Following the running of Race 8 Jockey K McEvoy was examined by the Club Doctor as he had made contact with the outside fence with his left foot en route to the barriers.
 
Race 1: TAB VENUE MODE BENCHMARK 80 Handicap 1810 metres
 
HAPPY GO PLUCKY - Inclined to lay out from the 200m.
 
PRINCE OF ARRAGON - Over-raced in the early stages and shifted wide from the 1200m and raced wide for the remainder.
 
SAFIN - Jockey B Nothdurft was reprimanded for use of the whip 6 times prior to the 100m, which is 1 more than permitted. AR132(7)(a)(ii)
 
PICKA PLUM (NZ) - Slow to begin.
 
INCENTIVISE - Caught wide in the early stages, elected to stride forward and take up a position in the lead near the 1000m.
 
THE DARK (NZ) - Began awkwardly.
 
Race 2: AUTHENTIC SECURITY THE PHOENIX 1500 metres
 
VERBEK (NZ) – Over-raced in the early stages.
 
TUTUKAKA (NZ) – Began awkwardly and bumped with KAYTEE REINADO. Over-raced in the early stages.
 
BAYERISCHE – Inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight.
 
KAYTEE REINADO – Bumped on jumping and became unbalanced. Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
IT'S ALL TALK – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Held up for clear running rounding the home turn until a point near the 200m, shifted out and made contact with PICK A BEANS.
 
PICK ZA BEANS – Tightened between runners on jumping. Approaching the 800m was steadied from heels. Near the 200m was bumped by IT’S ALL TALK. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
Race 3: CAPTAIN MORGAN TROPICAL QTIS GOLD JEWEL 1300 metres
 
MISHANI HUSTLER – Performed below market expectations, rider M Du Plessis stated that it travelled well throughout however added that it may not have performed well second up from a spell. Trainer L Ross undertook to report to Stewards anything that may become apparent which may have had an effect on the horses performance in the days subsequent to the event.
 
MACEWEN – Near the 400m checked heavily from the heels of RED BLOOM which lost ground.
 
BOLD STYLE – Began awkwardly.
 
COLPO DI TAMBURO – Raced three wide without cover throughout. Over-raced in the early stages.
 
GREAT POWERS – Slow to begin.
 
TUMBLER RIDGE – Raced three wide with cover throughout.
 
RED BLOOM – Approaching 400m had to be checked. Jockey J Byrne was found guilty to a charge of careless riding under the provisions of AR131(a) in that, approaching the 400m he shifted out when insufficiently clear of RED BLOOM (R King) resulting in that mount being tightened for room and checked, MACEWEN (R Maloney) which was following also having to be checked. Jockey J Byrne licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 11 days to commence midnight 14 June 2021 and expire midnight 25 June 2021.
 
Race 4: GRINDERS COFFEE LIGHTNING HANDICAP 1000 metres
 
SPURCRAFT – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
TYCOON ACE – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
DOCTOR ZOUS – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
NICCONITA – Tightened shortly after the start.
 
VOULAIT - A post-race veterinary examination identified the gelding to be lame in the near fore-leg. Stable representative N Hemmings was notified that a Veterinary clearance will be required prior to the horse racing or trialing again.
 
Race 5: ASCOT GREEN MORETON CUP 1200 metres
 
Start was delayed when VARDA became fractious in the barriers and as result underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed suitable to race.
 
SPLINTEX – Performed below market expectations, rider J Parr reported the horse was inclined to hang throughout and proved disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed lacerations in the horses mouth. Trainer M Newham advised that the horse will be immediately spelled.
 
SCALLOPINI – Performed below market expectations and as a result underwent a post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormal findings. Lost a near fore shoe in running.
 
WISDOM OF WATER – Over-raced in the early stages. Raced three wide with cover throughout. Laid out under pressure near the 150m and brushed with ZANIAH.
 
STAMPE – Buffeted between runners when racing in restricted room near the 800m.
 
THE ASTROLOGIST – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
VARDA – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Performed below market expectations and as a result underwent post-race veterinary examination which did not identify any abnormal findings.
 
 ZANIAH – Brushed with WISDOM OF WATER near the 150m which laid out under pressure.
 
Race 6: NUTURF SPEAR CHIEF HANDICAP 1500 metres
 
LOVE YOU LUCY – Tightened between runners on jumping.
 
CHARLEISE – Raced three wide throughout. Jockey J McNeil was reprimanded for excessive use of the whip 16 times throughout the event. AR132(5)
 
LUVOIR – Over-raced in the early stages.
 
IMMORTAL LOVE – Bumped on the hind quarters and became unbalanced.
 
FORT WAYNE – Slow to begin. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
EAST ASIA (NZ) – Began awkwardly. Over-raced in the early stages.
 
SOKUDO – Slow to begin and shortly after was checked when tightened for room and lost ground.
 
Race 7: MAGIC MILLIONS NATIONAL CLASSIC 1600 metres
 
NETTOYER – Slow to begin.
 
ROCHA CLOCK – Raced three wide throughout. Jockey R King was fined $300 for use of the whip 7 times prior to the 100m, which is 2 more than permitted. AR132(7)(a)(ii).
 
IN GOOD HEALTH – Raced keen in the early stages.
 
PURRFECT DEAL – Began awkwardly and was bumped.
 
SHOP TIL I DROP (NZ) – Trainer T McEvoy advised the mare will be ridden further forward that its previous starts. Ridden accordingly.
 
Race 8: JAMES SQUIRE QUEENSLAND OAKS 2200 metre
 
DUAIS – Near the 400m shifted out to obtain clear running and bumped with CHARMS STAR (NZ).
 
BARGAIN (NZ) – Near the 150m was disappointed for a run and was steadied.
 
EASIFAR (NZ) – Blundered badly on jumping, almost dislodging its rider.
 
GRACE AND HARMONY (NZ) – Passing the winning post on the first occasion was steadied when placed in restricted room to the inside of BARGAIN which was taken in by EASIFAR. Jockey L Dittman (EASIFAR) was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
 
GOOD SOIZE – Was eased down in the straight. Rider R Maloney reported the filly to be making an abnormal respiratory noise and also concerns with the filly’s actions. A post-race veterinary examination revealed fluid in the horses airway. Trainer T Gollan advised that the filly would be sent for a spell.
 
CHARMS STAR (NZ) – Bumped with DUAIS near the 400m.
 
REBEL RAMA – Tightened on jumping and lost ground.
 
YATTON (NZ) – Raced wide in the early stages.
 
RURU – Approaching the 1200m shifted out to improved and took up and position in the lead near the 900m.
 
Race 9: NOVA 106.9 QUEENSLAND DAY STAKES 1200 metres
 
MASS DESTRUCTION – Bumped on a number of occasions with STREAKA rounding the home turn and in the home straight.
 
OUR PLAYBOY – Tightened between runners on jumping and lost ground.
 
STREAKA – Began awkwardly - Over-raced in the early and middle stages.
 
GEORGIE'S PRIDE – Rider J Byrne reported that the filly raced flat in today’s event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a small laceration inside its off hind cannon. Trainer D Forster advised that the filly will be sent for a spell.
 
ZEFTABROOK – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
