Race 1: PICCONE'S IGA QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 950M

AGLOT – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority.

BRADBURY'S EXPRESS – Slow to begin.

RATALOUIE – Began awkwardly and was bumped soon after the start. Raced wide for the majority.

WICKED DREAMER – Shifted out on jumping, bumped with RATALOUIE and became unbalanced. Raced wide for the majority.

POLARMORE PRINCESS – After being slow to begin was then bumped by TALANTINO which shifted out.

TALANTINO – Shifted out on jumping, bumping with POLARMORE PRINCESS.

MAZZARATTI – Laid out under pressure in the home straight. Rider N. Day dropped his whip leaving the 50 metres.

COUNTER COMMAND – Raced wide for the majority.

Race 2: GREAT NORTHERN BREWING CO. MAIDEN HANDICAP 1400M

IMPERIUM – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority.

MISS TITTLE TAT – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority.

CODY'S BOY – Over-raced in the early stages.

DELANCY – Tended to over-race in the middle stages.

NOT A FAT BOY – Raced wide for the majority.

CROAGH PATRICK – Raced wide for the majority.

DUYFKEN – Jockey J. Stanley advised on returning to scale that in his opinion the gelding was not comfortable on today’s track conditions.

MUMBO BOWLER – A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be sore in the off hind leg. Trainers T & P Rowe were advised a veterinary clearance of soundness must be provided prior to it racing or trialling again.

Race 3: CORAL COAST CATERING BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 1250M

ROTH'N'BELL – Slow into stride.

WHEY MISCHIEF – Raced fiercely in the early stages and continued to over-race in the middle stages.

HARVESTA – Over-raced in the early stages.

INNER SPIRIT – Momentarily placed in restricted room near the 400 metres. Raced wide for the majority of the race.

CALDANTE – Bumped near the 400 metres by INNER SPIRIT which was racing in restricted room.

PRIVATE SECTOR – Shifted out near the 400 metres to obtain clear running momentarily placing INNER SPIRIT in restricted room. Jockey S. Sheargold was advised to show greater care when shifting ground.

MASTER ORR – Raced wide for the majority.

Race 4: LADBROKES BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 1250M

NOTHIN' BUT LOOKS – Began awkwardly and lost ground.

DIVINE WIT – Crowded for room soon after the start. Over-raced in the early stages.

DEMON AWARD – Shifted in and away from BAKERFIELD which shifted in slightly near the 50 metres.

STRATHCONA – Raced wide for the majority.

Race 5: GARY RICHES BUILDERS BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 1500M

CETSHWAYO – Slow into stride and shifted in bumping with COURTING SARA which shifted out.

COURTING SARA – Shifted out at the start bumping with CETSHWAYO which shifted in. Raced wide for the majority.

PLUCKERCARN – Slow into stride.

MODERN LEGEND – Momentarily steadied leaving the 100 metres when crowded for room.

SIDE HUSTLE – Raced wide for the majority.

VICTORY FOR US – Raced wide for the majority.

Race 6: MAGIC MILLIONS DAINTREE GUINEAS QTIS 4YO HANDICAP 1500M

GULF OF LION – Began awkwardly. Over-raced in the early and middle stages.

FROM THIS MOMENT – Shifted out at the start bumping with COCOBREW EXPRESS which shifted in.

COCOBREW EXPRESS – Bumped heavily on jumping and became unbalanced, shifted in bumping with FROM THIS MOMENT which shifted out. Difficulties obtaining clear running from the 300 metres until approaching the 100 metres.

DRAGON SONG – Shifted in at the start bumping heavily with COCOBREW EXPRESS.

PREMIUM STAR – Raced ungenerously for a short distance leaving the 800 metres.

FOUR MILE LANE – Raced wide for the majority.

BABY GUINNESS – Raced wide for the majority.

BRAVE INTENT – Raced wide for the majority.

ADAMINABY – Finished tailed off. Trainer R. Miller was at a loss to explain the performance and advised the gelding would now be sent for an immediate spell. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed no abnormalities.

FODOR – A post-race veterinary examination of FODOR identified the presence of blood in both nostrils. FODOR shall not without the permission of the Stewards: (a) be trained, exercised or galloped on any racecourse for a period of two months; (b) start in any race for a period of three months, and then only after a satisfactory gallop of at least 1,000 metres in the presence of a Steward. AR79(4)

Race 7: FGF BITUMEN CLASS 4 HANDICAP 950M

ZI WIN – Bounded in the air on jumping and shifted in bumping POMADE and as a result lost ground.

POMADE – Bumped on jumping.

ARTIE'S LAD – Raced keenly in the early stages.

SAVVY SOVEREIGN (NZ) – Raced wide for the majority.

TYCOON BEAU – Raced wide for the majority.

BIG FLASH – Raced wide for the majority.

Race 8: BABINDA ELECTRICS LIGHTNING OPEN HANDICAP 950M

HIGHER REALM – As the gelding had not raced for an extended period it underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Slow into stride. Compounded over the concluding stages and jockey L. Morrison dismounted soon after the winning post. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a respiratory disorder. Connections advised it is now the intention that HIGHER REALM be retired from racing. Connections were advised that should should circumstances change it will be required to provide a Veterinary Clearance with satisfactory results of an endoscopic examination prior to the horse racing or trialing again.

STARFILLY – Slow into stride.

DESERT COWBOY – Raced wide for the majority.

Race 9: RED BERET HOTEL CAIRNS CUP 2100M

FLASH AAH – Slow to begin.

OLYMPIC KORCHNOI (BRZ) – Slow to begin.

SIREN ROCK – Raced wide in the early stages.

OLYMPIC CLASS – Raced wide in the early stages.

ARMOUR FORCE – Raced wide in the early stages. Over-raced in the early stages throwing its head in the air. Restrained off heels near the 900 metres.

PORTNOY – Over-raced in the early stages.

NIGHT OF POWER (IRE) – Over-raced in the middle stages. Shifted out to obtain clear running near the 450 metres forcing SAYL wider.

SAYL (GB) – Forced wider rounding the home turn by NIGHT OF POWER which shifted out to obtain clear running.

MOTAMAYIZ (GB) – Raced wide for the majority.

AMERICAN SAINT – Compounded over the concluding stages. Jockey J. Stanley was of the opinion the gelding was not entirely comfortable on today’s track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

Race 10: CSF INDUSTRIES CLASS 6 PLATE – 1250 METRES

FINALLY REALISE – Stood flatfooted and lost considerable ground. Trainer W. Kenning was advised the gelding must obtain a further barrier certificate prior to being permitted to race again.

STATS – Slow to begin.

INVINCIBLE JET – Shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages momentarily inconveniencing HURTLE. Apprentice I. Teh was advised to stop riding and straighten her mount in similar circumstances.

HURTLE - Momentarily inconvenienced by INVINCIBLE JET which shifted out over the concluding stages.

INDICTMENT – Raced wide for the majority.

NANTUCKET – Raced wide for the majority.

ALL TIME LEGEND – Performed below market expectations. Jockey N. Callow reported the gelding travelled fairly in the early and middle stages however failed to respond to his riding and was disappointing. Trainer S. Massingham was unable to provide any tangible explanation and will advise stewards should anything come to his attention that may have had a bearing on today’s performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
