OFFICIALS

GENERAL 
 As Jockey J Baker unable to make the allotted weight on SIR OCCY he was replaced by jockey B Newport. J Baker was charged under the provisions of AR190(3) and fined a sum of $100.
Stewards permitted the following overweights:
Race 3 – SIR OCCY +.50kg (56.5kg)
Race 5 – AMARANTZ +.50kg (56.5kg)
Race 1:NEVILLE GREEN 10 YEAR MEMORIAL CLASS B HANDICAP 1050m
LUNESSA – Began awkwardly.
BONTOBEWILD – Laid in under pressure over the final 150m.
MISS RAPIDE – Slow to begin.
MAKERS – Raced wide for the majority.
 
 
Race 2:DARROOL SHEPPARD MEMORIAL QTIS BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1050m
ENFLAMED – Weaken from the 400m. Shortly after the winning post made heavy contact with BOSS BANDIT which shifted out abruptly.  Jockey J Baker reported the gelding travelled well early however when placed under pressure did not respond. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
Jockey Baker was treated by QAS for an injury to his right foot before being transported to Charleville hospital for further treatment. J Baker was advised a medical clearance will be required prior to race riding again.
ZUFASTA –Prior to running, Jockey R Faehr dismounted and raised concerns with Stewards that the gelding was proving difficult to control when proceeding to the barriers and as a result refused to remount the horse. The gelding was subsequently declared a late scratching at 2:10pm with Stewards ordering the following deductions applicable to all successful wagers placed prior to 2:10pm:
13c in the dollar for the win
12c in the dollar for the place on the winner
12c in the dollar for 2nd place
12c in the dollar for 3rd place
 Stewards took into account that this was the first occasion R Faehr had ridden the gelding and therefore after discussions with Jockey R Faehr and Trainer R Connely, Stewards elected to place a warning on ZUFASTA for its pre-race manners.
JOEY JAWS (NZ) – Blundered on jumping. App S Pointon reported her saddle slipped at the start placing her at a disadvantage.
BOSS BANDIT – Shifted out abruptly shortly after the finish line. Trainer V Jones was advised that BOSS BANDIT will need to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to racing again.
Race 3:CATTLE CAMP HOTEL CLASS 5 HANDICAP 1400m
VOLDEMORT – Slow into stride. Raced wide for the majority.
EDWARDS – Laid in under pressure from the 200m-100m.
Race 4:THANK YOU MURWEH SHIRE COUNCIL BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP  1200m
UPTURN – Late scratching on vet’s advice after arriving on course with minor lacerations from a floating injury. As oncourse betting had not proceeded, no deductions were applied. Trainer L Baker was advised a vet clearance would be required prior to racing again.
KING'S GOLD – Stood flat footed and took no competitive part in the race. Trainer, G Bignell was advised the gelding would need to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to racing again.
WHODARESWINS – Blundered on jumping.
OAKFIELD TARGET – Blundered on jumping. Raced wide for the majority.
AREYA TUCHUZY – Late scratching by order of Steward as no suitable riders were available. As oncourse betting had not proceeded, no deductions were applied.
IL TORO D'ORO – Blundered on jumping and took no competitive part in the race.
Race 5:WESTERN RURAL SERVICES OPEN HANDICAP 1200m
HAN DYNASTY – App P Fergusson-Smith reported the gelding felt comfortable early however raced flat when asked for an effort near the 600m, she further added the heavy weight and track conditions may have also contributed to the gelding’s poor performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.


 FLANK SPEED – Trainer, W Baker was fined a sum of $100 under the provisions of LR67(1) for the late declaration of rider. Laid out under pressure in the home straight.
DECIDUOUS – Tailed off in the home straight. App Robbins reported that this was the gelding first start on sand and did not handle the track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have a poor recovery.  App S Robbins was reminded of her obligations to desist from using the whip when her mounts are out of contention.
MISTREY EMPEROR – Blundered on jumping.
AMARANTZ – Began awkwardly and slow into stride. Jockey B Newport reported the mare failed to handle today track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
