Race 1: BATTEN DISEASE AWARENESS MAIDEN PLATE 2000M
 
I'M THAT GUY (NZ)  – Near the 500m, steadied when racing in restricted room between SUMMER READY and HONFLEUR (T. Brooker) which shifted out. Jockey T. Brooker was advised to exercise greater care in similar circumstances.
 
MOR KOMPASHYN – Raced wide in the early stages. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
POSEIDON'S BLUFF – Began awkwardly. Bumped and taken wider near the 1200m and raced wide from that point onwards.  Raced greenly leaving the 700m and shifted out. Raced greenly under pressure from the 400m.
 
WHISKEY GLASSES – Approaching the winning post on the first occasion, jumped a shadow, shifted out and became unbalanced.
 
LILICA EBET – Raced keenly in the middle stages. Near the 1200m, shifted out and bumped POSEIDON'S BLUFF. Raced wide from the 800m. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
SUMMER READY – Jockey D. Smith reported that his mount was inclined to hang out.
 
POLLY PRINCESS – Approaching the winning post, jumped a shadow, shifted out and became unbalanced.
 
Race 2: BARRIER REEF POOLS BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 860M

ENUFF PILLS – Shifted in shortly after the start. Shifted out under pressure leaving the 100m. Approaching the winning post, jumped a shadow and became unbalanced.
 
TOKYO SINS– Shortly after the start, raced in restricted room and was steadied.
 
RAN NA LADY– Laid out near the 700m. Laid out rounding the home turn.
 
KING OF THE JUNGLE – Shortly after the start, steadied from the heels of ENUFF PILLS which shifted in and made contact with PALAWA KANI. Near the 700m, steadied from the heels of BOONAH FLASHER (L. Tilley) which shifted in when not fully clear. Jockey L. Tilley was advised to exercise greater care in similar circumstances. Commenced to race keenly from leaving the 700m. Approaching the 400m, was taken wider by PALAWA KANI and bumped between that runner and DAWYN’S CHOICE.
 
PALAWA KANI – Shortly after the start, bumped by KING OF THE JUNGLE and became unbalanced. Over raced in the early and middle stages. Near the 400m, shifted out and made contact with KING OF THE JUNGLE. Shifted in approaching the winning post. When asked to comment on the seemingly improved performance trainer S. Pomerenke advised the mare which was first up from a spell, races well fresh and with the claim, she had expected a forward showing in today’s event.
 
DAWYN'S CHOICE – Raced wide without cover throughout. Near the 400m, was contacted by KING OF THE JUNGLE.
 
CHARMED PASSAGE (NZ) – Leaving the 600m, improved onto the heels of ONE ‘N’ ONLY and was steadied. Approaching the winning post, raced in restricted room to the inside of PALAWA KANI which shifted in and went to the line without being fully tested.
 
MISHANI DEVINE – Slow to begin.
 
BOONAH FLASHER – Raced wide throughout.
 
Race 3: LADBROKES FORM GENIUS MAIDEN HANDICAP 1100M
 
Correct weight was delayed allowing J. Zielke, Trainer of the 4th placed UNEGA WAHY’A to view the Stewards patrol footage of the home straight. After viewing the footage, he elected not to proceed with an objection, and correct weight was declared.

UP THE CREEK (NZ) – Began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped with KOBE ASCOT. Jockey T. Brooker reported her mount raced greenly and in her opinion wasn’t suited to the tight turning track.
 
UNEGA WAHY'A – Laid in under pressure in the home straight. Passing the winning post, was checked when tightened for room when WANT TO BE PROUD shifted out abruptly despite the efforts of its rider.
 
CALL OUT – Laid out rounding the home turn. Shifted out under pressure over the final 100m.
 
SOUTHAMPTON NICCO – Began awkwardly and shifted in.
 
DUCK OUT– Raced keenly in the early stages. Raced wide for the majority.
 
SHAMROCK'S SECRET – Near the 500m, improved onto heels and had to be steadied. Had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the home straight.
 
SIMPLY SMASHING – Slow into stride and was taken in by SAVVA shortly after the start.
 
PRINCESS SHANGHAI – As Apprentice B. Wheeler was overweight, he was replaced as the rider of the mare by Jockey A. Allen. Apprentice B. Wheeler was fined $300 pursuant to AR190(3) for accepting a ride when overweight. Hung out in the early stages whilst racing keenly. Jockey A. Allen reported his mount raced ungenerously throughout. Trainer P. Robl was advised a warning would be placed on the mare’s racing manners.
 
KOBE ASCOT – Began awkwardly and was bumped shortly thereafter. Raced wide for the majority. Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
PUMICESTONE ROAD – A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have bled from one nostril for the first time. Trainer J. Holcombe was advised that PUMICESTONE ROAD would be required to gallop 1000m in the presence of a Steward pursuant to AR 79(8) prior to resuming racing.
 
MAGICAL EYE – Near the 500m, improved onto heels and had to be steadied.
 
Race 4: TICKETS ON SALE FOR THE 2025 GATTON CUP CALCUTTA 27 JUNE BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 1100M
 
JACKA STANDS ALONE– Shifted in at the start and bumped DECRYPT. Near the 700m, raced in restricted room and was awkward for a number of strides to the inside of MACHINE HEAD. Stewards when considering this incident, noted that whilst MACHINE HEAD was racing neatly to the outside of JACKA STANDS ALONE at that point, were of the view that JACKA STANDS ALONE laid out which contributed to the incident. Inclined to lay out rounding the home turn and when under pressure in the home straight. When asked to comment on the performance, apprentice C. Lowe advised that after becoming awkward for a number of strides in the middle stages, the gelding didn’t race comfortably from that point onwards and was disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have a slow recovery and to be coughing on multiple occasions. Trainer P. Webster was advised that the gelding would require a veterinary clearance prior to next racing.
 
SEA COMMITS – Bumped on jumping. Raced wide for the majority.
 
LION'S PRIDE – Improved close to heels over the concluding stages and wasn’t fully tested to the line.
 
DECRYPT – Bumped at the start by JACKA STANDS ALONE. 
 
HARD TO DISMISS – Began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped ILANA THE FIRST.
 
ILANA THE FIRST – Began awkwardly and was buffeted between runners shortly thereafter. Leaving the 600m, improved onto heels and had to be steadied.
 
COUNT NICHOLAS – Began awkwardly. Leaving the 100m, obliged to alter course to secure clear running when MACHINE HEAD shifted out.
 
QICKWIT – Bumped on jumping.
 
Race 5: VALE PETER TOOHILL BENCHMARK 70 HANDICAP 1600M
 
PICKO ROCKS – Slow into stride. Shifted in under pressure approaching the winning post and bumped with PATMOS ISLAND.
 
LET FLY – Bumped at the start. Jockey C. Bayliss reported his mount didn’t travel comfortably and was disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
ALMONTI – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn. Shifted out under pressure from the 100m and bumped with PATMOS ISLAND.
 
PATMOS ISLAND – Raced wide in the early stages. Approaching the winning post, raced in restricted room and bumped with ALMONTI which shifted out and PICKO ROCKS which shifted in.
 
I PROMISE YOU – Bumped with LET FLY at the start and became unbalanced.
 
TORQUE LEICA STAR – Steadied shortly after the start.
 
SPILL THE SECRET – Shifted out at the start and bumped with HUSS ON FIRST. Raced wide in the early stages. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
HUSS ON FIRST – Bumped at the start.
 
OUR ORATOR – When asked to comment on the performance, Apprentice J. Busuttin advised her mount raced flat today. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have mild thumps.
 
BELLA BABE – Apprentice C. Vitler could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance.
 
Race 6: LVTC 2025 STARLIGHT FOUNDATION CHARITY GOLF DAY 27 JUNE C,G&E RATINGS BAND 0 - 58 HANDICAP      1400 M
 
RUMBLING AWAY – Began awkwardly and bumped with MEKANIC. Raced keenly in the early stages. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
THREE GONGS– Slow to begin and lost ground. When asked to comment on the performance, Apprentice E. Lang advised that after being slow to begin, the gelding didn’t muster speed in the early and middle stages, however in her opinion finished the race off well. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
ARMSTRONG BAY– Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after making contact with the running rail leaving the enclosure and was cleared to start. Began awkwardly.
 
TARADALE – Jockey J. Huxtable reported that the gelding shifted in near the 800m, bumped the running rail and became awkward for a short distance.
 
MEKANIC – Shifted in at the start and bumped with RUMBLING AWAY.
 
DARLHISMA – Leaving the 800m, steadied from the heels of TARADALE.
 
WHISTLIN' RULER – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
 
Race 7: TICKETS ON SALE 2025 LADBROKES GATTON CUP 28 JUNE C,G&E RATINGS BAND 0 - 58 HANDICAP 1400M
 
The start of this race was delayed when FLASH ZARIZ proved difficult to load and then further became fractious in the barriers prior to the start being effected. Trainer N. Hemmings was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding for its barrier manners.
 
Correct weight was delayed allowing Trainer K. Kemp and Jockey M. Savva, connections of the 2nd placed FORT WILLIAM to view the Stewards footage of the home straight. After viewing the footage, they elected not to proceed with an objection, and correct weight was declared.
 
KEEPMEINTHELOPE – Raced wide for the majority. Near the 100m, bumped and taken wider by FORT WILLIAM which shifted out to obtain clear running.
 
TOMYDONKA – Began awkwardly. Near the 800m, was inconvenienced when FORT WILLIAM shifted in momentarily.
 
MISTER SELFIE – Raced wide for the majority. Inconvenienced and taken wider leaving the 100m by KEEPMEINTHELOPE which was taken out by FORT WILLIAM (M. Savva) which shifted out to obtain clear running. Jockey M. Savva was advised to exercise greater care in similar circumstances.
 
FLASH ZARIZ– Slow into stride. Raced keenly in the early stages.
 
FORT WILLIAM – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Raced wide for the majority. Near the 100m when shifting out to secure clear running, bumped with KEEPMEINTHELOPE.
 
CRAZY EYED FRED – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Approaching the 200m, steadied and taken out by FORT WILLIAM (M. Savva) which shifted out under riding. Jockey M. Savva was severely reprimanded for careless riding pursuant to AR131(a) for this incident.
 
ALFA DUNDEE – Slow into stride. When asked to comment on the performance, Jockey J. Stanley stated that the gelding may be looking for races over further distances than that of todays.
 
REACHOVER – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after making contact with the fence in the mounting enclosure and was cleared to start. Raced wide throughout.
 
Race 8: OFFICIAL 2025 LADBROKES GATTON CUP AFTERPARTY FALVEYS HOTEL GATTON F&M RATINGS BAND 0 - 58 HANDICAP 1400M
 
SPRING DAZE – When asked to comment on the performance, Jockey J. Lloyd stated that after being caught wide in the early stages, he was obliged to restrain and settle further back than anticipated. He further added, that despite the mare settling back in the field, he was disappointed with its finishing efforts. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
KAMARIYA– Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after being contacted by another in the mounting enclosure and was cleared to start.
 
AIMA SUN – Began awkwardly. 
 
SHALMUM – Began awkwardly and bumped with CRYPT DE PIN.
 
JUST WANT YOU BACK – Slow into stride.
 
VORTEXIA – Momentarily inconvenienced near the 700m when COCO JEWEL shifted in.
 
CRYPT DE PIN– Shifted out at the start and bumped with SHALMUM.
