SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT



Toowoomba Jump outs Thursday 21/4/2022- After the running of Heat 5 CYCLONE GUS trained by Mr K Kemp had the presence of blood in both nostrils. A post-race veterinary examination identified that the horse had bled from both nostrils. Acting under AR79 (4)(b) Stewards advised Mr Kemp that the horse may not start in a race for a period of three (3) months and then only after a satisfactory gallop of at least 1000m in the presence of stewards.



As the racing partnership of J and K Dixon being dissolved TYPHOON TALAYAH in Race 1 is now being trained by Mr J Dixon.





GENERAL



After the running of Race 1 at today’s meeting and Stewards in consultation with Senior Riders downgraded the track Rating to a Slow 5.



The start of Race 6 was delayed due to a mechanical issue with the barriers, the start was further delayed due to the late scratching at 3.45pm of RISING SPIRIT when the Filly become fractious in the barrier. Due to the delay the start times of races 5 and 6 were amended by approximately nine minutes respectively



Race 1: MCINNES WILSON LAWYERS Maiden Plate 1400 metres



Burn The Boats- travelled three-wide during the middle stages and approaching the 500m point continued to race wide while trying to obtain a more forward position.



Critical Thinker- bumped another runner shortly after the start, then over raced during the early stages of the event, approaching the 1000m continued to over race with the rider having to take hold and ease of the heels of OVER THE FALLS.



Gold Invest- began awkwardly.



Motion Sensor- was slow to begin, lost ground when approaching the 500m as a resulting of the horse stumbling at that point.



Over The Falls- approaching the 1000m point shifted out to improve, on returning to scales Jockey K Zechner reported to stewards his horse had hung out for during the early stages the race. Stewards noted Jockey Zechners comments.



Rowlett- was slow to begin, then was bumped by CRITICAL THINKER shortly after the start.



Grinzinger Knight- began awkwardly and bumped by THE GROUSE shortly after the start and lost ground.

Blue Corner- travelled three-wide without cover in an effort to take a forward position and continued to travel three wide for the majority of the event.



Typhoon Talayah- approaching the 1000m point was held up momentarily, approaching the 800m point lost ground as a result of the Mare stumbling at that point.





Race 2: GREAT NORTHERN BREWING CO. BENCHMARK 58 Handicap 1400 metres



Chamberlain- began awkwardly when making contact with the barriers as the start was affected and then bumped STATIC LIFT shortly after, the gelding was then tightened for room between runners and lost ground when bumped by TRACKMAN. It then travelled two- wide with no cover leaving the 800m to take a forward position just outside the leaders. Leaving the 400m the rider had to take hold momentarily and lost some ground when MARCADA crossed its running.



Pucko- between the 200m and the 100m when the rider elected to use the whip, the gelding tended to roll in. It continued to roll in at the 100m point, which resulted in the rider of RESONARE becoming tightened for room and subsequently having to take hold. Aprr. M Savva was advised by Stewards to exercise more care.



Resonare- when leaving the mounting yard, the horse made contact with the outside rail. A pre- race veterinary examination was undertaken with the gelding having a superficial graze on the left lateral thigh, no blood was present, and the horse was passed fit to start. Bumped by MARCADA shortly after the start. When approaching the 100m point in the race was forced to steady when he became tightened for room as a result of PUCKO rolling in when under pressure.



Trackman (NZ)- began awkwardly and bumped CHAMBERLAIN shortly after the start, continued to lay out resulting in that horse being tightened for room. As the rider began to take hold the horse then shifted in an bumped SIZZLING BABE on the hindquarters shortly after the start and lost ground, being tailed off from the 1200m point.



Marcada- began awkwardly and bumped RESONARE at the start, was forced to ease off the heels of NOMBUSO approaching the 800m point. When approaching the 400m when trying to improve and take a more forward position did shift out resulting in CHAMBERLAIN being inconvenienced and the rider having to take hold at that point. Jockey G Geran was severely reprimanded by Stewards under AR131(a) for allowing his mount to shift ground when insufficiently clear.



Static Lift- began awkwardly and was bumped by CHAMBERLAIN shortly after the start. hung out for a short distance from the 1100m, then travelled wide with no cover from the 800m for the remainder and finishing the race off strongly over the concluding stages.



Sizzling Babe- began awkwardly and was bumped on the hindquarters by TRACKMAN shortly after the start.



Race 3: YVES YARRA VALLEY PREMIUM CUVEE BENCHMARK 58 Handicap 1400 metres



The Carpenter- travelled wide with no cover for the majority.



Carlin Trend- was declared a late scratching at 1.46pm by order of stewards after being cast in the barriers. Prior to the declaration of correct weight Stewards ordered that all monies invested on CARLIN TREND be refunded with the following deductions applicable to all successful wagers placed prior to 1:46pm the following deductions-



19 cents in the dollar for the win

15 cents in the dollar for the place on the winner

19 cents for 2nd

16 cents for third



Trainer L Hatch undertook to advise of the geldings’ condition in the coming days.



Bracken- bumped by another runner shortly after the start.



Scorpios Sunset- was slow to begin, on returning to scales Appr Jockey Teh reported to stewards that she dropped her whip shortly after entering the home turn.



Kibbit Raheeb- due to the gelding not racing or trialling for twelve months a pre-race veterinary examination was undertaken with no abnormalities being detected and passed fit to race. Ran three- wide with no cover for the majority of the race.



Doubles Choice- began awkwardly bumping BRACKEN shortly after the start, raced at the rear of the field from the 900m and remained there for the majority of the event. Ran on strongly over the final stages of the event.



Uralba- was slow into stride at the start.





Race 4: CAMM AGRICULTURAL GROUP BENCHMARK 58 Handicap 1200 metres





Incomparable- began awkwardly, over raced early stages and went on to race disappointingly from the 1000m despite the best efforts of the rider to improve and take a more forward position.



Spiritomo- travelled three -wide with no cover for the majority.



Cheesie- raced disappointingly throughout the event despite the urgings of the rider to improve the mare’s position. As a result of the seemingly disappointing performance by the mare, a post- race veterinary examination was undertaken. No abnormalities were detected.



Twilight Boom- travelled wide with no cover mid stages.



Blavatsky- travelled wide with cover from the 800m, then approaching the 400m point raced extremely wide.



Misery Miss- Jockey G Geran was forced to take hold approaching the 1000m point when CHEESIE rolled in and lost ground.





Race 5: MORGAN PASTORAL AMATEURS CUP OPEN Handicap1400 metres



Coup- declared a late scratching at 10.25am by Stewards acting on Vets advice. Trainer Mr M Nolan was advised by stewards that A Vet Certificate would be required prior to the horse racing again.



The Irons- began awkwardly and then bumped THE MINIVAN shortly after the start. Travelled wide with no cover during the middle stages of the event. Laid out under pressure shortly after entering the home turn for a short distance.



Liberty Head- Jockey N Fazackerly reported to Stewards that he was unable to make the allocated weight and as a result Stewards acting under AR190(3) replaced Jockey Fazackerly with Jockey K Zechner and fined Jockey Fazackerly the sum of $200. On returning to scale Jockey Zechner reported to Stewards that he dropped his whip at the 100m point.



Bryneich- Appr Jockey I Rabjones was fined $200 by Stewards acting under AR131(c) for a celebratory gesture prior to the winning post.



The Minivan- began awkwardly and was then bumped by another runner soon after the start. Travelled wide with no cover for the majority.



Melodeon- was slow to begin.



Fort Myer- was slow to begin.



Race 6: TOYOTA CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED VEHICLES QTIS Three-Year-Old Maiden Handica 800 metres





I'm Rushin - due to RISING SPIRIT being fractious in the barriers with contact being made to the gelding’s hindquarters. A veterinary examination was undertaken with no abnormalities detected and subsequently the horse was passed fit to race.



Agraciana- slow to begin and then bumped by another runner shortly after the start. Travelled wide from the 400m point for the remainder of the event.



Heart Two Beat- due to the horse not having raced or trialled for eight months a pre-race veterinary examination was performed with no abnormalities detected and subsequently passed fit to start. Slow to begin failed to go the early speed and from the 700m point was not competitive being tailed off for the majority of the event. Stewards will advise Trainer Mr G Huth that a Warning would be placed on the horse for being uncompetitive.



Ombre Volante- was slow to begin.



Rising Spirit- was fractious in the barriers and became cast. The horse was examined by the Veterinarian and found to be lame in the offside rear leg with some soreness midway down the right side of the neck. Acting on Vet advise stewards declared the Filly a late scratching at 3.45pm. Trainer Mr G Richardson was advised the horse would need to trial to the satisfaction of stewards and obtain a Veterinary Certificate prior to the filly racing again. Prior to the declaration of correct weight stewards ordered that all monies invested on RISING SPIRIT be refunded less the following deductions applicable to all successful wagers placed prior to 3:45pm the following deductions-



4 cents in the dollar for the win

3 cents in the dollar for the place on the winner

12 cents for 2nd

9 cents for third



Shoelace Soup- when RISING SPIRIT became fractious in the barriers contact was made to the filly. The horse was then examined by the Veterinarian with no abnormalities detected and subsequently passed fit to start. Began awkwardly.



Spirit Of Quin- was slow to begin, travelled very wide with no cover for the majority of the event.



More Max- began awkwardly and bumped AGRACIANA short after the start.





Race 7: MCINNES WILSON LAWYERS Maiden Plate 1788 metres



He's Viral (NZ)- on arrival to the barriers the Starter Mr I Henderson reported to Stewards the gelding had buckles on the reins, which is deemed unapproved gear. As there was no replacement reins available Stewards declared the gelding a late scratching at 4:16pm. Prior to the declaration of correct weight stewards ordered that all monies invested on HE’S VIRAL be refunded with the following deductions applicable to all successful wagers placed prior to 4.16 pm the following deductions-



3 cents in the dollar for the win

4 cents in the dollar for the place on the winner

6 cents for 2nd

4 cents for third



Trainer Mr G Wright as advised by Stewards that buckled reins are not approved gear and are not to be used Mr Wright was fined the sum of $200 by Stewards AR206.



High Way Warrior- began awkwardly and bumped VENOMOUS at the start, leaving the 600m point began to weaken from that point. On returning to scale Appr Jockey O Webb advised Stewards that her mount wasn’t suited by the tempo today and proved disappointing. Stewards noted Appr Webb’s comments. Stewards will contact Trainer R Pereira and place a warning on the horse for being uncompetitive today.



Truth Or Dare- shifted out when trying to obtain a more forward position approaching the 150m point resulting in the gelding inconveniencing and bumping EUPHRATES which had to be steadied became unbalanced and lost ground. Jockey Zechner was advised by Stewards to exercise more care in running.



Venomous- began awkwardly and was tightened for room between runners shortly after the start.



Zoomaratta- was fractious in the barriers prior to the start, began awkwardly and made contact with the barriers on jumping. Travelled three -wide with no cover during the middle stages of the event. Stewards will contact Trainer Mr J Judge advising that the horse would be required to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards due to its barrier manners at today’s meeting.



Zouesay- travelled three -wide with no cover from the 800m for the majority of the event. On returning to scale Jockey S Lacy reported to stewards that her mount wasn’t suited to the track conditions today, stewards noted Jockey Lacy’s comments.



Angelic Archer- travelled three- wide with no cover from the 900m point and ran at the rear of the field for the majority. Began to improve over the final stages of the event and ran on well over the concluding stages. On returning to scale Appr Jockey S Stephan reported to Stewards that her mount wasn’t suited by the conditions today. Stewards noted Appr Stephan’s comments.



From The Gong- travelled three- wide with no cover during the early stages.



Irresistabull- began awkwardly and bumped VENOMOUS shortly after the start.



Euphrates- approaching the 150m point the gelding did lay in marginally and was bumped by TRUTH OR DARE. As a result EUPHRATES became unbalanced and lost ground. Jockey G Geran was advised to exercise more care by Stewards.
