SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
 
 
GENERAL
Race 4 – Rider L Dittman was fined $300 under the provisions of AR127(1) in that, he was dually engaged on BABY WONG and SHAQUERO. Rider L Dittman was subsequently replaced on BABY WONG.
 
Race 1: BEST BRED SPIRIT OF BOOMS SELL IN 2021 BM78 Handicap 2200 metres
 
SEENTOOMANY – Near the 700m raced in restricted room to the inside of ROMAKASH which laid in and away from POPULIST.
 
BARITONE – Rider R Fradd was fined $300 under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using his whip on seven occasions prior to the 100m, two more than permitted.
 
METEOR LIGHT – Rider M Rodd reported the gelding did not feel comfortable in its action. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be short striding in front.
 
POPULIST – Raced wide without cover.
 
WARP SPEED – Over raced in the early and middle stages. Performed below market expectations. Trainer R Heathcote reported that the gelding will now be spelled. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. A post-race swab sample was taken for analysis.
 
 
Race 2: SKY RACING QTIS Mares Class 6 Handicap 1400 metres
 
BARODA – Bumped at the start with COUNTESS DE GALVEZ. Bumped near the 50m by LASHONI. Prior to correct weight rider M Cahill viewed the Stewards patrol film, before not proceeding with an objection.
 
COUNTESS DE GALVEZ – Bumped at the start. Raced wide without cover.
 
SPLENDORONTHEGRASS – Over raced in the early stages.
 
HARD LABOUR – Held up near the 500m, before shifting out and bumping GUNNOBE.
 
LASHONI – Laid in in the home straight. Near the 50m shifted out and bumped BARODA.

GUNNOBE – Near the 500m, bumped by HARD LABOUR which shifted out.
 
 
Race 3: TAB CITY TO SURF PLATE 1600 metres
 
KUKERACHA – Brushed over the concluding stages when DZSENIFER shifted in.
 
ROKE – Raced wide without cover in the early stages, when being restrained to gain cover near the 1100m began to over race, continued to over race through the middle stages.
 
BLACK BOLT – Held up near the 500m. Near the 450m was steadied away from the heels of DZSENIFER which shifted out.
 
DZSENIFER – Laid in in the home straight. Rider S Cormack was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using his whip on six occasions prior to the 100m, one more than permitted.
 
PETUNIA – Slow to begin.
 
JABALIC – Rider R Palmer reported her mount laid out from the 800m.
 
QUEEN DAZZLER – Slow to begin.
 
 
Race 4: MAGIC MILLIONS B.J. MCLACHLAN STAKES 1200 metres
 
SHAQUERO – Began awkwardly. Over raced and raced green throughout. Performed below market expectations. Rider L Dittman stated the colt raced green and hung out from the 800m, however was disappointing. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with the stable in the ensuing days following todays performance.
 
GHOSTWRITER – Over raced in the early stages. Raced wide without cover. Laid in under pressure in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the colt to have a slow post-race recovery
 
SUBTERRANEAN – Laid out under pressure in the home straight.
 
ASTROLOGER – Began awkwardly, shortly after the start was steadied away from the heels of BABY WONG.
 
 
Race 5: NEW YEAR'S EVE AT EAGLE FARM Class 3 Handicap 1200 metres
 
OH FIVE GLORY – Laid in in the home straight.
 
SHOOTING FOR GOLD – Over raced in the early and middle stages.
 
MINTED – Slow to begin. Near the 900m, steadied away from the heels of SHOOTING FOR GOLD which shifted in.
 
MAXIMAK – Bumped at the start.
 
GOOD CHAT – Began awkwardly.
 
WARRAH FLASH – Began awkwardly and bumped MAXIMAK.
 
 
Race 6: MULLINS LAWYERS GRAND PRIX STAKES 2200 metres
 
THE ELANORA – Laid out over the final 200m.
 
TOSCANINI – Race wide until passing the 200m.
 
MR GEE – Slow to begin.
 
ALIRAAJ – Reared at the start and lost ground. Raced wide in the early stages, before settling outside the leader near the 1600m.

HOPKINS – Near the 400m, was steadied when ALIRAAJ which was giving ground shifted out. Laid out in the home straight.
 
 
 
Race 7: MAGIC MILLIONS BERNBOROUGH PLATE 1600 metres
 
GAULOIS – Brushed after passing the 100m by THE HARROVIAN which shifted out.
 
NICCANOVA– (second placegetter). Prior to correct weight rider M Cahill and trainer S Tregea viewed the Stewards patrol film in the straight. Rider M Cahill lodged a protest against THE HARROVIAN being declared the winner on the grounds of alleged interference from the 100m. After taking evidence from all parties it was established that after passing the 100m, HARROVIAN shifted out under pressure brushing with GAULOIS which in turn shifted out brushing with NICCANOVA.  As Stewards were of the opinion that this incident did not warrant that the placings be amended, the protest was dismissed, and correct weight was declared. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
 
THE HARROVIAN – Held up round the home turn, before obtaining a run to the inside of SNITCH which shifted out. After passing 100m shifted out under pressure brushing with GAULOIS.
 
SKATE TO PARIS – Raced wide without cover.
 
 
Race 8: MAGIC MILLIONS FALVELON QUALITY 1200 metres
 
SPECIAL REWARD – Race wide without cover. Bumped and carried wide near the 400m by ISAURIAN (M Cahill). Rider M Cahill was advised to exercise far greater care in similar circumstances.
 
ISAURIAN – Bounded at the start. Held up round the home turn, before shifting out and bumping SPECIAL REWARD near the 400m.
 
INQUIRY – Approaching the 600m, was inconvenienced when SPECIAL REWARD (A Mallyon) shifted in when not clear. Rider A Mallyon was advised to exercise far greater care in similar circumstances.
 
SMARTEDGE – Slow to begin.
 
 
Race 9: THANK YOU BRC MEMBERS QTIS E&G Class 6 Handicap 1400 metres
 
DOCTOR ZOUS – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination at the start, at the request of the rider, was passed suitable to start. Raced wide without cover in until passing the 900m. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed a laceration to its near fore limb.
 
GREAT KEPPELL – Hampered at the start by DOCTOR ZOUS which shifted out.
 
ENTERPRISE PRINCE – Rider R Fradd reported that the gelding slipped at the start. Had some difficulty obtaining clear running near the 100m.
 
ROMAN AUREUS – Raced wide without cover. Laid out under pressure in the home straight.
 
STARVIRGO – Held up in the early part of the home straight. Lost a near hind plate
 
ANGUS THE BLACK – Began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped BETTER THAN GROOVY. Over raced in the middle stages. Near the 900m steadied when awkwardly placed close to the heels oh DOCTOR ZOUS. Approaching the 100m was steadied when ROMAN AUREUS shifted out.
 
BETTER THAN GROOVY – Slow to begin, bumped after the start by ANGUS THE BLACK.
