Stewards allowed the following overweights:

Race 1: TOP CITRUS BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1000 Metres
DUKE OF LANCASTER – Very slow to begin.
COSTA CATORI – Over raced in the middle stages and had to be steadied approaching the home turn. Laid out rounding the home turn.
REEBAR – Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout.
LATE NIGHT TALKING – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
Race 2: FORMATT MACHINERY QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1000 Metres
AIR OF AUTHORITY – Began awkwardly.
REVANTAS – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout.
THE HINDUSTAN – Slow to begin.
SHAMIELA – Slow into stride. A post race veterinary examination revealed a minor laceration to the right hip.
KID MCKINLAY – Had to be steadied when racing in restricted room for a short distance in the middle stages. Shifted in abruptly approaching the 50m. Rider C. Meehan reported his mount raced greenly in the home straight.
Race 3: GLENELLEN PTY LTD. CLASS 3 PLATE 1200 Metres
IL CUBO – Fractious in the barriers, began awkwardly and lost ground. Apprentice R. O’Connell could offer no tangible excuse for the performance, however stated that in his opinion, the gelding may not have handled the firmer track conditions.
ROKABYE WARRIOR – Slow to begin. Rider W. O’Connell reported ROKABYE WARRIOR was inclined to lay out entering home straight.
WALLY’S BOY – When asked to comment, rider P. Hamblin reported that WALLY’S BOY travelled well however, when asked for an effort in the home straight failed to respond to his riding.
THE MANIPULATOR – Began awkwardly.
Race 4: BROWN’S CITRUS TRANSPORT GAYNDAH CUP OPEN HANDICAP 1400 Metres
VILLADEN – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
UNLEASH – Laid out rounding the home turn and in the home straight. Rider W. O’Connell was reprimanded pursuant to AR132(7)(a)(i) for using his whip in consecutive strides prior to the 100m.
KAREEM – Raced wide from the 700m. Forced wider rounding the home turn and in the home straight when UNLEASH laid out. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
RAFFISH – Very slow to begin. Trailed the main body of the field throughout. Trainer W. Kuskopf was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s recording for being uncompetitive.
WAR TOO ALL – Slow into stride.
Race 5: GAYNDAH’S BIG ORANGE BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1400 Metres
HARLEQUIN FIELD – Raced wide in the early stages.
NITROGEN – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
SUBDUE – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Raced wide for the majority. When asked to comment on the performance, rider C. Meehan stated that the gelding failed to handle the undulating track conditions.
LIFT’N’MEHIGHER – Began awkwardly and shifted out.
BODYSWERVE – Weakened when placed under pressure approaching the 100m. When asked to comment, rider A. Sewell reported the mare was obliged to work hard in the lead in the early and middle stages, and consequently failed to respond to his riding in the home straight.
MEKANIC – Raced wide throughout.
MISSING BOUNDARIES – Slow to begin. Whilst over racing, steadied from heels approaching the 1000m.
SPIRIT OF SAINTLY – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Held up for clear running approaching the home straight.
