SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
 
From Aquis Beaudesert – 27 December 2019:
 
Race 3 – Trainer M. Palmer reported that THE WELLOFELLO had sustained lacerations to the right hind leg.
 
Race 7 – TIGER LOVE was galloped on on the right hind leg and a veterinary clearance will be required prior to its return to racing.
 
GENERAL
 
As D. Smith was not riding due to injury, riding replacements were made as per the Stewards Race Day Summary.
 
Race 1: MAGIC MILLIONS INSURANCE CLASS 3 H'CAP – 1820M
 
DELADIES BOY – When questioned regarding today’s performance, trainer T. Gollan stated that the gelding had been disappointing at its previous start, however, today’s drop down in class and back with its regular rider may have been contributing factors for its improved performance. The veterinary surgeon reported that the gelding returned to the enclosure with an abrasion on the near hind hock, consistent with being galloped on.
 
NAKED – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
MUFASTA – Slow to begin.
 
RED PHANTOM – Slightly inconvenienced shortly after passing the 1700m when AXELLA rolled outwards. Had a tendency to overrace in the early stages.
 
STARBUSTER – Raced wide throughout.
 
TYRES ARE CRUCIAL – Dipped on jumping and was slow to begin. Steadied near the 500m when CABIN FEVER rolled outwards. Lost the off hind plate in running.
 
Race 2: TAB BENCHMARK 75 H'CAP – 1500M
 
BRYNEICH – Raced three wide without cover in the early stages.
 
PLUMARO – Slow into stride. Bumped by BERNIE’S TIGER on a number of occasions near the 900m.
 
TOGA PICTA – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
BERNIE’S TIGER – Commenced to overrace near the 900m and had to be restrained from the heels of THE KINGDOM and shifted out, bumping PLUMARO on a number of occasions. Made contact with PLUMARO approaching the 500m when attempting to shift to the outside of MASLOW.
 
ROYAL ATOM – Slow to begin.
 
RED DOULTON – Raced three wide throughout.
 
Race 3: MAGIC MILLIONS QTIS RATINGS BAND 0 – 90 H'CAP – 1200M
 
DIVINE DICE – A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be stepping short in both forelegs and to have mild heat stress. Connections were advised that the horse will require a veterinary clearance prior to racing again.
 
LIM’S LIGHTNING – Raced wide throughout and making the turn into the straight was carried wider when bumped by PENNINO, which shifted out to obtain clear running.
 
PENNINO – Slightly slow to begin. Steadied shortly after the start off the heel of BRING IT HOME POP, which rolled inwards.
 
THE ODYSSEY – Raced three wide throughout.
 
DESERT DIGBY – Trainer D. Forster reported that the gelding was lame in the near foreleg post-race. Ms Forster was advised that the horse will require a veterinary clearance prior to racing again.
 
LEROYTHECONQUEROR – Slow to begin. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near foreleg. Trainer D. Batters was advised that the horse will require a veterinary clearance prior to racing again.
 
Race 4: MAGIC MILLIONS SHOOT OUT – 2218M
 
THE CANDY MAN – Bumped with WINNING WAYS on jumping.
 
WINNING WAYS – Bumped with THE CANDY MAN on jumping. Made contact with SIR BARNABUS shortly after the start. Approximately 50m after the start had to be steadied off the heels of SIR BARNABUS when racing tight to the outside of that gelding.
 
MORTON’S FORK – The veterinary surgeon reported that the gelding ha sustained a laceration to the outside of the near fore cannon, consistent with being galloped on.
 
CAPITAL GAIN – Raced wide from the 800m.
 
OUTRAGED – Slow to begin.
 
SIR BARNABUS – Bumped shortly after the start. Raced wide throughout.
 
Following the running of this event the track was upgraded to GOOD 3.
 
Race 5: MAGIC MILLIONS VO ROGUE PLATE – 1400M
 
SCOUT – Had to be continually restrained off the heels of LET IT POUR when proving difficult to settle in the early and middle stages.
 
ELEVEN ELEVEN – Made the turn into the straight wide after being bumped by PROFIT, which shifted outwards. Shifted in abruptly near the 350m and bumped heavily with PROFIT.
 
PROFIT – Shifted out marginally near the 350m and bumped heavily with ELEVEN ELEVEN, which shifted in abruptly.
 
OH FIVE GLORY – The off hind plate had to be refitted to the filly prior to leaving the enclosure.
 
NATASSA – Slow to begin.
 
Race 6: MAGIC MILLIONS B.J. MCLACHLAN STAKES – 1200M
 
WAY BEYOND – Buffeted when racing tight between RED STILETTO and BLONDEAU making the turn into the straight.
 
AMISH BOY – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
BLONDEAU – Inclined to lay outwards from the 400m.
 
KING AND KING – A post-race veterinary examination revealed the colt to be lame in the near fore fetlock. Connections were advised that the horse will require a veterinary clearance prior to racing again.
 
RED STILETTO – Slow into stride.
 
Race 7: MAGIC MILLIONS BERNBOROUGH H'CAP – 1600M
 
NICCANOVA – J. Orman advised that his instructions were to ride midfield with cover, however, after being caught wide in the early stages he elected to go forward and found himself in a leading position.
 
DOUBT DEFYING – Bumped with RULING DYNASTY on jumping. Unable to secure clear running from the 450m until the 200m.
 
SILVERA – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
SNITCH – Overraced in the early stages.
 
RECKLESS CHOICE – Had to be taken outwards shortly after entering the straight to obtain clear running.
 
RULING DYNASTY – Bumped with DOUBT DEFYING on jumping.
 
Race 8: MAGIC MILLIONS THE BUFFERING – 1400M
 
I’M A RIPPA – Momentarily steadied making the turn into the straight when racing between DEEP IMAGE and FIERY HEIGHTS.
 
TYZONE – Raced wide throughout.
 
MISS FABULASS – Slow to begin.
 
QIJI PHOENIX- Checked near the 500m when racing between EMPHASIS, which was racing tight to the inside of TYZONE, and MISS FABULASS, which shifted outwards marginally.
 
TOKORIKI LAD – Slow to begin after jumping away awkwardly.
 
PRIORITISE – Raced wide throughout.
 
Race 9: MAGIC MILLIONS NUDGEE STAKES – 1200M
 
MULTAJA – Jumped away awkwardly and in so doing made contact with SHALWA.
 
PERSUADER – Bumped on jumping. Raced three wide throughout.
 
EPIC GIRL – Laid inwards in the early part of the straight.
 
SPIRIT’S CHOICE – Bumped on jumping.
 
LA TIGERESA – Disappointed for a clear run near the 250m and shortly after had to be taken outwards in an attempt to obtain clear running, however, was hampered when SHALWA rolled out under pressure.
 
SHALWA – Bumped on jumping.
 
SUGAR BOOM – Jumped awkwardly outwards, bumping TAHITIAN DANCER out on to PERSUADER.
 
TAHITIAN DANCER – Bumped on jumping.
