SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT

Eagle Farm 20 December 2025
Race 5: OUTWEIGHED – Trainer P. Barron advised that on return to the stables, the mare had blood samples taken which returned no significant findings. She added OUTWEIGHED was found to have heat stress on race day, which she has recovered well from, and as such she would be continuing on with OUTWEIGHED’s preparation.

Race 3: SOCIAL PARIAH - Trainer C. Cousins reported that the filly had pulled up shin sore and would now be spelled.

GENERAL

Stewards inspected the track and upgraded it to a Good 4 at 12:12pm.

As Jockey R. Maloney was ill, he was replaced as per the race day summary. Jockey R. Maloney was advised that a medical certificate would be required prior to riding again.

Trainer D. Forster was fined $100 under LR67(1) for the late declaration of D. Moor as the rider of SWANFELS in Race 3 and V. Duric as the rider of MEET GEORGE in Race 8.

Apprentice J. Williams was fined $100 pursuant to AR143(12)(b) for failing to provide his apprentice winning rides book.

Following the running of Race 4, Stewards interviewed Trainer B. Dias regarding the activities undertaken when saddling IN SOCIETY prior to this event. Stewards adjourned the inquiry to a time and date to be fixed.


RACE 1: RACECOURSE VILLAGE CLASS 3 PLATE 1000 M

YOYO YEEZY – Began awkwardly. Raced wide early. Laid in under pressure in the early stages of the home straight. Near the 300m, laid in and brushed SPIETHTACULAR

SPIETHTACULAR – Began awkwardly. Laid out under pressure in the early stages of the home straight. Near the 300m, laid out and brushed YOYO YEEZY and became unbalanced.

OOHLALOUVRE – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.

RACE 2: THE GIBSON MAIDEN PLATE 1200 M

JUNGLE WARRIOR - Connections advised of a change of tactics in that JUNGLE WARRIOR would attempt to secure cover from the wide barrier. Began awkwardly. Settled at the rear of the field with cover. After the running of this race, became fractious in the tie up stalls. A veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have superficial lacerations. Trainer A. Plumb was reprimanded pursuant to AR 166 and reminded of her obligations to ensure that each of her horses competing at a race meeting are attended to at all times while on course.

MR STORMY – Began awkwardly and bumped CLIODHNA MAEVE (NZ). Bumped near the 1000m. Raced greenly in the middle stages of the event. Approaching the 700m, commenced to race fiercely, shifted out contacting MONAKEED and continued to race ungenerously until entering the home straight. Trainer T. Sheehan was advised that MR STORMY would be required to officially trial to the satisfaction of stewards prior to being permitted to race again. Near the 350m improved onto the heels of EL CENTRO and put in an awkward stride. Near the 150m, shifted in when weakening and brushed the hindquarters of ZEAMAIZE and momentarily became unbalanced.

RALOS STAR – Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.

ROSA KISS – Hampered on jumping away. Improved onto heels near the 300m and was obliged to alter course. Steadied from the heels of MAGIC SNITZEL near the 200m.

VERBALIZE – Tightened for room near the 100m by EL CENTRO.

CLIODHNA MAEVE (NZ) – Became fractious leaving the mounting yard. Co-Trainer E. Vincent was advised that a warning would be placed on CLIODHNA MAEVE (NZ) for its pre-race behaviour. Bumped on jumping away. Shifted in under pressure over the final 200m.

EL CENTRO – Near the 350m shifted out when racing greenly. Near the 100m, whilst laying in shifted in and away from ZEAMAIZE and as a result tightened the racing room of VERBALIZE.

MONAKEED– Raced wide. When asked to comment on the performance of MONAKEED, Jockey B. Thompson reported that after being caught wide, the mare failed to respond to his riding efforts over the concluding stages and proved disappointing.

SPEEGLE – Underwent a pre-race veterinary inspection and was cleared to race. Raced wide.

MAGIC SNITZEL– Jockey K. Wilson-Taylor reported at scale that his mount raced greenly throughout. Steadied near the 900m when MONAKEED shifted in when not fully clear to do so. Jockey B. Thompson the rider of MONAKEED was reprimanded pursuant to AR 131(a) for careless riding. Raced wide in the early and middle stages. Leaving the 400m, laid in when racing greenly and had to be steadied from the heels of MONAKEED, which shifted out marginally when placed under pressure. Continued to race greenly when placed under pressure in the home straight. Carried in approaching the 100m by CLIODHNA MAEVE (NZ). Jockey B. Lerena the rider of CLIODHNA MAEVE (NZ) was advised to exercise greater care and stop and straighten his mounts in similar circumstances. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.


RACE 3: SKY RACING QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD MAIDEN PLATE 1400 M

ARTISTIC ENDEAVOUR – Raced greenly under pressure over the concluding stages.

ASTERN EFFORT – Began awkwardly and bumped KATIE AINE. Over-raced in the early stages.

CERTIFY (NZ) – Raced wide throughout. When asked to comment on the performance of CERTIFY (NZ), Jockey M. Rodd reported that after being caught three wide throughout he was not overly disappointed with the colts’ finishing efforts. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

KOHLER KID - Near the 350m, bumped with KUIA MA and became unbalanced.

KUIA MA - Near the 350m, bumped with KOHLER KID and became unbalanced. Near the 250m, laid out under pressure before being corrected by its rider.

SPEED KING – Began awkwardly. Over-raced in the early stages and proved difficult to settle. Raced wide from the 800m. When asked to comment on the performance of SPEED KING, Jockey K. Wilson-Taylor reported that his mount over-raced for the majority of the event, which in his opinion had a detrimental effect on the gelding’s finishing efforts. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

KATIE AINE – Began awkwardly and bumped ASTERN EFFORT.

STRIKE ME PINK – Began very awkwardly and lost ground. Near the 150m was obliged to alter course and shift out to improve into clear running.

SWANFELS – Began awkwardly and lost ground.


RACE 4: BECOME A BRC MEMBER CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1600 M

Prior to the declaration of correct weight, Stewards reviewed the start of this event. Stewards determined that IN SOCIETY became fractious as the start was effected and reared on its own accord.

HOT MAJESTY - Began awkwardly. Near the 350m was obliged to shift in to secure clear running.



AUTUMNGIRL - Bumped shortly after the start. Over-raced in the middle stages. Near the 300m was obliged to shift out after improving onto the heels of HERALD ANGEL. Near the 250m, momentarily steadied when HERALD ANGEL shifted out whilst racing greenly.

SPIRIT OF NURAI – Bumped on jumping away. Over-raced in the middle stages. Raced 3 wide from the 1100m. Following this event Jockey D. Moor reported that after losing his helmet cover in the early stages of the event, his goggles became displaced near the 1300m and as a result of this he elected to shift wider on the track to avoid the surface kick back which was affecting his vision.

IN SOCIETY – Reared as the start was effected and lost considerable ground. Trainer B. Dais was advised that a warning would be placed on the mare in relation to its barrier manners.

TICKLE MY TOSEN – Laid out under pressure in the home straight.

HERALD ANGEL - Began awkwardly and bumped SPIRIT OF NURAI. Steadied near the 1200m when WAR KING shifted in before being corrected by its rider. Jockey M. Rodd the rider of WAR KING was reprimanded pursuant to AR 131(a) for careless riding. Raced greenly under pressure in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed clinical signs of the thumps and a slow recovery and subsequently was treated by the official race day veterinarian.

HAMILTON BROWN – Near the 350m momentarily steadied when HOT MAJESTY shifted in to improve. Jockey B. Thompson the rider of HOT MAJESTY was advised to exercise greater care when shifting ground in similar circumstances.


RACE 5: GIRLS DAY OUT ON SALE SOON BENCHMARK 70 HANDICAP 1600 M

ALL'S FAIR - Apprentice J. Williams reported at scale that in his opinion, ALL’S FAIR may not have appreciated today’s racing conditions and had concerns with its action over the concluding stages. Trainer B. Hull advised Stewards that he would report back any significant findings in the subsequent days.

ARIZONA DREAMING – Hampered on jumping away.

AKKADIAN EMPEROR (IRE) – Began awkwardly and was then hampered shortly after the start. Apprentice C. Sutherland reported that as AKKADIAN EMPEROR (IRE) was first up, his instructions were to have the gelding settle with cover. He further added that he was not entirely disappointed with the finishing efforts of AKKADIAN EMPEROR (IRE) however, in his opinion the race wasn’t run to suit the gelding and AKKADIAN EMPEROR (IRE) may appreciate a step up in distance.

GUARDED OPTIMIST (NZ) – Began awkwardly.

FOUR ACE – Slow to begin.

EXPECTANT – Began awkwardly and shifted out. Raced wide throughout. Approaching the 100m, was carried inwards by SPECIAL ARTIST.

SMART AS SMART – Held up approaching the home turn.

BELIEVE SO – Began awkwardly. Approaching the 1200m, raced keenly when being restrained to secure cover. Lost its off-hind plate.

VOS SAVANT – Near the 1200m, raced in restricted room and had to be steadied and lost its rightful running when SANCTUARY STORM became awkwardly placed at the heels of ALL’S FAIR, which shifted in when not fully clear to do so. Apprentice J. Williams the rider of ALL’S FAIR in the presence of Apprentice Mentor S. Scriven, pleaded guilty and was charged pursuant to AR 131(a) for careless riding, the particulars being that at a point near the 1200m, whilst steadying, he permitted his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of SANCTUARY STORM (D. Moor), crowding that runner inwards onto VOS SAVANT (V. Duric) causing the rider of VOS SAVANT to take hold of his mount and lose his rightful running. Apprentice J. Williams’ license to ride in races was suspended for a period of 10 days commencing midnight 9th January and concluding midnight 19th January 2026. Apprentice J. Williams was advised of his right of appeal. Over-raced from the 800m until the 600m. Held up approaching the home turn. Laid out approaching the 100m before being corrected by its rider. Laid in over the concluding stages.

SANCTUARY STORM – Began awkwardly and shifted in. Raced in restricted room near the 1200m and was carried inwards.

SPECIAL ARTIST – Began awkwardly and shifted out. Approaching the 1200m, over-raced for a short distance. Laid in when placed under pressure approaching the 100m.


Race 6: XXXX GOLD OPEN HANDICAP 1000 M

WANDA ROX – Began awkwardly. Shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages. Apprentice J. Williams was fined $300 pursuant to AR132(7)(a)(i) for using his whip in consecutive strides prior to the 100m.

MAXIMUM OUTPUT – Laid in approaching the 100m before being corrected by its rider.

NED'S GULLY - Raced wide. Laid in rounding the home turn before being steadied from the heels of TECTONIC PLATE which was carried out slightly by WANDA ROX.

TECTONIC PLATE – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after resuming from an extended spell and was cleared to start. Raced wide. Rounding the home turn was carried wider when WANDA ROX shifted out. Apprentice J. Williams was advised to exercise greater care when shifting ground in similar circumstances.

KRAKARIB – Began very awkwardly causing its rider to become unbalanced and lost ground. Held up approaching the home turn. Over-raced in the middle stages. Laid out over the final 75m.

RAZORS - Slightly hampered approaching the 100m when MAXIMUM OUTPUT shifted in.

SMILING ZAC (NZ) – Began awkwardly. Near the 850m, momentarily raced in restricted room and had to be eased. Held up approaching the home turn.


RACE 7: MAGIC MILLIONS CARNIVAL BENCHMARK 70 HANDICAP 1200 M

UNSTOPABULL – Restrained from the wide barrier at the start to obtain a position closer to the rail. Over-raced in the middle stages. Improved onto heels approaching the winning post and as a result was unable to be fully tested.

BRAVELY – Began awkwardly. Steadied when awkwardly placed on heels near the 1000m. Had difficulty securing clear running approaching the 200m.

FLYING AURELIUS – Began awkwardly. Approaching the 900m, raced in restricted room and was momentarily inconvenienced when HEESEN shifted in when not fully clear to do so. Apprentice J. Franklin the rider of HEESEN was advised to exercise greater care when shifting ground in similar circumstances. Over-raced in the early and middle stages.

FAIRWAY CHOICE - Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after resuming from an extended spell and was cleared to start. Began awkwardly and lost ground.

LA SOEUR – Jockey R. Dolan reported that his mount commenced to weaken from the 300m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

RACE 8: LADBROKES ODDS SURGE CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1200 M

SIMPLY FUN – Began awkwardly. Hampered near the 1000m when awkwardly placed on the heels of MELDUBIOUS. Raced wide.

MELDUBIOUS – Bumped with WHISPERING ROGUE on jumping. Carried wider near the 1000m when COL BURN laid out. Raced wide.

FIREFORCE – Raced wide.

WHISPERING ROGUE - Bumped with MELDUBIOUS on jumping. Approaching the 350m, was bumped by MEET GEORGE, which shifted out under riding. Jockey V. Duric the rider of MEET GEORGE was reprimanded pursuant to AR 131(a) for careless riding.

KILONOVA – Connections advised of a change of tactics in that KILONOVA would attempt to settle further back with cover if circumstances permit. Ridden accordingly. Over-raced and improved onto heels near the 800m and had to be steadied.

MEET GEORGE – When asked to comment on the performance of MEET GEORGE, Jockey V. Duric stated that in his opinion the gelding may appreciate tracks with more give in them and proved disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery. Trainer D. Forster advised Stewards that following MEET GEORGE’s disappointing performance today, her intention is to remove the blinkers and further noted that its form at Eagle Farm has been disappointing and would look to place the gelding at other venues.

COL BURN – Made the turn approaching the 1000m awkwardly and shifted out. Near the 250m, when racing greenly shifted in and away from MEET GEORGE and continued to race greenly when placed under pressure for the remainder of the event. Trainer D. Vandyke was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding in relation to its racing manners. Jockey B. Thompson reported at scale that his mount raced greenly when placed under pressure and had a tendency to shift away from other runners.

SUM INVICTUS – Bumped on jumping away and as a result, turned its head and which may have been an attempt to savage COL BURN. Trainer K. Goldman was advised that a warning would now be placed on the SUM INVICTUS. Held up rounding the home turn.

HEADSTRONG – Slow to begin.

MELTDOWN – Began awkwardly and was bumped. Approaching the 250m, bumped on the hindquarters by PEE BEE NOIR and became unbalanced.

PEE BEE NOIR - Held up rounding the home turn. Improved onto heels approaching the 400m and had to be steadied. Approaching the 250m, when improving into a run between MELTDOWN and COL BURN, had to be checked when COL BURN shifted in when racing greenly. Approaching the 100m, steadied and was obliged to shift inwards when crowded for room by COL BURN, which shifted in when racing greenly.
