______________________________
As J. Johnson was not riding at today’s meeting, riding changes were made as per the stewards summary sheet.
Race 1: Racing Retro Open H'cap – 2100m
DOUBLE IMPACT – Apprentice C. Schmidt stated that the gelding wasn’t suited when the race developed into a sprint home over the final 600m, however was disappointing in that it failed to make any ground in the home straight. Trainer J. Crompton advised that the horse will now be sent for an immediate spell. A post race veterinary examination revealed a slower than normal recovery rate.
Race 2: Mitavite QTIS 2yo C&G H'cap - 1110m
PRIVLAKA – Slow to begin. A post race veterinary examination of the horse, which finished last, revealed soreness in the off hind leg. Trainer R. Heathcote reported that the horse will now be gelded.

I’M BELUCCI – Blundered soon after the start.
CRAIGLEA WANDOO – Shifted out passing the 200m and bumped another runner.

Browne stated that the filly was disappointing, and initially was reluctant to race inside other runners, however did not finish the race off as he had expected. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
CRAIGLEA ZIP – Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
Race 4: Ashgrove Cricket Centenary F&M 1 MW H'cap – 1110m
Prior to correct weight, rider A. Spinks requested a viewing of the stewards’ video as he was of the view that his mount may have gained an unfair advantage on the field by lunging forward prior to the start being effected and opening the mare’s barrier gate prematurely. Stewards subsequently ruled that a fair start had been effected.
TIGER DIMEJAN – Rider B. Grylls made application to the stewards that her mount had been denied a fair start due to it due to it being held by a barrier attendant as the start was effected, which resulted in the horse losing considerable ground. Stewards established from the starter that a barrier attendant had been requested to attend the mare in the gates, and were satisfied that his actions had not contributed to the mare rearing as the start was effected. A warning was placed Tiger Dimejan regarding its barrier manners.
BO ROSSA – Slow to begin.

Race 6: Girl’s Day Out Open H'cap - 1200m
