Once he was comfortable that LOST HIS BEANS and PARTY SPIRIT, which he was trailing had established their positions and were no longer shifting ground, Apprentice J. Franklin commenced to place his mount under pressure leaving the 150m. Apprentice J. Franklin further added that in hindsight he erred in not placing SCUD under pressure on entering the home straight in an attempt to place his mount in a position to improve should a run have eventuated. After beginning awkwardly and with speed shown by HE’S HEAVEN to her inside, she explained that after pressuring her mount early, HELL failed to respond to her riding passing the 800m, and in hindsight, she may have been better to bring the gelding back rather than persisting to maintain the lead.
