GENERAL
 
Stewards permitted the following weight variations at today’s meeting:
Race 4: GHETTO – Luke Miller 54kg (+1kg)
Race 5: FORT MYER – Hannah Phillips 54.5kg (+0.5kg)
 
Race 1: I’M RUSHIN – As App Jai Williams was delayed on course due to transport difficulties, Stewards permitted App Alisha Donald to be declared the replacement rider.
 
 
Race 1: CAMM AGRICULTURAL GROUP Maiden Handicap (1100 metres)
 
Casino Cat – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Laid out under pressure in the home straight.
 
Pauli – Raced wide and without cover for majority of the event. Momentarily held up on heels rounding the home-turn.
 
Apache Flash – Slow to begin. Laid out rounding the 600m.

I Am Jimmy – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Laid out rounding the 600m.
 
Gertie Goer – Began very awkwardly and shortly after shifted out abruptly dislodging its rider. App E Lang was examined by ambulance officers and deemed fit to fulfill her remaining engagements.
 
I'm Rushin – Raced wide and without cover throughout. Laid out rounding the 600m.
 
Kournikova – Slow into stride.
 
Following the running of this event, maintenance work was conducted on the starting gates to ensure adequate power-supply. Barriers were subsequently re-tested and found to be in adequate working order.

Race 2: GREAT NORTHERN BREWING CO Maiden Handicap (1100 metres)
 
Torrential – Shifted ground under pressure down the running.
 
Hypervelocity – Began awkwardly, shifted out and contacted CELTIC FLASH. Dislodged its rider on pulling up. Apprentice rider S. Champkin was examined by ambulance officers and deemed fit to fulfill her remaining engagements.
 
Celtic Flash (NZ) – Contacted on jumping when HYPERVELOCITY shifted out. Became crowded leaving the 800m. Raced wide for majority of the event. Commenced to hang out approaching the 400m. Trainer L. Mawn was advised the gelding would be required to barrier trial prior to its next start.
 
Train Rock – Raced keenly early stages. Shifted ground under pressure down the running.
 
Jondy Gracie – Underwent a pre-race veterninary examination having not raced in the past 12 months and passed fit to start. Raced wide and without cover throughout the event.
 
Day Time Martinis – Began awkwardly. Laid out during the middle stages. Performed below market expectations. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. When questioned regarding her apparent lack of vigour over the concluding stages, rider H. Richardson stated that the mare was not travelling strong enough to obtain a marginal run between horses and as such she neglected to exhaustively pressure the mare so as to not become awkwardly placed on heels. Subsequently went to the line without being fully tested. Jockey Richardson further stated she had expected a forward showing based on the mare’s work leading into the event and in her opinion today’s performance proved disappointing.
 
Shotgun Sixtyfour – Began awkwardly.
 
 
Race 3: PORT OF BRISBANE RATINGS BAND 0 - 55 Handicap (1100 metres)
 
Declaration of correct weight was delayed to allow rider of 4th placegetter NASA, Jockey L Tarrant, to view the photo finish. After viewing the the official photo Jockey L Tarrant was satisfied and correct weight was declared on the Judges numbers.
 
Klinsmann – Began awkwardly. Raced keenly in the early stages.
 
Templemore – Laid in under pressure down the running. Shifted in passing the winning post crowding NASA. Apprentice L. Barr was advised to exercise greater care.
 
Friday's Jet – Approaching the 700m became tightened for several strides and was obliged to be restrained.
 
Eil 'N' All – Raced wide and without cover for majority of the event.
 
Nasa – Crowded passing the winning post when both POWER SISTER and TEMPLEMORE shifted ground.
 
Power Sister – Shifted in leaving the 800m tightening FRIDAY’S JET (S. Apthorpe). M. Hellyer was severely reprimanded under the provisions of AR131(a) for shifting ground when insufficiently clear. Shifted ground under pressure down the running. Shifted out passing the winning post crowding NASA. Rider M. Hellyer was advised to exercise greater care.
 
Boom Storm – Slow to begin and subsequently lost ground in the early stages.
 
Quarter Past – Inclined to lay in throughout the event.
 
 
Race 4: FKG GROUP RATINGS BAND 0 - 55 Handicap (1100 metres)
 
Stays On Tour – Approaching the 1000m was inconvenienced and obliged to ease before shifting wider.
 
Yamumza – Began awkwardly. Momentarily held up entering home straight before shifting wider and bumping GOOGAZ.
 
Intimate Tycoon – Approaching the 1000m forced wider. Raced wide and without cover throughout.
 
Googaz – Bumped rounding the home turn.
 
Shotgun Sam – Inclined to shift ground under pressure down the running.
 
Penny Stocks – Began awkwardly.
 
War Lady – Approaching the 1000m shifted out inconveniencing STAYS ON TOUR. App L. Barr was reprimanded under the provisions of AR131(a) for shifting ground when insufficiently clear.
 
Contessa Nile – Raced wide and without cover for majority of the event. Obliged to shift in and around heels leaving the 200m.
 
Ghetto – Began awkwardly and subsequently lost ground. Bumped the inside running rail approaching the 800m.
 
 
Race 5: WINDSOR HOTEL RATINGS BAND 0 - 55 Handicap (1100 metres)
 
Inclusion – Began awkwardly. Performed below market expectations.A post-race veterinary examination revealed superficial lacerations to the off-hind pastern consistent with being galloped on. Jockey C. Jokic reported the gelding may not have handled today’s track surface which, in her opinion, was somewhat inconsistent.
 
Miss Moscato – Leaving the 400m bumped THE ANGELS KISS.
 
Okay Okay – Began awkwardly.
 
Fort Myer – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Momentarily crowded approaching the 700m.
 
The Angels Kiss – Began awkwardly. Raced wide and without cover for majority of the event. Awkwardly placed on heels entering the home straight before shifting in to obtain clear running. Leaving 400m bumped MISS MOSCATO. App S. Willis was fined $300 under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using her whip on 7 occasions prior to the 100m.
 
 
Race 6: TOYOTA CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED VEHICLES BENCHMARK 62 Handicap (1200 metres)
 
Charged – Began awkwardly. Momentarily crowded leaving the 600m before being obliged to restrain when improving onto heels and being further crowded near the 550m, commenced to race ungenerously and lost ground as a result.
 
Monday Monday – From the 700m, attempted to shift wider around the heels of ARTIE”S DESTINY, bumping KING OF WANCHAI in doing so near the 550m, before being forced back onto the inside running rail.
 
King of Wanchai– Shifted in marginally near the 550m bumping with MONDAY MONDAY, taking that runner in.
 
Son Of Mercury – Began awkwardly and was bumped. Improved onto heels passing the 550m and was subsequently obliged to restrain and shift wider.
 
Bonnie Ev – Obliged to ease when forced wider at the 550m.
 
Blue Corner – After beginning only fairly from a wide gate, was restrained so as to obtain a position with cover closer  to the inside running rail. Improved onto heels passing the 550m and was subsequently obliged to restrain and shift wider.
 
El Asteroid (NZ) – Bumped and became unbalanced on jumping. Raced keenly in the early stages. Obliged to ease when forced wider at the 550m.
 
Artie's Destiny – Buffeted shortly after the start.
 
 
Race 7: STAG BENCHMARK 55 Handicap (1400 metres)
 
Package – Disappointed for a run and obliged to be eased entering the home straight. Laid in under pressure down the running.
 
Chosen Distance – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
 
True Patriot – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
 
Distant Secret – Approaching the 400m improved onto heels before having to be eased and shifted wider to obtain clear running.
 
Shadie Milly – After beginning on terms with the field failed to muster sufficient speed to maintain its position and subsequently trailed the field throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer N. Hemmings was advised a warning would be placed on the mare for being uncompetitive.
 
 
Race 8: MCINNES WILSON LAWYERS AMATEURS CUP OPEN Handicap (1400 metres)
 
Magic Charlee – Began awkwardly.
 
Canasta (FR) – Change of tactics, to be ridden with cover if circumstances permit. After beginning well from an outside barrier was ridden positively in the early stages and obtained a one-off position outside the leader.
 
I Promise You – After being crossed at the 1100m commenced to over-race for some distance.
 
Not Liable – Over-raced in the early stages.
 
 
Race 9: BLACK TOYOTA Class 3 Handicap (1400 metres)
 
Declaration of correct weight was delayed to allow connections of COOL ENCOUNTER to view footage of the start. After evidence was taken it was found that simultaneous to the start being effected, COOL ENCOUNTER got its off-hind leg cast on the back gates. It was determined the actions of the gelding caused itself to be encumbered, and subsequently Stewards couldn’t be satisfied that the gelding was denied a fair start under AR204.
 
 Declaration of correct weight was further delayed to allow Stewards to view the photo finish for 3rd place. After viewing the official photo correct weight was declared on the Judges numbers.
 
 
Cool Encounter – Began very awkwardly and was slow to begin. Laid out approaching the 400m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
Instant Karma – Began awkwardly.
 
Prepotent – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Laid out approaching the 400mn.
 
Tomboy's Spirit – App A. Donald, rider of TOMBOY’S SPIRIT, was reprimanded under AR131(b) for failing to ride her mount out fully to the end of the race.
 
Vale Street – Began awkwardly and shifted out.
