Race 1: TAB Maiden Handicap – 900m
 
ALOCTANE - Slow to begin.
 
FREYJA - Began very awkwardly making contact with its outside barrier gate resulting in S. Tomlinson becoming unbalanced and the filly losing ground. Raced greenly when placed under pressure in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly to be suffering from the Thumps.
 
HOSTWIN GENERATION - Slow to begin. Shifted ground inwards under pressure near the 100m having to be corrected.
 
PRIVATE UNIVERSE – Began awkwardly.
 
PALATE - Raced greenly under pressure in the home straight.
 
MAGIC DELTA - Lost its near hind plate during running.
 
Race 2: Olmedo@Aquis in 2020 Open Handicap – 1800m
 
JEDAFFAIR – Over-raced in the early and middle stages.
 
POLEMIC – Shifted wider to improve near the 900m and raced 3 wide without cover for the remainder of the race.
 
EQUIPPED – When questioned into the performance today and noting it was the geldings second run back from a spell, rider S. Galloway stated the horse never travelled comfortably in the early and middle stages of the race and failed to respond to his riding when placed under pressure leaving the 600m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
Race 3: Dubious@Aquis in 2020 QTIS C&G Maiden Handicap – 1200m
 
PURE DEAL – Slow to begin. Shifted in shortly after the start crowding MOONLIGHT ECLIPSE for room.
 
MOONLIGHT ECLIPSE – Slow to begin. Steadied shortly after the start when crowded for room by PURE DEAL which shifted in.
 
DARING MAN – Delayed the start slightly after making contact with the back barrier gate with its off shoulder when entering the barriers. Was unloaded and examined by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to start. Slow to begin.
 
HOPE AS ALWAYS – Slow to begin.
 
MORGENSTERN – A post-race veterinary examination revealed the colt to have bled from the near side nostril. Connections were advised that the horse must undertake a 1000m gallop to the satisfaction of Stewards before being permitted to race again.
 
Race 4: Pierata@Aquis in 2020 QTIS 2YO Fillies Maiden Handicap – 1200m
 
KEEN AS A BEAN – Delayed the start after being fractious in the barriers. Was removed, examined by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to start. Momentarily retrained from heels near the 1000m.
 
WRITTEN BEAUTY – Began awkwardly and shifted out bumping AMY EKCELS.
 
AMY EKCELS – Bumped by WRITTEN BEAUTY which shifted out on jumping and lost ground.
 
SILVER BO – Shifted out on jumping, bumping SMALL REWARD. Rider L. Tilley was reminded of his obligations in relation to his use of the whip prior to the 100m.
 
SMALL REWARD – Jumped inwards at the start bumping with SMALL REWARD which shifted out.
 
Race 5: TAB Benchmark 68 Handicap – 1100m
 
SEEYARON - Jumped inwards at the start bumping BEATSME which in turn shifted in bumping COMMANDING WITNESS which blundered. A short distance later was bumped by BEATSME and became unbalanced.  BRINKMANSHIP which was following was hampered in this incident. Was tightened for room near the 200m when tiring, having to be restrained.
 
BEATSME – Bumped by SEEYARON which shifted in at the start and in turn shifted in bumping COMMANDING WITNESS. When being corrected, shifted out bumping SEEYARON which became unbalanced.
 
COMMANDING WITNESS – Bumped by BEATSME which shifted in causing the gelding to blunder shortly after the start. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
COMMANDEERING – Shortly after the start laid in hampering BRINKMANSHIP. Shifted out approaching the 200m, then continued to shift out inconveniencing DYNAMIC VERSE which shifted wider bumping SEEYARON. Rider J. Woodhouse was severely reprimanded and advised to make a greater effort to keep his mounts straight in similar circumstances.
 
BRINKMANSHIP – Hampered shortly after the start and then raced 3 wide without cover for the majority of the race.
 
STELLAR POWER – Shifted in near the 400m bumping the running rail on two occasions. Held up for clear running in the early part of the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have sustained a minor laceration to the off fore coronet.
 
DYNAMIC VERSE – After being initially disappointed for a run approaching the 200m, shifted wider bumping SEEYARON which was restrained.
 
MISSIE ARCHER – Shifted in abruptly near the 200m to obtain clear running.
 
EURO BELLE – Jockey M. Murphy was fined $100 for excessive use of the whip prior to the 100m.

Race 6: Olmedo@Aquis in 2020 Open Handicap – 1200m
 
After sustaining an injury in Race 5, Jockey M. Murphy was stood down by QAS officers and subsequently replaced on KUTTAMURRA AL in this event by Jockey S. Galloway. Jockey M. Murphy was advised that he must provide a medical clearance before being permitted to ride again.
 
INQUIRY – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Raced fiercely in the early and middle stages.
 
NORDIC SHOW – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
BOLD CHANCE - Over-raced in the early and middle stages. Jockey A. Allen was reminded of his obligations in relation to his whip use prior to the 100m.
 
RINGOS A ROCKSTAR – Raced 3 wide without cover for the majority of the race.
 
Race 7: Dubious@Aquis in 2020 Class 3 Handicap – 1800m
 
MOMENTUM TO WIN – Delayed the start after being difficult to load. When questioned I regards to the tactics adopted today, rider D. Griffin stated that after being caught wide in the early stages and the lack of speed in the race, he elected to allow the gelding to improve forward and obtain the lead near the 1200m. Co-Trainer B. Guy confirmed those instructions to improve forward should he be caught wide as the horse had raced in this manner over the longer distances previously. Co-Trainer B. & D. Guy were advised that a warning would be placed on the geldings barrier manners.
 
PRIDE OF DARCI - Slow to begin. Restrained off heels near the 800m. Laid in proving difficult to ride in the home straight.
 
CHARLIES WORLD - After being initially slow to begin was then inconvenienced shortly after the start by BLACKLOG which was forced outwards. Over-raced in the early and middle stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off hind leg. Connections were advised that they must obtain a veterinary clearance prior to the geldings next race start.
 
FAST TRAIN – Shifted out on jumping forcing BLACKLOG wider. Over-raced in the early stages.
 
BLACKLOG – Forced outwards at the start inconveniencing CHARLIES WORLD.
 
POWERING – Over-raced in the early stages.
 
Race 8: XXXX Dry Class 2 Handicap – 1400m
 
Stewards adjourned an inquiry into the reason ULTIMATE POWER was declared a late scratching at 8:00am resulting in another runner having to be eliminated.
 
BROCKY – Over-raced in the early and middle stages. Rider A. Allen was reminded of his obligations in relation to his use of the whip prior to the 100m.
 
PENASQUITO – Threw its head in the air when being restrained to gain cover when leaving the 800m.
 
KING ALFONSO – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
REAGANS MISTAKE – Raced wide without cover for the majority of the race. Jockey R. Palmer was fined $100 for excessive use of the whip prior to the 100m.
 
App. A. Patis (TAINTED AFFAIR) was reminded of her obligations in relation to her use of the whip prior to the 100m.
