Race 1: Look Sharp Painting & Decorating Class 4 H’cap - (950m)  
 
WANTABETHEONE – Put its head down when the gates opened, losing considerable ground. Trainer R. Finch was advised that the gelding would be required obtain a one further barrier certificate prior to being permitted to race again.  
 
I WANNA BREAK FREE – Bumped with another runner at the 800m. Brushed by another runner near the 200m. A post- race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed mild lameness to the off fore leg. Trainer A. Molino was advised a veterinary clearance must be provided prior to the geldings next race start.   
 
CHAT TIME – Bumped by another runner near the 800m.
 
OURBOYBYRON – Laid out rounding the home turn. Shifted out under pressure near the 200m, brushing with another runner.
 
OUR LITTLE MIRACLE – A post- race veterinary examination of the mare revealed superficial lacerations to it near hind leg. 
 
 
 
 
Race 2 - Cairns Pitstop Ratings Band 0-55 H’cap – 950m
 
MUSTANG JACK – Fractious in the barriers. Slowly away. A post- race veterinary examination of the gelding, which finished tailed off failed to reveal any abnormalities. Trainer S. Cooper advised stewards that in his opinion the gelding is much better suited when able to lead in its races.
 
CORAL SEAS – Slowly away.

VOLTAIC – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
PRINCESS SIDEREUS – Raced wide for the majority of the race. Was inclined to over-race for a short distance near the 600m. Hung out rounding the home turn.
 
MY GIRL’S A DRAGON – Inclined to lay out when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
Race 3 - Don’t-txt-n-drive Foundation QTIS 3yo Benchmark 60 H’cap – 950m
 
LONGING FOR – Fractious in the barriers. Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
FANCY POLO – Slowly away.
 
OUR ATOM – Inclined to race greenly in the home straight.
 
Race 4 - Master Builders Queensland Open H’cap – 950m
 
TYZONE – Fractious in the barriers. Slow to begin after beginning awkwardly. Inclined to hang in leaving he 200m until approaching the 100m.
 
ROYAL PHYSICIAN – Fractious in the barriers. Raced wide for the majority of the race and had a tendency to lay in soon after straightening.
 
TESTATIME – Slow to begin.  
 
SUCKER – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Race 5 - Top Tax Online Maiden Plate – 1250m
 
DAY OF THE FOX – Raced wide for the majority of the race. Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
RANGERZANE – Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
 
ELECTRIC SHOCK – Jockey J. Stanley was dislodged behind the barriers prior to the start. Jockey Stanley declared himself fit to fulfil his engagement. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
SPREAD THE NEWS – When questioned regarding the seemingly disappointing performance, jockey B. Thomson advised that her mount was never comfortable in the going and failed to handle today’s prevailing track conditions and was inclined to shift ground in running. Raced ungenerously near the 500m.
 
EXIT LOUNGE – Checked near the 500m. Stewards have adjourned an inquiry into the reason the filly was checked. Stewards also adjourned an inquiry to a date and time to be fixed into the conduct of apprentice A. Thomsom on returning to scale.
 
Race 6 - Red Energy Promotions Class 3 H’cap – 1250m
 
IN BARBADOS – Refused to load into the barriers and was declared a late scratching at 4.12 pm. Trainer A. Malliff will be advised a further barrier certificate will be required prior to the horse being permitted to race again.  
 
JERRAZZ – Declared a late scratching on veterinary advice at 4.12 pm when found to be lame in the near fore leg. Trainer S. Molino was advised a veterinary clearance must be provided prior to the mare being permitted to race again.
 
Subsequent to the event and prior to correct weight, all monies invested on IN BARBADOS and JERRAZZ were ordered to be refunded with the following deductions applicable.
 
12 cents in the dollar on the face value of win bets
22 cents in the dollar on the face value of win bets for the place
12 cents in the dollar on the face value of 2nd place bets
23 cents in the dollar on the face value of 3rd place bets
 
I’M NOT SURE – Was slowly away after beginning awkwardly and bumped with another runner. Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
 
BOOK A FLIGHT – Bumped by another runner at the start.
 
FLINCH – Slow to begin.  
 
MONSOON TWISTER – Slow into stride. Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
THE BEE’S KNEES – Made the 900m turn awkwardly.
 
 
Race 7 -  CCW Cabinet Works Benchmark 60 H’cap – 1500m
 
OUR SINGLE DOUBT – Slow to begin. Raced ungenerously rounding the 900m turn. Made the 800m crossing awkwardly.
 
REGAL ROTH – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
LIL’ RED MONKEY – Hung in rounding the 900m turn. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
ASSERTIVE LOVE – Faltered near the 500m, falling and dislodging jokey G. Kliese. Jockey Kleise was attended to by the ambulance officers on course before being transported to Cairns Hospital for further treatment.
