DON'T DISS AROUND – Slow to begin. Stewards questioned N Fazackerley regarding his riding from approaching the 500m when there appeared to be opportunity to shift wider and follow CALGARY KING rather than improve to the inside of that runner, which resulted in DON’T DISS AROUND being held up for clear running. Jockey Fazackerley stated that he did not wish to be caught wide when rounding the home turn and was of the view that he would obtain clear running between the leaders, however after viewing the patrol was of the view he had erred in electing to improve to the inside of CALGARY KING at that point of the race. Stewards agreed that Jockey Fazackerley had made an error in judgement at this point however were not of the view that this error was so unreasonable as to be culpable under the rules and took no further action. Held up for clear running from the 400m, until being disappointed for a run between ANNAKURI and XERRI near the 250m, clipping the heels of XERRI, blundering, and losing ground.
