GENERAL

Stewards accepted Trainer R Kerwin’s submission for the late rider change in Race 6- LUNESSA replacing Jky G Geran with Jky M Hellyer. After an inspection of the track, Stewards raised concerns with riders of the placement of the false rail and the narrow gap adjacent to the 1400m chute. After inspecting the area concerned, riders and Stewards were satisfied with the placement. The track rating was upgraded from Good 4 to Good 3.

Due to App Ms O Webb being dislodged from MISS LEANA prior to the running of Race 1 and treated by QAS, Stewards ordered all runners return to the respective stalls and that an indefinite delay would occur until an additional ambulance was on course to convey App Webb to the hospital for further examination. In consultation with all parties, the following alterations were made to the starting times of the races on the program. Race 1 was amended to 2.00pm, Race 2 was amended to 2.25pm, Race 3 amended to 2.45pm. Race 4 to Race 8 were able to be run at the advertised start time.

As a result of HIGH SECURITY falling in Race 4, a delay for the start of Race 5 occurred with an additional ambulance being required to convey App Lowe to hospital for further examination. Race 5 start time was amended to 4.15pm, the remaining races being able to be run on the advertised starting time. Stewards permitted rider changes as per the Stewards Race Day Summary. Both App O Webb and App C Lowe were advised a medical clearance would be required prior to their resuming riding.
