1st – ROSE OF CLARE 2nd – GENERAL BEEJAY 3rd – CRAIGLEA FOCUS 4th – PERFECT RAINBOW

MUCH ABOUT – Began awkwardly.

ROSE OF CLARE – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

JOKES ASEIDE – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

MANALUTE – Lost ground when crowded between runners soon after the start.

PERFECT RAINBOW – Inconvenienced when crowded between runners soon after the start.


Race 2: David Collins Memorial Past Members Memorial Bracelet 1020 metres:
1st – MIATA 2nd – EREBUS 3rd – DAZZLE ON 4th – MR BULISTA

PERFECT KNOWLEDGE – Slowly into stride. Forced wider by another runner at the home turn. Jockey App. B Swaffer reported that the gelding was inclined to race ungenerously throughout.

NINETYNINE PERCENT – Raced wide at the home turn forcing another runner wider.


Race 3: Oasis Roadhouse & Cannindah Resources QTIS Maiden Plate 1220 metres:
1st – MANDALONG PASS 2nd – IZZY’S KEEPER 3rd – GEORGIE PORGIE 4th – OLD RED

ZEDAHEEL – Fractious in the barriers. Bumped with another runner on jumping.

IZZY’S KEEPER – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Inconvenienced by another runner in the home straight.

FAVOURED ONE – Slowly into stride. Jockey S Pawsey reported that the gelding was inclined to race ungenerously throughout.

MANDALONG PASS – Inclined to race greenly down the running, inconveniencing another runner. Jockey D Green was reminded of his responsibility to stop riding and straighten his mount in these circumstances.




Race 4: Aluminium Norweld – Cairns Class 2 Handicap 1220 metres:
1st – DEE DOUBLEYOU 2nd – LADY BULLMORE 3rd – KAYAN 4th – TOP SHELF SHUFFLE

LADY BULLMORE – Fractious in the barriers. Shifted out slightly at the home turn, bumping with another runner.

DEE DOUBLEYOU – Bumped with another runner at the home turn.


Race 5: Bushmans Horsefloats Class B Handicap 1370 metres:
1st – RED BOHEMIA 2nd – ROUND THE CORNER 3rd – DADON 4th – VON MOGLICH

EFFERVESCENT – Jumped awkwardly losing ground at the start.

EPIC CAMEL – Jumped out at the start, crowding another runner.

GABONIA – Lost ground at the start when crowded by another runner.

DADON - Shifted in under pressure near the home turn inconveniencing another runner. Jockey App. N Yadi was reminded of his responsibility to keep his mount straight in these circumstances.

RED BOHEMIA – Slightly inconvenienced by a tiring runner near the home turn.


Race 6: Doran Diggers/SMP Cons Pty Ltd/Doran Electrics Einasleigh Cup Open Handicap 1620 metres:
1st – JUST HUSTLED 2nd – PRESS PLAY 3rd – KING MAGNUSSON 4th – ZATSACAT

KING MAGNUSSON – Fractious in the barriers.

FLAG FAVOURITE – Slowly into stride. A post- race veterinary examination revealed slight lameness in the mare’s off hind fetlock.

LIKEFATHERLIKESON – Lost ground at the start when crowded between runners. Jockey K Rockett reported that the gelding had resented the kickback from other runners and, as a result, had raced ungenerously throughout.
