RACE 1: HAIL THE NEW FENCE MAIDEN PLATE 800 M

STRAWBERRY LADY A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

THE QUEEN OF TIME Slow to begin. Hung out throughout the event and trainer G Cornish was advised that a warning would be placed on the mare.

I’LLTELLYOUI’MIN Trainer W O’Connell was reprimanded pursuant to AR106(2) for presenting I’LLTELLYOUI’MIN with the incorrect gear. Prior to the running of race 1, jockey J Woodhouse advised stewards that he would not be able to make the allocated weight on I’LLTELLYOUI’MIN and was replaced by jockey A Spinks. Jockey J Woodhouse pleaded guilty to a charge and fined the sum of $100 pursuant to AR190(3) in that he accepted a ride when overweight, resulting in him having to be replaced on I’LLTELLYOUI’MIN.

KELBRELYN Stewards declared KELBRELYN a late scratching at 12:16pm due to transport difficulties.


RACE 2: RAY WHITE ESK/TOOGOOLAWAH BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 800 M

VOIGNER Began awkwardly and as a result was slow to begin. Inclined to lay in, in the straight.

BRAIDWOOD PRINCE Slow to begin.

MHASAHN Inclined to hang in, in the early stages of the event.

STOP THE ROT Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after not having started for an extended period of time and was cleared to start.

PREVARICATE Slow to begin. Held up on the heels of BRAIDWOOD PRINCE rounding the home turn.


RACE 3: BURNETT TO THE BEACH SERIES – HEAT – BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1200 M

Start was this event was delayed approximately 4 minutes due to the resaddle on ROCKY BLONDE.

PROPONENT Bumped with CRAIGLEA LA VIE on jumping. Momentarily stopped riding over the concluding stages when I’M A CHOCOHOLIC shifted out under pressure.

CRAIGLEA LA VIE Bumped with PROPONENT on jumping. Over raced in the early and middle stages of the event and was inclined to hang out approaching the 800m.

SMACKEROONY Bumped with I’M A CHOCOHOLIC on jumping.

ROCKY BLONDE Underwent a resaddle on arrival to the barriers.

I’M A CHOCOHOLIC Bumped with SMACKEROONY on jumping. Over raced in the early and middle stages of the event. Laid out under pressure over the concluding stages.


RACE 4: ESK CARAVAN PARK QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1460 M

Start of this event was delayed approximately 2 minutes due to OK ONE MORE undergoing a veterinary examination at the barriers.

IN AND AWAY Taken out onto MAGIC THEY SAY shortly after the start.

O’EXPLOSIVE Laid in over the concluding stages.

ROIGARD Momentarily steadied shortly after the start when DON’T STOP ME NOW shifted out onto IN AND AWAY, which was taken out onto MAGIC THEY SAY.

TRIBESMAN Inclined to lay out rounding the first turn. Rider reported that she felt TRIBESMAN may have attempted to jump the crossing near the 800m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a poor post-race recovery.

DON’T STOP ME NOW Shifted out onto IN AND AWAY shortly after the start.

MAGIC THEY SAY Taken out onto ROIGARD when IN AND AWAY was taken out shortly after the start.

OK ONE MORE Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination at the barriers and was fit to start.


RACE 5: SOMERSET REGIONAL COUNCIL QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1460 M

ANYONE FOR TEA Began awkwardly and got its head up when being restrained. Shortly after the start shifted in onto the heels of DUKE OF BANTRY. Approaching the 1200m, shifted out onto ILEGITIMO which had to be momentarily steadied. Rider reported that the mare blundered at the crossing near the 800m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Trainer S Croxford was advised that ANYONE FOR TEA would be required to trial to the satisfaction of stewards prior to accepting for a future race.

MARGOT’S STAR Slow to begin.


RACE 6: BACK HERE ON MARCH 7TH BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1750 M

KNEZE Disappointed for a run near the 200m and was obliged to shift out across the heels of HELL OF A PRINCE.

SET ABLAZE Slow to begin.

ORCA Made the crossing near the 1400m awkwardly. Rider reported that the gelding was inclined to hang in throughout the event and he felt ORCA proved disappointing in today’s event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

FRIJOLES Over raced in the early stages of the event.

HELL OF A PRINCE Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after HELL OF A PRINCE had raced on Tuesday the 4th November at the Sunshine Coast.

BRIEF SOJOURN Raced wide until approaching the 1000m.

HE’S VIRAL (NZ) Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after HE’S VIRAL (NZ) had raced on Tuesday the 4th November at Toowoomba.
