GENERAL



Stewards permitted the following over-weights:



Race 5- S McGovern +1kg







As App Z Sprie and Jockey G Steele were not riding at todays meeting due to personal resosons rider replacements were made as per Stewards race day summary.





App L O’Donnell was reprimanded for failing to claim down to her nominated riding weight in races 1,3 & 4.







Race 1: SQS SOIL & CONCRETE TESTING QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1200m



I AM JIMMY- Delayed the start when refused to load and was subsequently declared a late scratching at 1:44pm. Prior to the declaration of correct all monies invested on the gelding were ordered to be refunded with the following deductions applicable to all successful wagers placed prior to 1:44pm:



5cents in the dollar for the win

3cents in the dollar for the place on the winner

11cents for 2nd place

13cents for 3rd place



Trainer M Park was advised the gelding would be required to obtain a further barrier certificate prior to again being permitted to start in a race.





MORE MAX- Began awkwardly.



HUNTING GOLD- Began awkwardly and shifted in. Inclined to lay in under pressure down the running. Jockey N Fazackerley was reprimanded under the provisions of AR132(7)(a)(ii) in that he did use his whip on 6 occasions, 1 more than permitted, prior to the 100m.



SUPERIOR ONE- Slow into stride. Finished tailed off. Trainer J Brand advised that connections would now consider the mares immediate racing future. Nonetheless, Trainer Brand was advised a warning would be placed on the mares competitiveness.



MAHBABY- Inclined to race keenly in the middle stages. Shifted wider passing the 600m whilst racing keenly taking another runner wider.



PALENTIFUL- Inclined to lay out under pressure down the running.



THE LOVE OF MARY- Inconvenienced passing the 200m having to be steadied and shift out around heels.



RODIAN BULL- Taken wider by another runner passing the 600m. Shifted in under pressure passing the 200m inconveniencing THE LOVE OF MARY (App R Wilson). Jockey S Fawke was severely reprimanded and advised to show greater care as a result of this incident. Raced wide for the majority.



BABYDAZE- Shifted in and away from heels approaching the 900m.



ZARAGIGI- Raced wide for the majority.







Race 2: CHINCHILLA TOWING MAIDEN PLATE 1400m



BOND GIRL- Was declared a late scratching on veterinary advice at 12:19pm after becoming cast in the horse transport vehicle on route to the course. Trainer G Schrader was advised the mare would require a veterinary certificate of fitness prior to again being permitted to start in a race.



SKY SPRINTER- Bumped on jumping. Hampered passing the 200m when crowded for room.



SHIKAKKA- Slow to begin and became awkwardly placed on heels soon after. Raced wide for the majority and finished tailed off. App S Stephan advised that her mount had been inclined to hang throughout.



IT MUST BE LOVE- Bumped on jumping. Became momentarily awkwardly placed on heels passing the 1200m when crowded for room. Inclined to lay in under pressure down the running.



FRIEND OF GOLD- Began awkwardly. Inclined to lay out under pressure down the running hampering another runner passing the 200m. Jockey K Yoshida was advised to exercise greater care in similar circumstances.



MADAME TESS- Shifted in and away from another runner passing the 1200m crowding runners to its inside. Inclined to lay in under pressure down the running hampering another runner passing the 200m Jockey S McGovern was advised to exercise greater care in similar circumstances.



TRUBOOM- Inclined to hangout rounding the home turn. Raced wide for the majority. Finished tailed off. Jockey N FAzackerley advised his mount had been inclined to lay out throughout the event. Trainer S Green was advised a warning would be placed on the fillies racing manners.



VAIN LUKE- Became momentarily awkwardly placed on heels passing eh 200m. Inclined to lay in under pressure down the running. Raced wide for the majority.



HE’S VIRAL- Raced wide for the majority.







Race 3: CRITCH AUTOMOTIVE GROUP OPEN HANDICAP 1400m



Declaration of correct weight was delayed when Jockey N fazackerley, rider of 3rd placed getter REST OF THE WORLD, lodged an objection against 2nd placed getter KAPPY CINO (App J Cornish) alleging interference passing the 400m. After taking evidence from the riders involved as well as the relevant connections and viewing the official patrol footage it was determined that REST OF THE WORLD had been inconvenienced and obliged to ease passing the 400m when attempting to improve into an tight run. As Stewards could not be comfortable satisfied that the interference could be attributed solely to KAPPY CINO the protest was dismissed and corrected weight declared on the Judges numbers.

REST OF THE WORLD- Dwelt in the barrier and was slow into stride. Inconvenienced passing the 400m when attempting to improve into a tight run and obliged to ease.



KAPPY CINO- Inclined to lay in marginally rounding the home turn.







Race 4: ONSITE CHINCHILLA CLASS 3 PLATE 1200m



Declaration of correct weight was delayed to allow App J Molloy, rider of 2nd place getter BATANGAS ENTRY, to view the official patrol footage to ascertain whether grounds for an objection existed against STRYKING PRINCESS (App E MacPherson) being declared the winner. After viewing the relevant footage App Molloy elected not to proceed with the objection and correct weight was declared on the Judges numbers.





HALCYON DAYS- Due to a clerical error the gelding was displayed in some form guides as not wearing blinkers when the gelding was to race in that piece of gear. This was advertised by way of social media address and oncourse announcement.



SWEET VENOM- Proved reluctant to load delaying the start. Trainer G Richardson was advised the mare would be required to obtain a further barrier certificate prior to again being permitted to start in a race. Raced wide for the majority.



BATANGAS- Bumped on jumping. Bumped by another runner passing the 100m.



SEA ECHO- Bumped on jumping after beginning awkwardly.



RURAL REBEL- Laid in bumping another runner passing the 800m. Inclined to lay out rounding the home turn. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which found the mare to have sustained superficial lacerations to both hind fetlocks consistent with being galloped on in running.



STRYKING PRINCESS- Laid in passing the 800m. Shifted out under pressure passing the 200m bumping another runner. App E MacPherson was reprimanded as a result of this incident and advised to exercise greater effort in straightening her mount.



STUCHBREE STAMP- Performed below market expectations. App L O’Donnell advised that her mount raced ungenerously at times consistent with this being his first outing on a clockwise circuit adding, in her opinion, the gelding would be better suited to races over further distances. Stewards noted the comments.





Race 5: SPECIALITY SERVICES QLD BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1030m



COMMANDING WITNESS- Due to a clerical error the gelding was displayed in some form guides as not wearing blinkers when the gelding was to race in that piece of gear. This was advertised by way of social media address and oncourse announcement. Bumped soon after the start. Raced wide for the majority.



SEE FOR YOURSELF- Bumped on jumping.



BEGIN- Began awkwardly before being slow into stride. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a poor post-race recovery.



VALAR DOHAERIS- Stood flat footed and was slow into stride. Trainer G Schrader will be advised a warning will be placed on the geldings barrier manners. Raced wide for the majority. App O Webb advised that, in her opinion, the gelding would be better suited to races over further distances and would benefit from a gear change. Stewards noted the comments.



GDANSK- Bumped soon after jumping. Inclined to race keenly in the middle stages. Inclined to lay in under pressure down the running. Raced wide for the majority.



SPI IT SLOW- Bumped soon after jumping. Inclined to race keenly in the middle stages. Inclined to lay in under pressure down the running.



AIN’T SHE LOVELY- Buffeted between runners on jumping.



TOCCO D’ORO- On returning to the mounting yard was found to have lost its off-hind plate in running.





Race 6: PROCREW CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1030m



LUCKY ENUFF- Due to a clerical error the gelding was displayed in some form guides as not wearing blinkers when the gelding was to race in that piece of gear. This was advertised by way of social media address and oncourse announcement.



ZAKHEERA- Began awkwardly and was slow into stride before bumping with another runner. Bumped with another runner on entering the home straight and shifted out and away from another runner soon after.



ALCASO- Bumped on jumping. Raced wide for the majority.



MEGLIO- Bumped on jumping before becoming awkwardly placed on heels soon after.



BIG TALK- Bumped on jumping. Inclined to lay in under pressure down the running. Raced wide for the majority.



REBEL REBELLION- Began awkwardly. Inclined to lay out for the majority and hung out rounding the home turn taking another runner wider. Trainer M Johnstone was advised a warning would be placed on the geldings racing manners.



WIDE LOAD- Improved onto heels on entering the home straight shifting out and bumping with another runner. Shifted out and away from another runner soon after.



VERY SOON- Raced wide for the majority.



FOX ON THE ROCKS- Jockey M Murphy was fined the sum of $300 under the provisions of AR132(7)(a)(ii) in that he did use his whip on 6 occasions, 1 more than permitted, prior to the 100m.





Race 7: CHINCHILLA RSL BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1400m



Declaration of correct weight was delayed to allow Jockey N Fazackerley, rider of 2nd placed getter SPLASHING ROSSA, to view the patrol footage to ascertain whether ground for an objection existed against 1st place getter NOT LIABLE (S McGovern). After viewing the official patrol footage Jockey Fazckerley elected not to proceed with any objection and correct weight was declared on the Judges semaphored numbers.



QUEEN LEAR- Was declared a late scratching on veterinary advice at 3:32pm after sustaining an injury to it near side hock on route to the course. Trainer B Gorman was advised the mare will require a veterinary certificate of fitness prior to again being permitted to start in a race.



NOT LIABLE- Slow into stride. Inclined to race keenly in the middle stages. Inclined to lay out under pressure down the running brushing with another runner over the concluding stages. Jockey S McGovern was reprimanded under the provisions of AR132(7)(a)(i) in that he did use his whip in consecutive strides on one occasion prior to the 100m.



CLASSIC WIND- Dwelt in the barrier before being slow into stride.



MY GIRL SPIRIT- Began awkwardly. Became momentarily awkwardly placed on heels passing the 100m.



LUCITOR- Finished tailed off. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. App S Stephan stated that, in her opinion, the gelding resented todays firmer racing surface. Trainer K Kirwin concurred with App Stephans assessment. Nonetheless, Trainer Kirwin was advised that a warning would be placed on the geldings competitiveness.
