GENERAL

As Jockey R. Wiggins was not riding for acceptable reasons and Jockey L. Tilley due to injury, Stewards permitted the rider changes as per the Stewards Race Day Summary.

Race 1: 9 POINT SECURITY TWO-YEAR-OLD MAIDEN PLATE 1100m

BARRYTHEBARBARIC – Began awkwardly and contacted the barrier partition on jumping. When asked to comment, rider A. Butler was unable to offer an explanation for the disappointing performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the right fore leg. Trainer J. Taylor was advised BARRYTHEBARBARIC would require veterinary clearance prior to resuming.

MISHANI HONOUR – Slow to begin.

HOLD MY HAND – Began awkwardly.

LONESOME STAR – Laid out passing the 600m.

TOSCANELLA – Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight.

Race 2: ADAM LUCK ELECTRICAL MAIDEN HANDICAP 1400m

UP OVER'N GONE – Began awkwardly and blundered disloding rider D.Boche.
Rider D. Boche was examined by QAS officials and was cleared to fufill his
remaining engagements. A post-race veterinary examiation revealed the gelding to have a
minor laction to the right fore heel bulb.

LUCKY JOKER – Inconvenienced and lost ground at the start due to the riderless horse.

GRATIFICATION (NZ) – Began fairly. Approaching the 1000m, obliged to restrain to avoid the heels of the riderless UP OVER'N GONE. Obliged to race wide from the 1000m until obtaining a positon nearer the rail near the 800m. Rider B. Lerena dropped his whip approaching the 200m.

GLOBAL CURRENCY – A post-race veterianry examiantion revealed the filly
to have a laceration to the right hind leg consistent with being galloped on. Co-Trainer C.
Geran was advised GLOBAL CURRENCY would require veterinary clearance prior to
resuming.

ALKEBULAN – Eased passing the 800m when racing in resticted room.

SUMMER READY – Laid out under pressure in the home straight. Trainer D.
Knight was reprimanded pursuant to AR 65(1) for failing to produce SUMMER READY’S
thoroughbred identification card.

Race 3: LADBROKES SAME RACE MULTI CLASS 4 HANDICAP 1400m

DENETTA was declared a late scratching at 1:39pm following a pre-race veterinary examination which revealed the mare to have separation on the inside heel bulb coronary band of the left hind pastern, symptoms consistent to mud fever. Trainer S. Sixtus was advised DENETTA would require veterinary clearance prior to resuming.

POWERFUL EAGLE – Near the 700m obliged to restrain when WARILLA GORILLA (A. Butler) shifted in when insuficiently clear. Rider A. Butler was reprimanded pursuant to AR 131(a) for careless riding.

WARILLA GORILLA – Laid out under pressure when in the home straight.

KINGSLAND – Raced keenly in the early stages.

SON OF BEEBEE – Shifted out at the start. Raced wide for the majoirty.

Race 4: JTW CLEANING SERVICES MAIDEN PLATE 1100m


CHIDGEY – When being restrained, raced fiercely with its head up from the 800m until the 400m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

SIR MEMPHIS – Shifted out at the start and inconvenienced CHIDGEY.

FOOLISH PLAYER – Approaching the 800m, eased when racing behind CHIDGEY. Approaching the 600m, shifted in across the heels of BRONZE MEMORY which shifted out marginally.

FOXTROTTING – Raced wide for the majority.

BRONZE MEMORY – Approaching the 600m, shifted out marginally.

TUK TIK – Raced wide for the majority.

Race 5: BMO ACCOUNTS 0 - 55 HANDICAP 1100m

MASTER NED – Began awkwardly, inconvenienced shortly thereafter when MASTER NED shifted out and subsequently lost ground.

CRYPT DE PIN – Shifted out abruptly. Raced wide for the majority. Passing the 800m, eased when racing keen.

MOTHER JOY – Raced wide for the majority.

XUANFENG – Trainer C. Johnstone was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding for its barrier manners (reared).

PACIFIC PIRATE – Began awkwardly and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

ABOVE THE WORLD – Began awkwardly. Raced wide for the majority.

SONIC ARROW – Began awkwardly and shifted out.

Race 6: WARREGO OFFICE CHOICE 0 - 55 HANDICAP 1100m


CORVALIST – Raced wide for the majority.

RUM DIARY – Bumped at the start. Laid out when placed under pressure in the home straight.

PRINCE OF DIAMONDS – Began awkwardly and bumped RUM DIARY.

BRAVE COWBOY BILL – Raced wide for the majority. Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight. When asked to comment on the performance, rider A. Butler stated the gelding may not have been suited to today’s track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have cardiac arrythmia (first occasion). Trainer O. Cairns was advised of the provision under AR 88B(2).

QUARTER RED – Held up for clear running from the 300m until the 200m before shifting in to obtain clear running.

TAYLOR'S RAGE – Began awkwardly. Approaching the 200m, shifted out across the heels of BRAVE COWBOY BILL (A. Butler) which was laying in under pressure. Rider A. Butler was advised to exercise greater care when shifting ground. Rider H. Richardson reported the filly failed to travel comfortably throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

MINXY – Laid out when placed under pressure in the home straight.

Race 7: GREENWAY TURF SOLUTIONS BM60 HANDICAP 1100m

BEAN ROCKING – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination due to resuming racing from an extended period. Raced wide for the majority.

CRESSBROOK – Began awkwardly.

MR EVANS – Raced wide for the majority. Laid in between the 200m and 100m when placed under pressure.

COPPER STAR – When asked to comment on the performance, rider D. Boche reported the gelding was not suited to the tempo on the race.

MAN TALK – Turned its head as the start was effected.

DEVIL'S RITE – Momentarily hampered approaching the 100m when MR EVANS (H. Shaw) laid in. Rider H. Shaw was advised to exercise greater care in similar circumstances.

COPPER SUNSET – Laid out when placed under pressure in the home straight.

Race 8: DALBY SHOPPING WORLD OPEN HANDICAP 1100m

REJOICED – Blundered at the start, shifted in and bumped SMILING ZAC (NZ). Raced keenly in the early stages.

SMILING ZAC (NZ) – Began awkwardly, buffeted between runners, became unbalanced and lost ground.

INATICK – Shifted out at the start and bumped by ADALIE.

ADALIE – Began awkwardly, heavily bumped by SMILING ZAC (NZ) and lost ground.
