Race 1: AGRICULTURAL REQUIREMENTS GATTON QTIS 3YO MAIDEN H’CAP – 860M
 
LYTAFYRE – Inconvenienced by MEET MR TAYLOR whilst racing 3 wide without cover near the 500m.
 
EXCEED TO WIN – Struck the running rail near the 300m, and became unbalanced.
 
MI INSTINCT – Raced 3 wide with cover throughout.
 
FIRST WITNESS – Steadied when crowded for room shortly after the start.
 
Race 2: GATTON VIEW HOTEL FILLIES AND MARES MAIDEN H’CAP – 1100M
 
DE VEGA PEACH – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
EXCRUCIATE – Steadied near the 900m when tightened for room by HUMP DE DUMP (L. Tilley) which shifted in when not completely clear. Jockey L. Tilley was reprimanded.
 
FIAT CURRENCY – Began awkwardly and dipped.
 
SOLITARY ROSE – Raced 4 wide without cover until the 600m. Hung in in the home straight.
 
HUMP DE BUMP – Restrained from heels near the 700m.
 
EDENANNIE – Hampered near the 700m, and again near the 600m, when MYSTICAL WISP shifted out. Stumbled on straightening.
 
Race 3: LOCKYER VALLEY RESIDENTIAL VILLAGE COLTS, GELDINGS & ENTIRES MAIDEN H’CAP – 1100M
 
ANIMAL INSTINCT – Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
GOOLBURRA GUY – Checked when crowded for room at the start.
 
KITTYSON – Severely checked shortly after the start when crowded for room between a shift from runners on either side.
 
THE TRUMP TRAIN – Slow into stride. Brushed the running rail for some distance whilst laying in after passing the 400m.
 
NO SHENANIGANS – Bumped heavily near the 1000m.
 
SPRING AMICI – Raced 4 wide without cover throughout.
 
MY BLUE THUNDER – Raced 5 wide without cover throughout.
 
Following light showers, the track was downgraded from a Soft 5 to a Soft 6 at 1.40pm after the running of this race.
 
Race 4: GRANTHAM PREMIUM FARM WORKERS RESORT BENCHMARK 60 H’CAP – 2000M
 
POOLENZO – Bled both nostrils. Stable representative for Trainer Mr. M. Nolan was advised that the horse will be ineligible to race for 3 months, and prior to resuming racing must perform satisfactorily in a 1000m gallop in the presence of a Steward.
 
QABLA – Checked whilst overracing near the 1100m, and then shifted out and raced wide 3 wide for the remainder.
 
INVERARAY – Checked from heels whilst overracing badly approaching the finishing post on the first occasion. Steadied from heels whilst overracing near the 1100m. Hung in from the 600m.
 
INFINITE REIGN – After being boxed, the gelding broke through the front of the barriers, was examined by the veterinary surgeon and passed fit to start. Slow to begin.
 
SHE SALUTES – Raced extremely wide in the early stages and, as a result, was permitted to stride forward to a position outside the leader.
 
WAKE UP VICTA – Lost the near fore plate in running.
 
WATCHED – Checked between runners, which shifted ground from either side, after passing the finishing post on the first occasion.
 
The track was further downgraded from a Soft 6 to a Soft 7 at 2.30pm.
 
Race 5: MCNEIL FARMS GATTON CLASS 1 H’CAP – 1100M
 
MAN IN MOTION – Hung in near the 200m, and was then inconvenienced and taken in further by CAPTAIN THE WORLD (T. Brooker), which shifted in abruptly. Jockey T. Brooker was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances in the future.
 
CAPO DI TUTTI – Began awkwardly, and then shifted in abruptly. Hung out rounding the home turn and in the home straight.
 
CAPTAIN THE WORLD – A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the gelding had blood in its mouth.
 
HERE’S TO LUXURY – Began awkwardly, and was bumped shortly after the start.
 
ATOMIC MISSILE – Checked when crowded for room on jumping away.
 
Race 6: ROCK TRADE INDUSTRIES HELIDON CLASS 1 H’CAP – 1600M
 
LI’L RODGE – Held up from the 400m until approaching the 250m.
 
MONEY TALK – Bumped on jumping away.
 
BADGE OF GAMENESS – Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
COUNTRY LUCK – Checked at the winning post when crowded for room between IVY’S DREAM (N. Day), which shifted out slightly, and MONEY TALK (K. Yoshida) which was being ridden along whilst hanging. Jockey K. Yoshida was severely reprimanded.
 
PEXBURY AVENUE – Bumped on jumping away.
 
KIJITO – Began awkwardly and shifted out. Raced 4 wide in the early stages before obtaining cover in a 3 wide position passing the 800m.
 
ROCKING OSSIE – Began awkwardly.
 
IVY’S DREAM – Began awkwardly and shifted out. Laid out slightly over the final 50m under riding.
 
SHEZA GOOD GIRL – Raced wide after passing the 600m.
 
Race 7: LOCKYER VALLEY REGIONAL COUNCIL CUP DAY SEPT 15 BENCHMARK 60 H’CAP – 1400M
 
TURKANA – Checked from the heels of ROCKY NUGGET near the 1200m, when that runner shifted out to relieve pressure to runners to its inside. Inconvenienced slightly near the 1000m. Laid in from the 600m until straightening.
 
WOW FACTOR – Forced very wide on the track rounding the first turn.
 
GET ON – Slow into stride.
 
GRANDIOSO – Slow into stride.
 
CASINO EVIL – Forced very wide on the track rounding the first turn.
 
CHAMPAGNE ROCK – Jockey B. Ainsworth was fined $200 for using her whip on more than 5 occasions prior to the 100m.
