SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT

Ipswich 26/11/25

Stewards today 5/2/26 completed an inquiry into the tactics adopted on LA GRACIA by Jockey H Van Der Hoven in Race 1 at Ipswich 26/11/2025. After taking initial evidence on the day from Jockey Van Der Hoven and stable representative for Archibald Racing that being Mr T Pollard, Stewards adjourned for further consideration.

On review Stewards do note that LA GRACIA was rising in distance from 1700m to 2190m and after being inconvenienced at the start was forced to settle further back in the field which was not to the instructions issued by Mr Pollard thus placing it at a disadvantage in the small field. Stewards also note that Jockey Van Der Hoven did attempt to improve on the mare in the middle stages but was held on the rail by JADATAN which was racing to its outside. Jockey Van Der Haven was further disappointed from the 600m until approaching the home turn when further disadvantaged at the heels of weakening runners.

Stewards reviewed wagering on the event and after considering Jockey Van Der Hovens ride in totality noted his explanation.
