SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
Adjourned Inquiry – Gatton 9th January 2026
Race 8 - MCNEIL FARMS BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1100 M

Stewards concluded the inquiry into the failure by Trainer Tony Gollan, to report that Dranitzelle had incurred a proximal spiral stress fracture to the R radius(a long bone), within 7 days of the injury being determined(on or about 12th May 2025) as required by RA Codes of Practice for major fractures. The stable advised Stewards late afternoon of 8th January of the injury and provided a Veterinary report outlining the findings and remedial advice. Dranitzelle later competed in Official trials at the Gold Coast on 2nd December & Doomben on 15th December, followed by veterinary reports indicating soundness on both occasions. Upon consideration of all the reports and veterinary advice, Stewards permitted Dranitzelle to start on the day, subject to a pre-race veterinary inspection. Subsequently, Mr Gollan pleaded guilty to a charge under AR88B in that he failed to report within 7 days, in accordance with the RA Code of Practice, the proximal spiral stress fracture to the R radius(a long bone), incurred by Dranitzelle, after it was detected by radiography on or about 12th May 2025.
