RACE 3: BEAUDESERTRACECLUB.COM QTIS 3-Y-OLD MAIDEN HANDICAP 1100m
When questioned, rider K. Matheson(MAGIC INVADER) explained he was asked to be forward on the gelding but after being tightened on leaving the gates, settled toward the rear of the field. He said as MAGIC INVADER had raced keenly at its previous start, he allowed the gelding to race where comfortable & start to improve approaching the 500m. He further said, he was then held up from the 500m when behind VOSTOKOVA and had to wait for clear running until straightening when that horse moved off the rail, but was then caught behind the weakening MAFIOSA before being able to shift out passing the 100m and went to the end off the race without being tested
RACE 1: PAUL KLEIN BOOKMAKING QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD MAIDEN PLATE 1400m
MR WORTHINGTON- Raced wide from the 600m. Laid in under pressure down the running.
NASIRON- Laid in under pressure down the running, having to be corrected leaving the 100m.
VIPER ROOM- Bumped on jumping.
OUR MIRACLE GIRL- Raced keenly near the 1000m.
PEQUENA DIVA- Bumped on jumping.
SPINALONG LASS- Slow to begin. Harmlessly dislodged Jockey J Baker on returning to scale. Jockey Baker was examined by QAS officers and cleared of injury. Jockey Baker advised that, in his opinion, the filly would derive an experience benefit from the run and may be better suited to events over further distances.
RACE 2: 9 POINT SECURITY MAIDEN PLATE 1000m
WHATABOOM- Slow to begin.
ZOUCHASE- Laid out rounding the home turn. Jockey Tilley dropped his near side rein before quickly regathering near the 300m.
LADY ENCRYPTEAU- Laid out under pressure down the running.
OUTDOOR CAT- Began awkwardly. Over-raced leaving the 800m. Laid out rounding the home turn and under pressure down the running proving difficult to ride out and becoming awkwardly placed on heels approaching the winning post. Trainer B Davis was advised a warning would be placed on the mares racing manners as a result.
TERVOLA- As Jockey N Fazackerley could not satisfy the allocated weight Stewards permitted Jockey N Tomizawa to be substituted as the mares rider. Jockey N Fazackerley was fined the sum of $100 under the provisions of AR190(3) for accepting a ride when overweight, in considering the matter Stewards noted Jockey Fazackerleys good recent record in relation to the rule as well as the advance notice he provided Stewards of the situation. Laid in under pressure down the running.
SONIC FLYER- Crowded soon after the start. Laid in approaching the winning post.
RACE 3: WESTERN DOWNS MARINE & CANVAS MAIDEN PLATE 1000m
ATHOL MAC- Bumped soon after the start. Crowded, taken in and bumped near the 900m.
CORVALIST- Bumped on jumping. Slow into stride. Bumped and marginally crowded near the 900m.
KOBE ASCOT- Bumped on jumping and again soon after. Tightened for room and restrained near the 900m.
MASTER NED- Began awkwardly. Raced wide for the majority.
FANCI FLEUR- Shifted in near the 900m momentarily crowding OVERDOIT and consequently tightening runners to the inside, before being corrected by its rider. Jockey B Ainsworth was severely reprimanded for careless riding pursuant to AR131(a) as a result of this incident. In considering the matter Stewards noted the crowding to OVERDOIT was largely marginal and that horse racing somewhat greenly had exacerbated the interference to the inside runners.
OVERDOIT- Crowded and shifted in near the 900m crowding runners to the inside. Became momentarily awkwardly placed on heels approaching the 200m before laying in and again becoming momentarily awkwardly place on heels approaching the 100m, having to be corrected.
RARE MOON- Took charge of its rider in the preliminary before dislodging App I Jessop and breaking through the course proper running rail and galloping for sometime in an adjacent paddock. RARE MOON was subsequently declared a late scratching at 1:15pm. Stewards ordered that all monies invested on the mare were to be refunded with the following deductions applicable to all successful wagers placed prior to 1:15pm:
9cents in the dollar for the win
14cents in the dollar for the place on the winner
13cents in the dollar for 2nd place
7cents in the dollar for 3rd place
Trainer C Geran was advised the mare would be required to trial under race-day conditions prior to again being permitted to start in a race. App I Jessop was examined by QAS officers and after initially being declared free of injury was stood-down as pain in her leg and ankle began to worsen. App Jessop was advised she would require a medical clearance prior to riding again.
SNUGG- Began awkwardly. Laid in near the 500m. Raced wide for the majority.
ANXO- Stewards permitted the removal of the tongue-control bit and addition of the tongue-tie to the geldings gear on 18 August 2025. Trainer N Beck was fined the sum of $200 under the provisions of AR206 for the late gear declaration. Began awkwardly. Raced greenly under pressure down the running proving somewhat difficult to ride out. Raced wide for the majority.
RACE 4: J T W CLEANING SERVICES BENCHMARK 70 HANDICAP 1000m
BIOGRAPHER- Shifted out marginally on straightening.
PALAWA KANI- Bumped on jumping. Raced keenly for the majority. Shifted in marginally on straightening.
ZENA BOY- Laid in under pressure down the running. Raced wide for the majority.
HEROIC CHIEF- Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after becoming fractious in the wash-bay area and was cleared fit to start. Slow into stride.
RAN NA LADY- Crowded soon after entering the home straight and obliged to steady. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed the mare to be exhibiting signs of tying-up.
MARATHIA- Began awkwardly and bumped. Crowded soon after the start and was steadied.
I'M A CHOCOHOLIC- Trainer S Sixtus was reprimanded pursuant to LR67(1) for the late declaration of rider on the mare. Began awkwardly.
RACE 5: SOUTHSIDE MEATS BUTCHERS PANTRY MAIDEN PLATE 1400m
BAD BOY BOONE- Bumped on jumping.
CITY OF TROY (NZ)- Began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped.
EXSIDEE- Bumped on jumping. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a minor laceration to the near-hind consistent with being galloped on in running.
IONACELTIC- Raced wide for the majority.
NYTHE- Became awkwardly placed on heels having to be restrained soon after the start. Trailed the field throughout. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed the gelding to be lame in the offside foreleg. Trainer C Storch was advised the gelding would require a veterinary clearance of fitness prior to again being permitted to start in a race.
TRUSTY BANDIT- Laid in under pressure down the running.
WITNESS DIS- Raced keenly near the 1000m.
SAKURA MAGIC (NZ)- Bumped on jumping, taken wider and bumped again.
LILLY 'N' ROSE- Buffeted on jumping. Laid in under pressure down the running.
RACE 6: LADBROKES MAIDEN PLATE 1400m
BUSH WOOKIE- Bumped heavily on jumping.
FUTURE HERO- Began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped heavily.
PRIZED GESTURE- Bumped on jumping.
TOWERS HILL- Began awkwardly shifted out and bumped. Laid in near the 800m. Laid in under pressure down the running.
VILLANDRY- Momentarily held up approaching the 400m.
YONAKA- Raced keenly on heels near the 800m.
OUR ESPRIT- Bumped on jumping.
RELATIVES- Raced wide until the 700m.
ALABAMA MOONLIGHT- Shifted in when not completely clear of YONAKA which was racing keenly. Jockey J Huxtable was advised to exercise greater care and ensure he is fully clear before crossing in future.
RACE 7: DALBY DRY CLEANERS & LAUNDERERS CLASS 3 HANDICAP 1200m
The start of the race was delayed approximately 4minutes when LADY ZAYDI dislodged a dislodged a plate on exiting the mounting yard which required re-fitting at the barriers.
DOWNEY- Slow to begin. Over-raced on heels near the 800m.
LADY ZAYDI- Began awkwardly. Shifted in, clipped heels and knuckled near the 1100m. App K Lenton, in the presence of Apprentice Mentor Mr R Fradd, was severely reprimanded for careless riding pursuant to AR131(a) as a result of this incident.
BLUE CHIP GIRL- Raced keenly in the middle stages.
LITTLE SHOW- Began awkwardly and bumped heavily.
SWEET ABOUT ME- Bumped on jumping, became awkwardly placed on heels and eased. Laid in under pressure down the running.
BY BY MUSIC- Began awkwardly and bumped.
SENSE OF HUMOUR- Shifted in and bumped MISS HELMUT near the 800m, taking that runner in and momentarily hampering DOWNEY which was already racing keenly. Jockey G Cartwright was advised to exercise greater care in similar circumstances. Underwent a post-race veterinary which revealed a minor laceration to the offside hock.
MISS HELMUT- Bumped on jumping. Bumped and taken in near the 800m. Laid out near the 500m.
RACE 8: G.J. GARDNER HOMES DALBY & CHINCHILLA FILLIES & MARES RATINGS BAND 0 - 62 HANDICAP 1400m
LA MANO- Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed some minor lung sounds.
PROPHET OF BOOM- Bumped on jumping. Bumped on the hindquarters approaching the 1200m.
MADALSA- Shifted in approaching the 1200m crowding SEACRYPTION before being crowded itself. Jockey L Tilley was reprimanded for careless riding pursuant to AR131(a) as a result of this incident. Laid in and away from another runner near the 50m, having to be corrected.
SOMETHING FORJO- Declared a last scratching at 11:00am on veterinary advice after sustaining a hoof injury in the stable. Trainer C Geran was advised the mare would require a veterinary certificate of fitness prior to again being permitted to start in a race.
SEACRYPTION- Slow into stride. Tightened, bumped and obliged to restrain approaching the 1200m.
EJAY'S FIREFOX- Bumped on jumping. Shifted in approaching the 1200m crowding MADALSA and further crowding SEACRYPTION before shifting out. Jockey A Allen was reprimanded for careless riding pursuant to AR131(a) as a result of this incident.
SHOUTS ALL DAY- Began very awkwardly, bumped and lost ground. Laid in under pressure down the running.
PEACH GALANTES- Bumped on jumping. Raced keenly near the 1000m. Crowded and momentarily steadied near the 50m.
NEW YORK GAL- Laid out under pressure near the 50m before being corrected.
RACE 9: BMO BUSINESS CENTRE COLTS, GELDINGS & ENTIRES RATINGS BAND 0 - 62 HANDICAP 1400m
MR WANDJI- Raced keenly for the majority, over-racing near the 1000m.
POWERFUL EAGLE- Began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped.
PRINCE OF DIAMONDS- Bumped on jumping. Raced keenly in the early stages.
THIEF BY NIGHT- Began awkwardly. Raced keenly for the majority, over-racing near the 1000m and again near the 550m before having to be steadied, shifting out and bumping.
AMENOPHIS- Bumped on jumping. Jockey P Hamblin pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding pursuant to AR131(a) in that near the 1100m he did permit his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of PROOINGA which was obliged to check and lose its rightful running, CHANGE THE DEEL which was trailing and racing keenly at the time was also obliged to check from heels and shifted wider. Jockey Hamblins license to ride in race was subsequently suspended for a period of 9days to commence 20 August, up to and including 28 August 2025. In considering the matter Stewards applied the QRIC careless riding template as well as noting additionally Jockey Hambling prolonged good record in relation to the rule. Jockey Hamblin was advised of his right to an appeal.
REVELAIDE- Raced keenly in the early stages.
TOKYO BANDIT- Raced keenly near the 1000m. Raced wide for the majority.
PROOINGA- Bumped on jumping. Obliged to check from heels near the 1100m.
CHANGE THE DEEL- Raced keenly for the majority. Checked from heels when racing keenly near the 1100m. Bumped near the 550m.
