SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
Stewards concluded an inquiry into the conduct of Jockey C. Graham and her actions regarding her mount ROCKY REWARD prior to the running of Race 1 at the Sunshine Coast on the 28th of September 2025. Jockey C. Graham was charged and pleaded guilty pursuant to AR 228(b), in that she acted improperly prior to the running of Race 1 when ROCKY REWARD had left the mounting yard and was then reluctant to proceed to the barriers, Jockey C. Graham, when dismounted, struck the gelding four times with her fist to its near side. Stewards, when considering the actions of Jockey C. Graham noted that whilst they were improper, the strikes were not overly forceful or aggressive and she was attempting to encourage the gelding to move forward. Stewards when considering penalty and precedence took into account Jockey C. Grahams unblemished record, status as a senior rider and remorsefulness. Stewards were also mindful of the community expectations in relation to racing. Jockey C. Grahams license to ride in races was suspended for a period of 7 days commencing midnight the 4th October and concluding midnight 11th October 2025. Jockey C. Graham was advised of her right of appeal.
