SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
Ipswich Turf Club Wednesday 30, April 2025 Race 10 - THE GAMBLING GREEK
Stewards finalised an inquiry into the performance of and betting drift of THE GAMBLING GREEK. After taking evidence from apprentice C. Vitler and co trainers T and M. Sears on the day, Stewards reviewed the betting of this event which revealed no matters of concern. Co-trainer M. Sears subsequently informed stewards that the gelding had performed poorly at its next start on the 14 May 2025 and in her opinion with the two disappointing performances, THE GAMBLING GREEK had likely come to the end of its preparation, therefore the decision was made to send the gelding for a spell. Stewards noted the comments of co-trainer M. Sears and took the matter no further.
GENERAL
Trainer D. Murphy was reprimanded pursuant to LR 68(1) for failing to scratch PRONTO PERCY from Race 3 and LIL REX from Race 7 by the prescribed time.
