Race 1:HURL-EM OUT QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1200m
 
CRAIGLEA OREO – Bumped shortly after the start.
 
NEWELL BEACH – Began awkwardly and was slow to begin. Raced wide throughout. Rider C Taylor reported the gelding raced flat throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed increased noise in the right ventral lung. Trainer J Hearne was advised a veterinary clearance including results of a scope would be required prior to racing again.
 
AMORE SIRENA – Raced wide throughout.
 
ADY ZAYDI – Apprentice L O’Donnell was given permission to claim 1kg of her 1.5kg allowance for acceptable reasons. Bumped on jumping. Laid out under pressure from the 200m.
 
LEUCAENA – Began awkwardly.
 
FENDBAR – Bumped on jumping. Raced wide throughout. Passing the 100m restrained off the heels of LADY ZAYDI (Apprentice L O’Donnell) which shifted out under pressure. Apprentice O’Donnell was reprimanded for this incident.
 
GRAHENISE – Bumped on jumping.
 
TINJACK - After being loaded into the barriers became momentarily cast and underwent a veterinary inspection and was cleared to start. Trainer G Richardson was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding for its barrier manners.
 
Race 2: ENZED BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1070m
 
MERCHANT MOON – Checked between runners shortly after the start when QUARTER RED and GREEN PARK both shifted ground on jumping.
 
QUARTER RED – Began awkwardly.
 
MY TURN ASTERN – Raced wide throughout.
 
GREEN PARK – Began awkwardly. Laid out rounding the home turn. Approaching the 100m was obliged to shift in to obtain clear room when MISS MOSCASTO ridden by H Richardson shifted out. Richardson was advised to show greater care when shifting ground.
 
TETCHY – Held up for clear running from the 100m to 50m. Rider N Fazackerley was reminded of his obligations pursuant to AR 131(b) to ride his mounts out fully to the end of the race.
 
 
Race 3: RIE BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1070m
 
STENSON WALLMAN – Began awkwardly and bumped MASTER MIYAGI. Raced wide throughout.
 
ROCONONO – Began awkwardly and bumped soon after. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
HOKUSAI – A post-race veterinary examination revealed a minor laceration to the mare’s tongue.
 
FREAKSHAKE – Raced wide throughout.  
 
MASTER MIYAGI – Buffeted between runners shortly after the start and lost ground. Over-raced early and middle stages. Raced wide throughout.
 
Race 4: WDC OPEN HANDICAP 1200m
 
MOSCINI - Trainer D Groves was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding for being difficult to load.
 
VILLADEN (NZ) – Passing the 800m, momentarily eased and shifted wider to obtain clear racing. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
LIP SIP SUK – Crowded between runners shortly after the start and lost ground. A Spinks, the rider of LIP SIP SUK pleaded guilty to a charge under the provisions of AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using his whip on 11 occasions prior to the 100m. A Spink’s license to ride in races was suspended for a period of 9 days to commence midnight 1st June 2025 and to expire midnight 10th June 2025.
 
Race 5: L&H BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1400m
 
BASIL'S BOW – Raced wide throughout.
 
MERLOMANN – Bumped on jumping, becoming momentarily unbalanced and lost ground. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
PRESS YES – Slow into stride. Raced wide throughout.
 
THE STONE MASON – Began awkwardly and was slow into stride.
 
ARTIE'S DYNAMITE – began awkwardly and bumped.
 
STORMTROOPER – Raced wide throughout. Passing the 300m was eased and shifted wider when BASILS BOW (Apprentice L O’Donnell) shifted out. L O’Donnell was reprimanded for this incident.  
 
SNAKESKIN – Bumped on jumping.
