Bute Moves – Rider S McGovern and Apprentice Ms B Harrison (Wolf Point) were questioned as to the reason Bute Moves obtained a run on the home turn between the leader Toronado Rogue and Wolf Point which shifted ground from outside the leader to a three wide position when cornering. Evidence was taken from Jockey B Stower (Polly Hoffa) who was racing behind this incident and wide. Ms Stower believed that Apprentice Ms B Harrison (Wolf Point) was obligated to ease wider on the point of the home turn as Jockey S McGovern (Bute Moves) had forced a run between Toronado Rogue and Wolf Point where insufficient room existed. Jockey S McGovern (Bute Moves) denied this scenario and stated that Apprentice Ms B Harrison (Wolf Point) had allowed her mount to drifted out momentarily and he had taken advantage of the run rather than easing four wide around her horse’s heels. Given patrol footage of the incident at that point was inconclusive, Jockey S McGovern (Bute Moves) was given the benefit of the doubt as to whether he had forced a runbetween the leader Toronado Rogue and Wolf Point where insufficient room existed.

Magic Game - Slow into stride and had difficulty maintaining touch with the field in the early and middle stages.
