Race 7: LADBROKES COMMUNITIES QTIS BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1640 metres

Stewards inquired into an incident near the 150m where it appeared that NIPPAS NIGHTCAP ridden by R. Maloney was disappointed for a run between A CALL FROM HEAVEN ridden by apprentice C. Graham and SPIRIT OF BEANS ridden by R. Wiggins. Stewards on review of the camera angles and considering the evidence tendered by the riders acknowledged that whilst there was a narrow run between A CALL FROM HEAVEN and SPIRIT OF BEANS and when considering the evidence from R. Maloney (NIPPAS NIGHTCAP) that as he was improving into the run, it was narrowing. Stewards when assessing the interference with the view that SPIRIT OF BEANS had shifted in marginally near the 150m and A CALL FROM HEAVEN did shift out when weakening could not attribute blame to either rider and noted the incident. Apprentice C. Graham was advised by stewards to stop and straighten her mounts when under pressure in similar situations.
