Race 1: Events @ BRC Class 6 Handicap – 1830m
 
ADMIRAL JELLO – Slow to begin.
 
THE KINGDOM – Slow into stride. Raced keenly in the early stages.
 
HARADIFY – Jumped away awkwardly. Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
MAWAANY MACHINE – Raced keenly in the early stages. Laid outwards approaching the 300m and brushed GRESHAM. Laid outwards over the final 200m.
 
GRESHAM – Brushed near the 300m.
 
 
Race 2: Anzac Day Races 25 April Benchmark 70 Handicap – 1300m
 
ROYAL PHOENIX – Slow to begin.
 
JOYMAKER – Slow to begin. Held up rounding the home turn and in the early part of the home straight.
 
FORTIFICATION – Jumped away awkwardly. Near the 500m had to be restrained to avoid the heels of CHAPELCO. Soon afterwards improved between CHAPELCO and CLASSIC GAMING where there was doubtful room and had to be checked.
 
I LIKE CANDY – When racing keenly had to be steadied outwards away from the heels of INGEAR near the 1000m.
 
CLASSIC GAMING – Proved very difficult to settle for some distance passing the 1000m. Approaching and rounding the home turn was held up and unable to secure clear running.
 
MAKE A RULER – Raced wide in the early stages and had to be ridden forward to obtain a position outside the leader.
 
WHODUNNIT – Laid out in the early part of the home straight. Raced three wide throughout.
 
NICK THE SKIP – After passing the 300m had to be checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
App L. Day (CLASSIC GAMING) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under the provisions of AR131(a) in that she permitted her mount to shift out leaving the 300m making contact with WHODUNNIT, which shifted out across the rightful running of NICK THE SKIP, which had to be checked when tightened for room between WHODUNNIT and ROYAL PHOENIX. App Day’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of eight (8) days to commence midnight 13 March 2020 and expire midnight 21 March 2020.

App J. Huxtable (MAKE A RULER) was reminded of his obligations regarding his use of the whip prior to the 100m.
 
 
Race 3: Pink Picnic 19 April QTIS 2YO Handicap – 1300m
 
GRAND – Jumped awkwardly outwards and in doing so bumped MISHANI EPIC out onto NORTH ROCKS. Had a tendency to lay outwards shortly after the start.
 
MISHANI EPIC – Bumped on jumping.
 
NORTH ROCKS – Bumped on jumping. Shortly after passing the 500m was momentarily crowded to the inside of MISHANI VANDAL, which rolled inwards.
 
BELLISSIMI AMICI – Jumped awkwardly. Had to be momentarily steadied off the heels of MISHANI VANDAL, which shifted in near the 1000m. Near the 500m was momentarily inconvenienced when TUMBLER RIDGE was bumped outwards by JABALIC.
 
JABALIC – Had a tendency to overrace approaching the 1000m.
 
MISHANI VANDAL – Proved difficult to settle and had to be steadied off the heels of JABALIC near the 1000m.
 
TUMBLER RIDGE – Bumped outwards near the 500m when JABALIC shifted out.
 
 
Race 4: Family Raceday 4 April Class 3 Plate – 1000m
 
RUUCA – Restless in the barriers. Raced keenly in the early stages. Laid outwards in the straight. Jockey R. Fradd stated that after initially travelling well when placed under pressure in the straight his mount had a tendency to lay outwards and failed to run on. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the colt to have sustained a laceration on the outside of its off stifle and having struck itself on the inside of the off hind pastern.  
 
ELLA  DIVINE – Jumped away awkwardly and in doing so made contact with I AM VENUS.
 
I AM VENUS –  Made contact with BROCKY after being bumped by ELLA DIVINE on jumping. Momentarily inconvenienced passing the 300m when RUUCA laid outwards.
 
BROCKY – Bumped on jumping.
 
MISSIE ARCHER – Buffeted on jumping between BROCKY and DRAM OF DELAGO and as a result lost ground.
 
DRAM OF DELAGO – Buffeted when jumping between MISSIE ARCHER and RUUCA.
 
Jockey L. Cassidy was stood down by the Club’s Doctor following his ride in this event.
 
 
Race 5: Olivia’s Raceday 28 March Benchmark 75 Handicap – 1600m
 
BENFICA PRINCESS – Slow to begin.
 
SLOW HANDS – Laid inwards in the early part of the straight.
 
PLITVICE – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
SIR HUSSON – Raced three wide with cover throughout.
 
 
Race 6: Paddyfest 14 March Benchmark 75 Handicap – 2200m
 
Jockey M. Cahill, who replaced Jockey L. Cassidy, was permitted to ride SUNNY ST CLOUD a ½ kilo over the allotted weight as no other senior rider was available.
 
BARBADOS STORM – Slow to begin.
 
MISSED THE ALARM – Jumped away awkwardly. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
 
CRAIGLEA SIMMO – Bumped on jumping. Shortly after the start lost ground when crowded for room.
 
TWILIGHTER - Bumped on jumping. Shortly after the start lost ground when crowded for room.
 
METEOROLOGIST – Raced three wide in the early stages.
 
BROCSON – Raced keenly in the middle stages.
 
BRONZEGATE – Sprung its near fore plate in running.
 
 
Race 7: The Society Rooftop Class 6 Handicap – 1200m
 
TARDIS – Co-trainer Toby Edmonds advised the mare would be ridden back from the wide barrier if circumstances permit. The mare was ridden accordingly.
 
PRESSWAY – Jumped away awkwardly and was crowded on jumping between SHOGUN SUN and DON’T LEAVE ME OUT. Had a tendency to get its head up when racing keenly near the 700m.
 
SIMPLY SPLASHING – Slow into stride after jumping away awkwardly.
 
ADORADANCER – Had a tendency to overrace in the early stages.
 
RENEWING HOPE – Got its head up when giving ground from the 500m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be slightly sore in the front fetlocks. Trainer C. Rogers was advised that the gelding would now be barred from racing in the metropolitan area  until it can establish competitive form.
 
 
Race 8: TAB Open Handicap – 1400m
 
As App L. Kilner was indisposed due to personal reasons Stewards permitted App L. Day to be substituted as the rider of HAPPY GO PLUCKY.
 
SOVEREIGN NATION – Slow to begin.
 
THE AVENGER – Slow to begin.
 
BEL BURGESS – Proved difficult to settle in the early stages.
 
HAPPY GO PLUCKY – Near the 700m had to be checked outwards after racing up onto the heels of BEL BURGESS. Had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the straight and laid out over the final 200m.
 
LUCKY PROSPECTOR – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Race 9: Moet & Chandon Chairmans Club QTIS 3YO Handicap – 1400m
 
EPICURIOUS – Stood flatfooted at the start and lost a significant amount of ground. Trainer L. White was advised that a warning would be placed on the filly’s barrier manners.
 
SUNDAY SASSY – Jumped away awkwardly and was slow to begin after being bumped slightly by QUALIFY. Shortly after the start commenced to race keenly after being bumped by KASITA. Checked by STAR OF MICHELIN near the 150m.Jockey M. McGillivray (STAR OF MICHELIN) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under the provisions of AR131(a) in that he permitted his mount to shift out near the 150m when not clear of SUNDAY SASSY, which had to be checked. Jockey M. McGillivray’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of eight (8) days to commence midnight 14 March 2020 and expire midnight 22 March 2020. When assessing penalty Stewards took into account Jockey McGillivray’s recent good record and guilty plea.
 
KASITA – Made contact with SUNDAY SASSY shortly after the start. Raced three wide with cover throughout.
 
LAST EDITION – Overraced in the early and middle stages.
 
RED BLOOM – Approaching the 1300m had to be steadied when racing to the inside of VIVENDO IL SOGNO. Near the 250m was momentarily tightened for room and had to be restrained between ZOUVILLA, which shifted in slightly under pressure and QUART POT, which shifted out and away from VIVENDO IL SOGNO, which shifted out. Jockey R. Stewart (VIVENDO IL SOGNO) was cautioned for the manner in which he shifted ground.
 
RAPIDO GRIS – Approaching the 1300m had to be eased off the heels of RED BLOOM which steadied in front.
 
NAVAL STRIKE – Raced three wide with cover throughout.
 
BALLISTIC BOY – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
STAR OF MICHELIN – A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have sustained a laceration to the inside near fore cannon.
