GENERAL
 
1.    Stewards approved the following overweights:
Race 4. Robert Faehr (YALLA) +2.5kg
2.    The following runners were declared late scratchings at 12:00 pm due to no rider being available or no suitable rider being available at the allocated weight.
Race 2. No 3. GROOVE JET, No 8. MAKEMINEMILO, No 10. SANDY GRIP, No 11. FAR REACHING, No 13. SNIPILLICIOUS
Race 4. No 6. LONE ARTIST
Race 5. No 6. MAKANUI, No 10. LUCY LULU
Race 6. No 10. OUTCAST SOLDIER
3.    Prior to the commencement of the meeting, Trainer Tanya Parry advised Stewards that transport difficulties had been encountered while travelling to the racecourse. As a result, IT'S A POWER, which was engaged in Race 1, was unable to arrive on course with sufficient time for the amended starting time and was consequently declared a late scratching by order of the Stewards at 12:52pm. To allow the remaining runners trained by Tanya Parry that were engaged in later races to arrive on course in sufficient time, Stewards amended the starting times for all races to the following:
Race 1: 1:45pm
Race 2: 2:20pm
Race 3: 2:50pm
Race 4: 3:30pm
Race 5: 4:00pm
Race 6: 4:35pm
 
 
Race 1: MCQUEEN EARTHMOVING Maiden Plate 1000M
 
FIELD OF HEARTS – Laid in under pressure throughout the final straight.
 
WEIRD GOODBYES – Began awkwardly
 
WORTHY WAY – Commenced to race greenly shortly after the start, losing ground. Gave ground leaving the 500 metres finishing distanced from the field. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
 
I’LLTELLYOUAFTER – Slow to begin. 
 
IT’S A POWER – IT’S A POWER was declared a late scratching by order of the Stewards at 12:52pm due to transportation difficulties resulting in the mare being unable to arrive on course in sufficient time for the amended starting time.
 
 
RACE 2: TROPIC PETROLEUM QTIS BENCHMARK 50 Handicap 1000M

DANCE WIZZARD – Hung in shortly after the start despite the efforts of its rider. Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
NOBLE INTENT – Slow to begin. Raced wide with cover in the middle stages.
 
WHISKEY RIVER – Shifted in on jumping hampering ALL TOO VEGAS, which in turn was taken in onto MAJOR DESIRE, which was bumped. Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
ALL TOO VEGAS – Taken in on jumping after being hampered by WHISKEY RIVER which shifted in.
 
MAJOR DESIRE – Bumped on jumping.
 
WITHOUT – Laid in rounding the first turn. Inclined to lay in through the early part of the home straight.
 
 
RACE 3: CORELLA CATTLE COMPANY BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1000M
 
YUKAN ROSE – Raced wide without cover throughout. Inconvenienced shortly after entering the home straight when DEFERENTIAL shifted in.
 
HOLLERLOUD – Shifted out shortly after the start bumping with TRAPEZE PLEASURE.
 
ALLEZIZZY – Commenced to hang out approaching the 800 metres and as a result, had to be steadied away from the heels of HOLLERLOUD, losing ground. Raced ungenerously in the middle stages.
 
DEFERENTIAL – Shortly after straightening, shifted in when struck with the whip inconveniencing YUKAN ROSE. Rider Chris Bryen was reminded of his obligations to exercise greater care when shifting ground in similar circumstances.
 
TRAPEZE PLEASURE – Bumped on jumping. Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
MADAM BORODINA – Laid in under pressure nearing the 250 metres, resulting in rider Brooke Stower having to stop riding and straighten her mount.
 
 
RACE 4: BRODIE AGENCIES CORFIELD CUP OPEN Handicap 1400M
 
HURRICANE THUNDER – Slow into stride. Resented the kickback in the early stages. Raced wide without cover in the middle stages.
 
HERE HE LOOMS – Slow to begin. Over-raced in the early stages.
 
ZOUHOPE – Slow into stride. Raced wide throughout.
 
 
RACE 5: NUTRIEN AG SOLUTIONS BRACELET BENCHMARK 50 Handicap 1400M
 
SHEZ LETHAL – Began awkwardly. Disappointed for a run shortly after entering the home straight, before shifting to the inside of THE TYLER passing the 300 metres to continue to improve. Rider Chris Bryen reported at scale that SHEZ LETHAL raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
 
GONCALO – Raced wide without cover throughout. Gave ground passing the 400 metres, finishing distanced from the field. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
 
SWEETPEA MOOCHI – Hampered on jumping.
 
BLOOMIN’ GOLD – Shifted in on jumping, hampering SWEETPEA MOOCHI. Resented the kickback in the back straight. Raced wide throughout.
 
TOP ACT – Shifted out on jumping, hampering SWEETPEA MOOCHI. Raced wide throughout.
 
Stewards reviewed the use of the whip by Rider David Sparks (SWEETPEA MOOCHI) in the home straight after it appeared he had may have applied his whip excessively prior to the 100 metres. Upon further review of the available replays, the film footage was inconclusive, and Stewards could not be comfortably satisfied that the whip had been used excessively and as a result no further action was taken. Nevertheless, rider David Sparks was reminded of his obligations regarding the use of the whip prior to the 100 metres.
 
 
RACE 6: COFFISON & SONS BULK FUEL CLASS B Handicap 800M
 
BUZ FUZ – Began very awkwardly. Raced ungenerously in the early stages. Raced greenly over the concluding stages.
 
CLIODHNA MEAVE (NZ) – Began very awkwardly, unbalancing rider Robert Faehr for several strides, losing ground.
 
PITLECO LASS – Slow to begin. Ran wide making the home turn.

LEUCAENA – Bounded on jumping, losing ground.
 
WHOLELOTTALOVE – Blundered on its own accord leaving the 500 metres.
