Race 1: Bendigo Bank Ravenshoe-Gulf Country Community Bank Benchmark 45 Handicap 1020 metres:

PERFECT RAINBOW – Bumped shortly after the start.
SNITZEL ROSE – Bumped shortly after the start.
NINETYNINE PERCENT – Bumped at the start.
THE HAWK ETERNAL – Bumped at the start.
Race 2: Bushmans Horse Floats & Trailers Benchmark 65 Handicap 1220 metres:
1st – SPIRITED SAINT 2nd – SCHNELLES PFERD 3rd – DANE WILL DO 4th – MISHANI PERSUADER
NEWSPAPER was a late scratching at 1.30pm on veterinary advice. When correct weight was declared it was ordered that all bets placed on NEWSPAPER be refunded in full and all other successful bets made on the race prior to 1.30pm be subject to the following deductions of 19c win and 18c place on the face value of the betting ticket.
Trainer Ms C Lindgren was advised a veterinary certificate of fitness would be required prior to the gelding again starting in a race.
SPIRITED SAINT – Slowly away.
SCHNELLES PFERD – Raced wide in the early stages.
Race 3: Norweld Cairns QTIS Maiden Plate 1220 metres:
1st – YIFAN 2nd – HONEST FRIEND 3rd – RED SHAWL 4th – DUNNYS STAR
Stewards allowed Apprentice N Nelson to substitute Jockey M Cullen as the rider of YIFAN when no other senior rider was available.
ROYAL COUPE – Wide throughout.
DAZZLING PRIDE – Crowded shortly after the start. Shifted out under pressure rounding the home turn inconveniencing another runner. Jockey W D’Avila was reminded of his obligations to stop riding and straighten sooner than he did on this occasion.
UNI – Rounding the home turn became awkward on heels when another runner shifted out under pressure.
Race 4: Oasis Roadhouse-Lynd Junction David Collins Past Members Memorial Class B Handicap 1370 metres:
1st – WANTABETHEONE 2nd – LATEST EDITION 3rd – PROUD WARRIOR 4th – NO IFS OR BUTS
OLLIE TROLLEY and SILVER STAR were late scratchings at 3.05pm on veterinary advice after becoming cast in the barriers. When correct weight was declared it was ordered that all bets placed on OLLIE TROLLEY and SILVER STAR be refunded in full and all other successful bets made on the race prior to 3.05pm be subject to the following deductions of 21c win and 26c place on the face value of the betting ticket.
Trainer Mr G Baker was advised a further barrier certificate for OLLIE TROLLEY would be required prior to the gelding again starting in a race.
Race 5: Great Northern Brewing Co. Einasleigh Cup Open Handicap 1620 metres:
1st – PRESS PLAY 2nd – CASTLE EXPRESS 3rd – BO ROSSA 4th – ALDREN
JAMALKA – Upon returning to scale Jockey S Wilson advised Stewards his mount never travelled comfortably throughout the event and was reluctant to stretch out due to the kickback.
