Prior to the declaration of correct weight, Stewards considered an objection lodged by the rider Jky N Evans of the second placed horse STAR OF THE ELMS, against SINNAMON TOAST being declared the winner alleging interference in the home straight. After taking evidence from all relevant parties and viewing the patrol footage available, Stewards found that whilst SINNAMON TOAST shifted inward in the home straight approaching the 200m point inconveniencing STAR OF THE ELMS to his inside resulting in the rider Jky N Evans having to check and losing ground. They did not feel the interference suffered to STAR OF THE ELMS exceeded the half a length margin between the runners at the conclusion of the event and therefore, dismissed the objection and declared correct weight on the Judges numbers as semaphored. Stewards will inquire into the incident as soon as practical when Jky T Banks is physically fit to provide evidence at an inquiry.
