GENERAL
 
Stewards permitted the following overweight:
Race 2: 9 SHOWN THE DOOR – B. Lerena +0.5kg (56kg)
 
RACE 1: INTERFACE LANDSCAPES MAIDEN PLATE 1900 M
 
ENIDZEL – Slow into stride. Raced in restricted room for some distance from the 1800m until the 1700m to the inside of SOWILO RODINA.
 
HOPETOUN PARK – Slow to begin and lost ground. Raced wide in the early stages before obtaining a position outside the leader near the 1400m.
 
SOWILO RODINA – Leaving the 1700m, became awkwardly placed at the heels of EXODINI which shifted in marginally. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
EXODINI – When asked to comment, Jockey K. Zechner was unable to offer an explanation for the disappointing performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
PROUD MISS – Laid out approaching and rounding the home turn.
 
WANNA KISS – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
SHE LOVES ME – Slow to begin. Commenced to weaken from the 600m. When asked to comment on the performance, Jockey D. Boche reported the filly may not have been suited to the synthetic surface. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Trainer D. Murphy was advised SHE LOVES ME would be required to officially trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming.
 
RACE 2: THE URBAN DEVELOPER MAIDEN PLATE 1050 M
 
DRAGON LINK – Began awkwardly. Raced wide until the 600m. Trainer M. Hoysted was advised a warning would be placed on DRAGON LINK for its pre-race manners.
 
IBEGOOD – Laid out approaching and rounding the home turn.
 
RANCOUR – Laid in for a short distance near the 900m. Apprentice F. Sandkuhl reported the mare may not have been suited to the synthetic surface.
 
SHOOTING FIRM – Slow to begin and lost ground. When asked to comment on the performance, Jockey J. Taylor reported SHOOTING FIRM resented the kickback in the early stages and when he was able to come wide in the home straight, the mare finished the race off well.
 
MONEY ON MY MIND – Slow to begin. Approaching the 900m, raced in restricted room to the inside of RANCOUR which was laying in.
 
SHOWN THE DOOR – Began awkwardly.
 
RACE 3: LANTRAK QTIS THREE-YEARS-OLD MAIDEN PLATE 1150 M
 
BENT BRIDGE – Shifted out at the start and bumped LAETOLI.
 
BUBBLE WARRIOR – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Jockey A. Thompson reported the gelding resented the kickback of the synthetic surface. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
COME ON MR SNIPS – Raced wide for the majority.
 
STORM IN SEATTLE – Laid out rounding the home turn and in the early part of the home straight. Jockey B. Thornton reported the gelding resented the kickback of the synthetic surface. Jockey B. Thornton was reminded of his obligations under AR131(b) to fully ride his mount out to the finish line.
 
SWIFT DUKE – Began awkwardly. Laid out for a short distance near the 600m.
 
LAETOLI – Bumped at the start.
 
RACE 4: RAW METAL CORP BM58 HANDICAP 2000 M
 
FOREVER FORTUNE – Blundered on jumping. Leaving the 1700m, became awkward and had to be steadied from the heels of CHAMPAGNE ROUGE (D. Turner) which shifted in when insufficiently clear. Jockey D. Turner was severely reprimanded for careless riding pursuant to AR131(a) in this incident. Raced wide for the majority.
 
CASTERLY ROCK – Tightened for room at the start and bumped CAPITAL BOSS.
 
JUSTAFEVER – Near he 1400m, shifted out to avoid the heels of CHAMPAGNE ROUGE (D. Turner) which shifted in when insufficiently clear. Jockey D. Turner was advised to exercise greater care in similar circumstances. When asked to comment, Jockey D. Peisley was unable to offer an explanation for the disappointing performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Trainer P. Sinclair was advised the mare would be required to officially trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming.
 
CAPITAL BOSS – Bumped on jumping.
 
CHAMPAGNE ROUGE – Began awkwardly. Near the 700m, steadied to avoid the heels of JUSTAFEVER (D. Peisley) which shifted in when insufficiently clear. Jockey D. Peisley was reprimanded for careless riding pursuant to AR131(a) in this incident.
 
PRINCETON AWARD – Began awkwardly and was tightened for room shortly after the start.
 
BLUEPRINT – Near the 500m, raced in restricted room and was steadied. Shifted in over the final 100m.
 
FLYING ROTHE – When asked to comment on the improved performance, Trainer V. Heading stated he believes the gelding is suited to racing on the synthetic surface and today with the short back up, he expected FLYING ROTHE to improve on its recent runs.
 
RACE 5: DEMEX 0 - 60 HANDICAP 1150 M
 
MINTO'S PRINCE – Began awkwardly. Jockey B. Lerena advised the gelding resented the kickback of the synthetic surface. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
BONNIE AMORE – When asked to comment on the tactics adopted, jockey D. Turner advised it was not his intention to lead, however after his mount began well and there was no speed shown from other runners, he elected to take up the leading position.
 
CONSTANT CAFÉ – Leaving the 400m, became awkward at the heels of EXTREME ALLY for a short distance and shifted out. Inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight. Jockey D. Peisley was reprimanded pursuant to AR131(b) for failing to ride his mount out to the finish line.
 
QICKWIT – Blundered on jumping and became unbalanced.
 
EXTREME ALLY – Bumped on jumping. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
DEVINE FALLS – Jockey F. Larson dropped his whip near the 100m.
 
RACE 6: TERRECO RESOURCES BM65 HANDICAP 1150 M
 
WAR DRAMA (NZ) – Bumped with LUMENS LENNY at the start.
 
ITZA CHARMDEEL – Bumped between runners at the start. Raced wide for the majority.
 
CUSTO – Bumped on jumping. Slow to muster early speed. Raced wide for the majority.
 
LUMENS LENNY – Bumped with WAR DRAMA (NZ) at the start. Laid in under pressure in the home straight. Jockey B. Thornton reported the gelding resented the kickback of the synthetic surface. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
ROTHESAY'S LAD – Began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped ITZA CHARMDEEL. Trainer S. Brennan was advised a warning would be placed on ROTHESAY'S LAD for its pre-race manners.
 
STARSARISE – Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout.
 
RACE 7: RITCHIE BROTHERS BM55 HANDICAP 1540 M
 
ARCHERS REIGN – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
TAKUNAI – Began awkwardly. Laid out under pressure in the home straight.
 
THE WELLIAN – Raced wide until 1000m. Apprentice M. Goring was reminded of his obligations under AR131(b) to fully ride his mount out to the finish line.
 
BAROCCO BAR – Began awkwardly. Raced keenly in the middle stages.
 
NEOCLASSICISM – A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame in the near foreleg. Trainer A. Chau was advised that the mare would require a veterinary clearance prior to next racing or trialing.
 
SOMETHING FORJO – Slow to begin.
 
GALACTIC LEGEND – Tightened between runners at the start. Apprentice K. Johnston was reminded of her obligations under AR131(b) to fully ride her mount out to the finish line.
 
AIMA SUN – Began awkwardly.
 
CALVARY – After the running of this race it was noted the gelding had lost its near fore plate.
 
MAGIC OF MILLO – Raced wide for the majority. After the running of this race it was noted the gelding lost its near fore plate.
