GENERAL
Due to the hot weather conditions and storms that were forecast for the Clermont race day, the start time for the programme was set at 12.30am with each race following to be started at 40-minute intervals. The race meeting was conducted in accordance with the QRIC caring for racing animals in extreme heat policy with pre-race parade times significantly reduced and the establishment of on-course cooling stations in the race-day tie-ups, parade areas and a number of other relevant measures.
Race 1: GLENCORE CLERMONT OPEN CUT QTIS CLASS 2 HANDICAP 1200 Metres
NEW LEVEL (NZ) – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Shifted out on jumping and forced I'M STELLAR wider. Raced wide throughout the event.
TIPSY TIGER – Began awkwardly. Raced wide for the majority of the event. Inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight.
BOURBON LANE – Laid in under pressure when weakening over the concluding stages.
SPIN DOCTOR – Blundered on jumping. Underwent a pre-race Veterinary examination on arrival to the barriers after making contact with the mounting yard gate when being led onto the track and was passed suitable to start.
RISKY INVESTMENT – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
I'M STELLAR – Forced wider shortly after jumping. Laid out under pressure passing the 180m.
Race 2: CLERMONT LIVESTOCK TRANSPORT COUNTRY STAMPEDE QUALIFIER OPEN HANDICAP 1000 Metres
WRITTLE – Jumped in the air on jumping and as a result was slow to begin. Raced wide throughout the event.
LILY ALLEZ (NZ) – Weakened over the final 100m of the event.
MR METRICS – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
FINE SHOT – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the event. Shifted wider passing the 200m to obtain clear running. Laid in under pressure for the remainder of the straight.
JUST SUPER – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn until entering the home straight and passing the 300m.
DRAGON'S SNIP – Shifted in on jumping. Raced wide throughout the event. Laid out under pressure in the home straight.
GET WHAT YOU GIVE – Slow to begin.
Race 3: VERAX HIRE BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1000 Metres
Correct weight was delayed allowing Apprentice Jockey N Olzard, the rider of second placed SILENT ANGEL to view the photo finish. When Apprentice Jockey Olzard and Stewards were similarly satisfied, correct weight was declared on the judges’ semaphored numbers.
QUARRY MAN (NZ) – Raced wide throughout the event. Inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight. Jockey W Satherley reported that QUARRY MAN (NZ) was resuming from a spell and was caught wide in running and in his opinion the gelding will benefit from the fitness gained in the run.
PLAY IT AS IT LAYS – Shifted out under pressure passing the 100m.
SWEET FANTASY – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
GOTTA HERO – Began awkwardly and was slow into stride. Raced wide throughout the event. Lost the offside hind shoe in running.
SUPER SLICK – Raced wide throughout the event. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
Race 4: CLERMONT CONCRETE MAIDEN PLATE 2-Y-O & Up 1000 Metres
EXSIDEE – Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages of the event.
LORD VALEN – Underwent a pre-race Veterinary examination after competing at the Mount Isa race meeting, Monday 10th November 2025 and was passed suitable to start. Slow to begin. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
PRINCE OF DANCE – Bumped on jumping and was slow into stride. Raced wide throughout the event.
RISING RUBY – Began awkwardly and shifted out on jumping and bumped PRINCE OF DANCE.
Race 5: MADDEN INVESTMENTS JAN HENDERSON MEMORIAL BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1400 Metres
READY TO PARDON – Shifted out on jumping and brushed BOYFRIEND MATERIAL.
BOYFRIEND MATERIAL – Brushed on jumping by READY TO PARDON which shifted out on jumping.
CHAPARRAL CHASE – Laid out under pressure in the straight.
BITTERSWEET PLUCK – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Raced wide throughout the event.
OUTBACK STEP – Over raced in the early and middle stages of the event. Shifted in passing the 200m to obtain clear running.
