PROPERLEIGH – Fractious in the tie-up stalls prior to entering the mounting yard. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to race. PROPERLEIGH was declared a late scratching at 1:48pm after the filly reared behind the barriers dislodging apprentice rider Samantha Pointon, who sustained a left shoulder injury. Apprentice Rider Pointon was attended to by on-track medical staff and transported to hospital for further observations. CANDLELIT – Raced three-wide without cover throughout. Rider Aidan Holt reported at scale that his mount hung in throughout and elected not to persevere with the gelding over the concluding stages after his mount began to concede ground.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality.

DEAL AN ACE – Graham Kliese replaced Samantha Pointon.
