GENERAL
Rider J. Baker reported to stewards due to personal circumstances he had been unable to perform his normal race day weight reduction procedures and would be overweight for his following mounts. Stewards accepted his explanation. And as no other rider was available he was permitted to ride the following mounts. But reminded him of his obligations when accepting rides and was severely reprimanded under AR190(3).
RACE 1 – ANGAMA + 2.5KG
Race 2 – FUDGINIT + 1.5kg
Race 3 – MADONNA FALLS +1.5kg
Race 4 – WE’LL BEAT IT +1.5kg
 
Race 1: CLONCURRY & DISTRICT RACE CLUB Maiden Plate (1000m)
MORE THAN VENICE – Raced wide rounding the home turn.
TURF EDITION – Raced wide majority.
ANGAMA – Began awkwardly shifted out on jumping raced wide early stages. Rider J Baker reported his left foot made contact with the starting gates on jumping, but he did not require any medical treatment. Trainer Ms T. Parry was advised a warning would be placed on the mare’s racing manners.
 
Race 2: CLONCURRY &DISTRICT RACE CLUB QTIS Class 3 Plate (1000m)
FUDGINIT – Shifted out at the start bumping another runner.
LIZ’ DELIGHT –Bumped with another runner on jumping.
BELLEOFTHEHUNTER – Approaching the 800m had to be eased off the heels of another runner when began to over race. Raced wide for the remainder.
NOT ANOTHER REIBY – As no other rider was available Stewards permitted jockey D. Ballard to ride the gelding 1kg over its allocated weight.
 
Race 3: CLONCURRY & DISTRICT RACE CLUB Class B Handicap (1200m)
MADONNA FALLS – Raced wide majority.
ALPHA BLUE – Slow into stride. Raced wide middle stages and rounding the home turn.
GOTCHA BOY – Raced wide early stages.
 
Race 4: CLONCURRY & DISTRICT RACE CLUB OPEN Handicap (1200m)
HIGH I CUE – Trainer T Snelling was granted permission to race without the tongue tie and nasal strip on the gelding which was having its first race start for his stable this was broad cast over the pa system prior to the race start.
WE’LL BEAT IT – Raced wide rounding home turn.
LOUIE THE LEGEND – Raced wide early and middle stages.
 
Race 5: CLONCURRY & DISTRICT RACE CLUB BENCHMARK 55 Handicap (1400m)
DESTINATION SYDNEY – Shifted out at the start bumping another runner. Raced wide majority. On returning to the mounting yard rider J. Babarovich reported the gelding did not feel comfortable in running. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
DANAWI – Crowed at the start.
ZOOMARATTA – Began awkwardly.
ONTHETAKE – Raced wide early and middle stages.
