GENERAL
Trainer R. Nelson was fined the sum of $200 under the provisions of LR 36(6).
Race 1: CLONCURRY & DISTRICT RACE CLUB BENCHMARK 45 HANDICAP 1000m
MISS ESTER – Trainer R. Nelson was reprimanded under the provisions of LR30 for failure to have the mare on the course by the prescribed time. Fractious in the barriers. Jumped awkwardly bumping with another runner. Raced wide most of the way.
KOBY’S STRATEGY- Bumped by another runner on jumping.
TICKET KEEPER – Over-raced in the early stages.
BUCCHUR – Shifted out on jumping and inconvenienced another runner.
.AMMATE (NZ) - Inconvenienced by another runner on jumping and raced wide most of the way.
SCARPA - Raced wide in the early stages.
FANDRAL – Raced wide rounding the home turn.
FLOWER – Finished tailed off. Jockey N Yadi advised mare did not handle the track conditions.
Race 2: BULL CREEK BEEF QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1200m
EL RANCHOS (NZ)- Declared a late scratching 12.50pm on veterinary advice. Trainer T Parry was advised a veterinary certificate of fitness would be required prior to the gelding again being permitted to start in a race.
ARIZONA SUN – Was declared a late scratching at 1:50pm after refusing to be loaded into the barriers. Prior to the declaration of correct weight Stewards ordered that all money invested on the gelding were to be refunded and the following deductions to all successful bets prior to 1:50pm to be subject to the following deductions:
19 cents in the dollar for the win
20 cents in the dollar for the place
Trainer R. Hermann was advised that ARIZONA SUN must successfully complete three barrier trials under simulated race day conditions prior to starting again.
DOLLADREAM – Bumped by another runner on jumping and raced wide in the early stages.
SMITHY’S HAMMER - Bumped by another runner on jumping and raced wide in the early stages.
NEW YORK POST – Slow into stride and raced wide all the way.
LOVE’S BEST HOPE – Raced wide in the early stages.
Race 3: CLONCURRY & DISTRICT RACE CLUB CLASS 3 PLATE 1200m
CRYSTAL HELMET – Was declared a late scratching at 9.45am on veterinary advice after found to be lame in the near front. Trainer R. Burrows was advised a veterinary clearance would be required prior to the gelding again being permitted to start in a race.
ARCING HARD – Jumped outwards inconveniencing runner to the outside.
COME ALIVE – Slow to begin and bumped by a runner to the inside. Stewards questioned Trainer T. Parry regarding the apparent improved performance of the mare today. Trainer Parry advised that, in her opinion, the mare had improved in her work in the preceding week and the drop in weight, coupled with the addition of the tongue tie for today’s event were contributing factors for the improved performance. Trainer Parry advised further that the Stable had not supported the mare in todays event. Stewards noted this explanation.
RAIN ON ME – Began very awkwardly and then raced wide for the majority.
BANKSY STRIKJES – Raced wide for the majority.
FA FA – Raced wide for the majority.
RERUN - Raced wide rounding the home turn.
Race 4: BELL RURAL CONTRACTING 2021 BATTLE OF THE BUSH CLONCURRY QUALIFIER OPEN HANDICAP 1200m
MISSED OUT - Jumped outwards from the outside barrier and then travelled wider outwards on the track and then travelled wide for the majority.
WICKED WIKI - Bumped with another runner on jumping.
Mr TINDALL - Bumped with another runner on jumping. Raced wide rounding the home turn.
KAPSET – Became momentarily unbalanced on jumping.
BENCHI PEGASUS - Unable to go the early pace and tailed off in early and middle stages.
Race 5: NIVERAK CLASS 6 PLATE 1400m
GENG – Shifted out on jumping bumping with another runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off-fore. Trainer K. Krogh was advised a Veterinary clearance would be required prior to the gelding again being permitted to start in a race.
ALMIGHTY GOLD – Blundered at start after being bumped by another runner. Also bumped with another runner over the concluding stages.
BLAINE – Began awkwardly and raced wide for the majority. Jockey J Felix reported the gelding did not appreciate the kickback in running.
GENERAL ARTIE – Slow to bigin. Raced wide for the majority.
DRAGON IN THE NORTH - Raced wide for the majority.
DARK ARCHER - Bumped with another runner over the concluding stages.
Race 6: NWQ PAINTING BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1600m
DO I HAVE TO – Bumped with another runner soon after umping. Raced wide rounding the home turn.
MYOLA MILLY – Bumped with another runner soon after jumping. Raced wide the majority.
CLARION – Blundered on jumping and travelled wide most of the way.
IMMUTABLE – Raced wide most of the way.
MISS SIZZ - Raced wide most of the way.
