Race 1: Broncos Team Store BM70 Handicap – 1200m
PINCH MEMORY – Trainer R. Heathcote advised the horse would be ridden further forward in the field today if circumstances permit. The horse was ridden accordingly. Laid outwards making the turn into the straight.
SPIRIT AND FIRE – Jumped away awkwardly and shortly after the start was crowded when racing between UNLIKELY STORY and TOKORIKI LAD. Raced keenly in the early stages. When questioned regarding the ride jockey M. Du Plessis stated that after initially travelling well the gelding appeared to be one paced and may be looking for further ground. A post race veterinary examination found the gelding to be coughing after the race.
UNLIKELY STORY – Raced keenly in the early stages.
CATALINA MISS – Steadied off the heels of PINCH MEMORY, which laid outwards making the turn into the straight.
SAILOR GERRI –Raced wide throughout.
TRIPLE ARROW – A post race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Jockey M. Walker was fined $300 for failing to ride his mount out to the end of the race.
Race 2: National Storage Locker Room BM90 Handicap – 2000m
JAMINZAH – Slow to begin. Laid outwards making the turn into the home straight.
Race 3: Construction Skills Qld – Country Cups Challenge Race 0MW L2Y – 1600m
BLUE JEST – Slow to begin. Raced three wide without cover throughout.
ARTIE’S SHORE – Crowded on jumping when ESCHIELE jumped awkwardly inwards.
LOUD ENOUGH – Crowded on jumping when ARTIE’S SHORE was carried in by ESCHIELE, which jumped awkwardly inwards.
WELL SIGHTED – Buffetted and crowded at the start between FASTA THAN LIGHT, which jumped outwards and FAB’S COWBOY, which jumped inwards. Raced four wide without cover throughout.
FASTA THAN LIGHT – Jumped away awkwardly and then made contact with WELL SIGHTED.
THE GREATEST – Raced keenly in the early stages.
ESCHIELE- Had a tendency to lay inwards throughout.
Race 4: Epicure Memorable Moments BM85 Handicap – 1200m
KOPITE which restless in the gates, struck the front of its barrier with its head. KOPITE was subsequently examined by the veterinary surgeon and found to have a laceration on its gum. KOPITE was subsequently withdrawn at 2.49 .m. by order of stewards acting on veterinary advice. All monies invested on KOPITE were ordered to be refunded. Deductions applicable to bets placed on the winner and placegetters prior to 2.49 p.m.:-

4 cents in the dollar for the place of winner - #7 (HINGUS ROSE)
5 cents in the dollar for 2nd place - #13 (ADORADANCER)
5 cents in the dollar for 3rd place - #11 (BLUEBROOK)
BERGERAC – Slow into stride.
BLUEBROOK – Slow into stride.
CURDLED – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
Following the running of this event the track was upgraded to a Good 3.
Race 5: Brisbane Broncos Sizzling Plate – 1050m
RINGSIDE LAD – Slow to begin after jumping away extremely awkwardly.
VALADYIUM – Jumped away awkwardly.
ENCIEH – Shortly after the start was eased when awkwardly placed at the heels of ELEVEN ELEVEN. Thereafter was inclined to race keenly in the early stages.
Race 6: National Storage Winning Rupert Plate – 1200m
PHANTOM SHADOW – Jumped awkwardly outwards.
MAGIC FOX – Inconvenienced on jumping when DESERT DIGBY jumped awkwardly outwards.
DESERT DIGBY – Jumped away awkwardly. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have galloped on itself on the near fore leg and sustained some bruising to the inside heel.
Race 7: Mark Cotterell Master Jeweller Mode Stakes (Listed) – 1200m
CONQUERMORE – Jumped outwards at the start making contact with WHISKEY SHOOTER.
WHISKEY SHOOTER – Bumped on jumping and shortly after the start made contact with CONQUERMORE. Shortly after making the turn into the straight had to be eased off the heels of MALAHIDE, which shifted out. Jockey S. Galloway (MALAHIDE) was severely reprimanded and advised to take greater care when shifting ground in future.
SINGULAR SENSATION – Bumped on jumping. Raced wide throughout.
SHAMURT – Held up and unable to improve making the turn into the straight.
SUGAR SIZZLE – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
Race 8: TAB George Moore Stakes (Group 3) – 1200m
CARE TO THINK – Slow to begin after jumping away awkwardly and making contact with MONSIEUR GUSTAVE.
PAQUIRRI – Bumped on jumping.
VICTOREM – Bumped on jumping. Raced wide from the 800m. Laid in in the home straight brushing TYZONE on a couple of occasions.
MONSIEUR GUSTAVE – Shortly after passing the 1000m got its head up when being steadied.
TYZONE – Brushed VICTOREM on a couple of occasions when racing tight to the inside of that gelding over the final 200m.
Race 9: Mark Cotterell Master Jeweller Class 6 Plate – 1350m
REALING – Slow to begin.
MR BELLAGIO – Slow into stride.
SAINT PATRICKS DAY – Held up and unable to improve from the 600m until the 150m.
AQUA VITE – Had difficulty obtaining clear running from the 400m until the 200m.
FORTENSKY – Had a tendency to lay inwards in the straight.
ENDLESS DAYS – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
