SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
Longreach 16/06/2025.
Stewards received a delayed report of an examination conducted by the oncourse race day Veterinarian due to the Vet being required to leave the Longreach Racecourse on 16/6/25 before passing the resultof the examination onto the Stewards present at the race meeting. The post-race Vet examination was requested in the tie ups area by the handler of GETTIN’ LIPPY when she noticed signs of blood in one nostril after the mare had competed in Race 4 and cooled down at Longreach. The post-race Vet examination of GETTIN’ LIPPY identified the presence of blood in one nostril. In the professional opinion of the oncourse Veterinarian who conducted the examination, the presence of the blood was attributable to a blood clot caused by external trauma. Acting on the Veterinary advise received, Stewards are satisfied that pursuant to AR79(8) the presence of blood was attributable toexternal trauma. Stewards advised Trainer K Sinclair that GETTIN’ LIPPY would require a Vet examination at the completion of the mares next race or trial. Mr Sinclair advised Stewards that it is his intension to consider the retirement of GETTIN’ LIPPY from racing.
