Race 1: DUBIOUS FIRST YEARLINGS IN 2023 QTIS Two-Year-Old Handicap 1100 metres
 
KEYBOARD - Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
MISHANI TYCOON - Near the 250m had to be steadied from the heels MISHANI CRUISE which shifted out.
 
FINAL APPEAL - Began awkwardly. At the 600m had to be steadied from the heels of MISHANI TYCOON.
 
MISHANI CRUISE - Near 500m raced awkwardly, shifting in making contact with the running rail. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
MISHANI TWILIGHT - Began awkwardly.
 
BOOMSTER - Raced three wide throughout. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
Race 2: MOUNT FRANKLIN QTIS Three-Year-Old Fillies Handicap 1200 metres
 
After the running of Race 2, Stewards upgraded the track to a Soft 7 retrospectively.
 
CLAIRVUE MOLLY - Held up on the home turn and early in the straight before improving into a narrow run between DIAMOND CITY and EVEN NOW. 
 
DIAMOND CITY - Began awkwardly and shifted in contacting the hind quarters of LADY FALVELON before shifting out bumping EVEN NOW. Raced three wide in the early stages. Over raced early.
 
Race 3: GALLOPERS SPORTS CLUB QTIS Three-Year-Old Colts & Geldings Handicap 1200 metres
 
NORTHERN EXPRESS – Had a tendency to lay in when under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
JEMELDI - Hampered at the start. Over raced in the early stages. Rider L. Tarrant when asked to comment on the gelding’s performance explained that it over raced slightly early when leading and was disappointing in its finishing effort when placed under pressure.
 
Race 4: DERBY RACEDAY @ EAGLE FARM 29 OCTOBER Fillies & Mares Class 6 Plate 1200 metres
 
MY ODDETTE (NZ) - Trainer P & W. Hulbert was fined $200 under LR67(1) for the late declaration of rider. Slow to begin. Leaving the 700m was inclined to lay out and became awkward on the heels of EXTREMIST.
 
ENTERPRISE POMME - Had to restrain near the 1000m to avoid the heels of SELF INDULGENT when not quite clear. Rider of SELF INDULGENT, R. Maloney, was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances. Over raced when racing in a three wide position. Over the final concluding stages was held up and Rider J. Lloyd was prevented from riding his mount out in his usual matter due to SELF INDULGENT shifting out when under pressure.
 
Race 5: LYNDON KEANE MEDIA No Metro Wins Handicap 1050 metres
 
LA AMIGO - Began awkwardly. Over raced in the early stages. When over racing badly shifted out near the 600m resulting in STRATEGIC POSITION being forced wider and having to be steadied from heels.
 
FIVE OXFORD - Held up in the early stages of the home straight and near the 200m altered course to the outside of MORT DOYLE.
 
STRATEGIC POSITION - Began awkwardly. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no abnormalities. Trainer T. Gollan was advised that a warning would be placed on gelding’s pre-race manners due to rearing a number of times prior to entering the course.
 
FETCH - Raced three wide throughout. When questioned regarding the mare’s performance, Rider B. Thompson reported that he was slightly disappointed with the mare failing to let down into a run which presented near the 200m. Jockey also stated that it may be feeling the effects of recent racing.
 
COSSIE - Raced three wide throughout. Near the 600m was forced wider by another runner.
 
Race 6: ROAD TO MAGIC MILLIONS ON SALE NOW Class 3 Plate 1350 metres
 
ZOUKINA - Slow to begin.
 
BOWRIDER - Shifted in on jumping bumping A CALL FROM HEAVEN.
 
ROMAN HEIR - Over raced in the early stages and shifted to a three wide position to avoid the heels of HATCHET.
 
HATCHET - Near the 500m steadied to avoid the heels of BATTLETON which shifted in.
 
BATTLETON – M Cahill reported that his saddle shifted forward in the early stages thus proving difficult to ride and as a consequence he then elected to allow the horse to stride forward from the 900m before reaching the position outside the leader nearing the 400m.
 
STAR GAMBLE - Over raced in the early stages.
 
Race 7: XXXX BENCHMARK 72 Handicap 2020 metres
 
SPURIOUS - Raced three wide from the 900m. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
CHOCOLATIER (NZ) – Began awkward and shifted out bumping IN YOUR ELEMENT. Held up for clear running in the home straight and was unable to be fully tested by its rider.
 
IN YOUR ELEMENT - Was eased down over the final 400m to be beaten a significant distance. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed the mare had irritation and debris in both eyes which was caused by kick back and as a result was treated on course.
 
BLAZEN BOOTS (NZ) - Raced three wide in the early stages.
 
POPULIST - Over raced in the early stages.
 
MT MORT SHARK (NZ) - Raced three wide in the early stages. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
OUR SPIDER – Slow to begin.
 
REFLECTING IMAGE - Shifted wider near the 500m when awkwardly placed on the heels of BLAZEN BOOTS.
 
Race 8: NOVA 106.9 Colts, Geldings & Entires Class 6 Plate 1200 metres
 
After the running of Race 8 Stewards downgraded the track to a Heavy 8.
 
HAMLET VON SNITZEL - Rider B. Thompson reported at scale that in his opinion the gelding may not have handled today’s heavy track conditions. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed the gelding had slow post-race recovery.
 
SCOTTISH PRINCE - Raced three wide throughout.
 
PROPER ROGUE – Cast the near hind plate in running.
 
Race 9: THIS IS CROSER OPEN Quality Handicap 1615 metres
 
STARDOME (NZ) - Bumped on a number of occasions in the home straight.
 
AUSSIE NUGGET (IRE) - Held up in the early stages of the home straight and near the 200m was disappointed for a run to the outside of AT WITZ END and shifted out making contact with STARDOME on a number of occasions.
 
Race 10: SKY RACING BENCHMARK 78 Handicap 1615 metres
 
SAVVY OAK (NZ) - Held up for clear running on the home turn.
 
SMIRK (NZ) - Bumped on jumping by SAVVY OAK which shifted out. Held up for clear running on the home turn.
 
SLOW HANDS (NZ) - Slow to begin. Over raced in the early stages.
 
DRIVE A DEEL - Near the 1300m had to restrained to avoid the heels of CINQUE TORRI which shifted in when not being clear. Jockey M. Cahill was found guilty of a charge pursuant to AR131(a) and suspended for a period of ten (10) days, commencing at midnight 31st of October and ending midnight the 10th of November, being clear to ride on the 11th of November.

FLENSBURG - Raced three wide throughout.
