SOME SUNNYDAY – Jockey M Barnham was permitted to ride the gelding 1 kilogram overweight as there was no other rider available. Raced wide throughout.

KATANDRA – Ran about from near the 300 metres until near the 100 metres under hard riding.

IF BY CHANCE – Began awkwardly and shifted out. App. A Thompson stated that gelding did not handle todays track conditions and kick back and would be more suited to a further distance.
 
ENEMY OF MAN – Slow to begin. Further hampered when BOLD SAM shifted out on jumping.
 
BOLD SAM – Began awkwardly and shifted out making heavy contact with ENEMY OF MAN.
