RACE 6: U&U RECRUITMENT QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD HANDICAP 1200 M

Correct weight was delayed to allow time for Stewards to consider an objection lodged by A. Jones, rider of the 3rd place getter SPANISH TREASURE, against the 2nd place getter STIKTODASCRYPT, ridden by J. Guthmann-Chester, alleging interference over the final 200m. After considering the objection, stewards found that whilst STIKTODASCRYPT did shift out approaching the 200m and cause SPANISH TREASURE to be severely checked, given the proximity of the incident in relation to the winning post along with the official margin of a length and a half between the two runners, they could not be comfortably satisfied that had the interference not occurred, SPANISH TRASURE would have finished in front of STIKTODASCRYPT. Stewards therefore dismissed the objection and subsequently declared correct weight on the official numbers.
