As jockey Ms. A. Thomson was not riding at today’s meeting due to personal reasons she was replaced as per steward’s summary. 
 
RACE 1:TRIPLE M CAIRNS MAIDEN HANDICAP (QTIS BONUSES APPLICABLE 2&3YO'S ONLY) – 1400 Metres

KAMMERZELL HOUSE – Began awkwardly and shifted in bumping with IMPALER and again shortly after the start. Over-raced in the early stages.   

IMPALER – Shifted out at the start bumping with KAMMERZELL HOUSE and again shortly after the start. Over-raced in the early stages.      
 
STELLAR LEGEND - Raced ungenerously in the early stages and shifted in crowding KAMMERZELL HOUSE near the 1200 metres. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.   

RACE 2:ALL CONSTRUCTION APPROVALS QTIS TWO-YEAR-OLD HANDICAP – 950 Metres

STABLE INVESTMENT – Slow to begin and then hampered by CHICA PODEROSA which shifted in. Raced keenly in the middle stages.
 
NICCO NOTA FIGHTER – Began awkwardly and shifted inwards and became unbalanced when being corrected. Raced greenly for the majority of the race and shifted out near the 600 metres hampering RED LIGHT POWER.            
 
RED LIGHT POWER – Began awkwardly and raced greenly for the majority of the race. Hampered near the 600 metres and shifted wider. 
 
CHICA PODEROSA – Began awkwardly and shifted in hampering STABLE INVESTMENT. The saddle shifted to the nearside leaving the 600 metres placing jockey K. Swaffer at a distinct disadvantage for the remainder of the race.      
 
RACE 3:DAWSON'S GROUP OF COMPANIES MAIDEN PLATE (QTIS BONUSES APPLICABLE 2&3YO'S ONLY) – 950 Metres

The start of this race was delayed due to a sky channel vehicle becoming bogged in a position that may have hindered the ambulances passage.
 
MONTY ROAD – Raced greenly in the middle stages and shifted in abruptly near the 750 metres.            
 
MIDDLE CHILD – Fractious in the barriers and slow to begin. Raced keenly in the middle stages.            
RACE 4:CASHCOR ENGINEERING QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD MAIDEN HANDICAP – 950 Metres

PERFECT FAWAZ – Slow to begin.
 
BOOM BUNNY – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Began awkwardly. Made the 750 metre crossing awkwardly. Jockey S. Cormack explained on returning to scale that after making the 750 metre crossing awkwardly it never travelled comfortably for the remainder of the race. Trainer T. McGovern explained he was disappointed with today’s performance and stated the filly may not have handled today’s track conditions or the road travel distance. Mr. McGovern further explained BOOM BUNNY appeared to have pulled up well from today’s race and gave an undertaking to advise stewards should anything come to his attention in the near future that may have had a bearing on today’s performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.     
 
SHEZA BARBAROSSA – Over-raced in the early and middle stages having to be restrained from heels near the 500 metres.           
 
INSTA WORTHY - Restrained from heels near the 500 metres.       

RACE 5:CAIRNS HARDWARE CLASS 3 PLATE – 1250 Metres

ECLIPSION – Slow to begin. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.  
 
PARCH – Over-raced in the early and middle stages and was restrained heavily approaching the 800 metres.                      
 
COLOURS OF AUTUMN – Lost its near-hind plate during running. 
 
 
 
 

RACE 6:LADBROKES TOP 2/3/4 BETTING OPEN HANDICAP – 1250 Metres

As both SMART LEGEND and STADIUM OF LIGHT had not raced for an extended period they both underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and were cleared to race.
 
ARCTIC BEAR – Slow to begin.
 
ARMOUR FORCE – Began awkwardly. 

SWEET KISSES – When asked to explain today’s performance jockey A. Holt explained whilst he was disappointed with the performance he was of the opinion the mare may not have appreciated today’s heavy impost on the heavy track. Trainer Ms. G. Holt agreed with jockey A. Holt’s thoughts and gave an undertaking to advise stewards should anything come to her attention in the near future that may have had a bearing on today’s performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.     
 
RACE 7:CENTURY CRANES BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP – 950 Metres

ALBANIAN BAY – Slow to begin. Lost its off-front plate during running.      
 
FANCY GARTER – Shifted out under pressure leaving the 200 metres inconveniencing ACCEPT POWER. Jockey A. Holt was advised to show much greater care in similar circumstances.       
 
ACCEPT POWER – Improved onto the heels of FANCY GARTER near the 200 metres which shifted out and was further inconvenienced by FANCY GARTER shortly after which continued to shift out.
 
RISING RUBY – Subsequently after competing today trainer Ms. K. Allender advised stewards the mare was found to have blood present in both nostrils. Ms. Allender was advised RISING RUBY shall not without the permission of the Stewards: (a) for a period of 2 months after the attack of bleeding, be trained, exercised or galloped on a racecourse, recognized training track, private training establishment, or other place; (b) must not start in any race for a period of 3 months, and then only after: i. a gallop of at least 1,000 metres; or ii. an official trial or jump-out; in the presence, and to the satisfaction of a Steward.

RACE 8:CORAL COAST CATERING BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP – 950 Metres
 
CYCLONE COCO – Slow to begin.

PELSAERT (NZ) – Slow to begin.
 
REMEMBER ROY – Slow to begin. Shifted out under pressure approaching the 100 metres forcing COPPABELLA ROAD wider. Again, shifted out near the 100 metres causing COPPABELLA ROAD to shift out crowding HAPHAZARD. Jockey M. Murphy was advised to show much greater care when shifting ground.    

COPPABELLA ROAD – Forced wider approaching the 100 metres and again near the 100 metres.            

HAPHAZARD – Hampered near the 100 metres and steadied.
RACE 9:RED BERET HOTEL BENCHMARK 70 HANDICAP – 950 Metres

ZI WIN – Bounded in the air on jumping and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be displaying respiratory distress. Co-Trainer Mr. P. Rowe advised stewards consideration would be given the geldings current preparation and was nonetheless advised a veterinary clearance would be required prior to ZI WIN racing or trialing again.     

IRRESISTIBLE FORCE – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Over-raced in the middle stages.            
GOSSIP TORQUE – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.

RACE 10:BOOK NOW - LEGENDS BEEF & BEER LUNCHEON MAY 29 RATINGS BAND 0 - 55 HANDICAP – 1250 Metres

MR OREO – Bounded in the air at the start and lost ground.
 
LINE 'EM UP LOUI – Began awkwardly and brushed the inside barrier petition.
 
REDLIGHTS ON – Began awkwardly and shifted out tightening TIPPED OFF.     
 
LORD POWER – Began awkwardly and shifted in tightening TIPPED OFF. Found to have had its tongue tie come loose during running.    
 
TIPPED OFF – Tightened for room on jumping.
 
STARMEIRA – Made the 1000 metre turn awkwardly.

TSUNAMI – Compounded in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
