalanced.
JIMMY TWISTS – Checked near the 550m when HILDESHEIM hung in. Rider reported that after the interference suffered near the 550m, the gelding did not travel comfortably for the remainder of the event and subsequently tailed off. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

RACE 4: CHARLEVILLE TYRE SERVICE CLASS 2 HCP – 1100M
BLINKIN HASTY – Rider reported at scale that after beginning well the mare obtained a forward position and raced comfortably in the early and middle stages of the event. She further added that when pressuring Blinkin Hasty over the concluding stages it failed to respond to her riding and proved disappointing. Apprentice N. Morton added that the mare would be better suited to a track with a firmer surface.
GENERAL NICK – Raced in restricted room near the 800m.
MASTER FARALON – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages. When questioned in regards to the tactics adopted over the concluding stages, apprentice G. Steele stated that when she began to pressure her mount after straightening near the 250m, she elected to improve to the inside of the fading Blinkin Hasty where there was insufficient room and was subsequently disappointed for a run. Apprentice G. Steele agreed with stewards that she had erred in opting to obtain a run to the inside of Blinkin Hasty when there was ample room to the mares outside. Stewards will be referring today’s race footage to her master for further analysis and tutelage.
