GENERAL
 
Race 5: The start of this Race was delayed by 30 minutes due to Stewards questioning Trainer Phillip Bourke the trainer of HELLUVA HOFFA in relation to items found in his Race day bag prior to entering the saddling closure. HELLUVA HOFFA underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Following the race underwent a post-race swab and veterinary inspection. Trainer Phillip Bourke was advised that the inquiry was adjourned to a time and date to be fixed.  
 
 
Race 1: HAPPY BIRTHDAY LENNY CUMMINGS QTIS Maiden Plate (1000 METRES)
 
NIKSICKO: raced wide throughout.
 
MOVING DAY: raced greenly down the home straight and run out under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
WRITTEN TREATY: Slow to begin and steadied off heels shortly after the start. Failed to show any speed in the early and middle stages.
 
FAIRYBOWER FLYER: Declared a late scratching at 12:10pm due to no suitable rider being available to make the weight.
 
SAHARA SALLY: Pulled up sore in the offside front leg as result was treated by the veterinary surgeon with pain relief following the race. Trainer John O’Sing was advised he must produce a veterinary certificate of soundness before racing again.
 
BEFORE SUNRISE: Declared a late scratching at 12:45pm due to no suitable rider available to make the weight. As some betting had commenced on the race, stewards requested all monies invested on BEFORE SUNRISE to be refunded and declared deductions of 10c the win and 10c the place on all bets placed before 12:45pm.
 
 
Race 2: STUDIO SIXTY TWO BENCHMARK 50 Handicap (1100 METRES)
 
CIRCUIT JUDGE: raced three wide throughout and shifted out under pressure in the straight.
 
DISCO DOUGIE: slow into stride.
 
ZORRO FEMININO: slow into stride and raced wide throughout.
 
BLAZING ASH: jumped in at the start bumping another runner.
 
RURAL REBEL: fractious prior to the start.
 
ALL NATIVE: fractious prior to the start and raced extremely wide from the 600 metres until the finish.
 
 
Race 3: 2021 BATTLE OF THE BUSH EMERALD QUALIFIER OPEN Plate (1200 METRES)
 
BOLLENTE: over raced in the early stages.
 
SHIGERU MAHOGANY: began awkwardly.
 
HAZAR: raced wide throughout.
 
NATIVE BEE: was slow into stride.
 
 
Race 4: HARRY HOOPER 21ST BIRTHDAY RACE RATINGS BAND 0 - 55 Handicap (SPONSORED BY EMERALD TAXIS) (1615 METRES)
 
RUFFIN’ IT: shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
TAKEN ON CHANCE: slow into stride and over raced in the early stages.
 
MISHANI FORTUNE: Jockey Brooke Richardson replaced Elyse Beak as the rider due to Elyse Beak being unable to make the weight. Jockey Beak was issued a reprimand for not making the weight. Slow into stride and rider reported that the saddle slipped shortly after the start placing her at a disadvantage throughout the race.
 
MISHANI PATRIOT: raced wide from the 700 metres until the finish.
 
 
Race 5: EMERALD SERVICE CENTRE EMERALD CUP OPEN Handicap (1615 METRES)
 
 
HELLUVA HOFFA: slow into stride and commenced to drop out leaving the 500 metres. Finished the race well back, underwent a post-race veterinary inspection and no injuries were found.
