SUPPLEMENTARY

From SCTC 17.1.15 – Race 6: Trainer T. Miller reported following the event that REAL GOOD had jarred up and will now be sent for a spell.

GENERAL

Trainer S. Kendrick was fined $100 on each count of failing to produce the Thoroughbred Identification Card for EMERGE (Race 3) and TUMULT (Race 5).

Race 1: BMAG TEDDY BEARS PICNIC RACEDAY QTIS 3YO MAIDEN H’CAP – 1110M

BOARD DIRECTOR – Raced 4 wide throughout.

GUNDY MAGIC – Blundered badly at the start. Checked when the pace slackened in front near the 700m.

HIDDEN ROAD – Slow to begin. Hung out throughout, particularly on the turns.

RED SAMBUCA – Checked when the pace slackened in front near the 700m.

ALEXSTRASZA – Hung out throughout, particularly on the turns.


Race 2: SKY INTERNATIONAL QTIS 3YO MAIDEN H’CAP – 1110M

Trainer B. Mackay was fined $100 for the late declaration of J. Orman as the rider of NARDOO.

Trainer T. Gollan was fined $100 for presenting REAL HEART to race in incorrect gear.

BROOKIE’S BABY – Overraced in the early stages.

REAL HEART – Jumped away awkwardly. Raced greenly in the early stages. Inconvenienced by another runner which shifted out on the first turn and then again near the 600m.

NARDOO – Raced wide without cover.

RUBIACEAE – Slow to begin.

SCRAP COPPER – Hampered shortly after the start. Overraced in the early stages.

Following the running of this event the track was upgraded to GOOD 4.


Race 3: COKE ZERO F&M MAIDEN PLATE – 1350M

PROMISES – Became unbalanced and lost ground after being brushed by another runner when tiring near the 250m.

QUATTRO PASSI – Hampered by another runner after leaving the 1200m and then overraced in the early stages. Checked when disappointed for running near the 500m. Momentarily held up on straightening.

CLASSIC STAR – Laid in slightly in the straight and proved difficult to ride out.

DEEP POCKETS – The veterinary surgeon reported that the filly sustained a laceration to the off fore pastern consistent with being galloped on.

EASY ALPHA – Raced three wide without cover.

GYPSY GOLD – Jumped away awkwardly and lost ground.

WHATALOVELYDAY – After being boxed it was noted that the breastplate had broken. As it was unable to be replaced, the horse raced without this gear. Restrained from heels after leaving the 900m.

ELUSIVE LEGACY – Slow to begin.


Race 4: QUEST BREAKFAST CREEK C,G&E MAIDEN PLATE – 1350M

As apprentice J. Johnson was stood down by the Club doctor, apprentice R. Jamieson was substituted as the rider of GREY NOT BLACK.

MR SEDUCTION – Slow to begin and briefly hampered shortly after the start.

NAVILLUS REXTED – Shifted in abruptly approaching the 900m, tightening another runner.

ZARFASTAR – Got its head up and overraced in the early stages. Shifted out abruptly after passing the 1000m. Trainer N. McCall’s stable representative Mr R. Tyrrell reported that following the event the horse was coughing and had mucous in its nostrils.

CANONGATE – Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. Rider accidentally dropped her whip near the 200m. Inconvenienced and carried wider near the 600m.

DIGGLER – Jumped awkwardly and made contact with another runner. For some distance after the 1000m raced in restricted room on the heels of ENTIRE SAVINGS when taken in by NAVILLUS REXTED. G. Goold (NAVILLUS REXTED) was advised to exercise more care. Raced in restricted room approaching the 800m and made contact with another runner.

LOST THIEF – Checked and shifted out away from heels near the 600m.

METRO BLUE – Raced wide and finished a distant last. Inconvenienced and carried wider near the 600m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off foreleg. Trainer B. Guy advised stewards that the horse would now be sent for a spell.

STAROCITY – Hampered by another runner near the 150m. Inconvenienced near the 100m.

GUNDY STORM – Shifted out abruptly under riding and hampered another runner near the 150m.


Race 5: BRISBANE MARRIOTT HOTEL CLASS 5 H’CAP – 1050M

IKE’S LEGACY – Tightened for room near the 950m.

WHO WILL – Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. Raced wide without cover. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in both forelegs. Trainer J. Zielke advised stewards that the horse would now be retired.

TIGER DIMEJAN – Shifted in near the 950m, tightening a number of runners. Apprentice C. Schmidt was reprimanded.

DIAMOND TRAIL – Tightened for room near the 950m.

THE BLACK FERRI – Tightened for room near the 950m.



Race 6: GIRLS DAY OUT RATINGS BAND 0-70 H’CAP – 1200M

RAINBOW MAGIC – Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.

MENACING – Jumped awkwardly, shifted in and bumped another runner. Trainer S. Kendrick reported that the gelding raced like a horse that may have come to the end of its preparation and will now be recommending to connections to send the horse for a spell. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

TORCELLO – Slow to begin.

EASY LAGER – Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.

DUREEZA – Raced wide without cover.


Race 7: GALLOPERS SPORTS CLUB F&M CLASS 3 PLATE – 1350M

The start of this race was delayed considerably when BANCHORY LASS, which cast a plate during its preliminary, had to be replated, and then further delayed to hold for an interstate event.

BANCHORY LASS – Got its head up and lost ground when being restrained near the 1000m.

FRILLY CURTAIN – Slow to begin.


Race 8: JAMES BOAG’S PREMIUM RATINGS BAND 0-70 H’CAP – 1650M

MODERN AL – Jumped awkwardly.

CAPTAIN FASTBUCK – Inconvenienced near the 600m.

MR ALFRANCO – Slow to begin.

UMASAGA – Raced wide in the early stages before being allowed to stride forward and assume the lead near the 900m.

SIPPIN’BUNDY – Slow to begin.

HUSSY ERIN – Tightened for room and had to be checked near the 1500m. L. Rolls, the rider of CAPTAIN FASTBUCK, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR. 137(a) in that near the 1500m he permitted his mount to shift in when not sufficiently clear of HUSSY ERIN. Jockey Rolls’ licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 6 meetings, with the term to commence at midnight on Saturday 24 January and expire at midnight on Sunday 1 February 2015.




Race 9: TIKI VILLAGE RACEDAY C,G&E CLASS 3 PLATE – 1350M

Prior to the declaration of correct weight, J. Byrne, rider of 2nd placegetter LEAD THE WAY, requested a viewing of the video to ascertain whether he had grounds to object against the winner. His application was denied, however stewards viewed the video prior to giving correct weight.

PARTY SPIN – Pulled hard in the early stages.

STRATOJET – Raced wide without cover.

ARGIE’S HEART – Slow to begin.

FEROCITY FAIR – Pulled hard in the early stages.
